Sergei Kormiltsev: the ideal goal must be scored from the goal line

Interview of the midfielder of the Moscow "Torpedo" and the national team of Ukraine Sergei Kormiltsev, in which he spoke about the path of his formation in football.

Sergey Kormiltsev - Russian football ist, who took Ukrainian citizenship for the sake of
careers in the international arena. Even in the last qualifying cycle, he regularly
performed under the blue and yellow flag. But Oleg Blokhin does not attract the captain
Moscow "Torpedo" and one of the best midfielders of the Russian championship in
the composition of the squad entrusted to him.

The footballer rarely agrees to interviews, but the correspondent's questions
    "2000" answered very frankly.

    - Sergey, did you consciously make the decision to become a non-public person?
    - Everything happened by itself. Who is usually in sight? The one who scores goals, and I'm on
the field is not such a prominent figure. Yes, and I do not strive for publicity, although a person
happy. In a team, for example, I can say a lot of things, but with strangers
    people get together hard.

    - Ingenuity attracts in your game. Where does such non-standardness come from?
    thinking?

    - In youth football and in the early years as a professional, coaches gave
the ability to improvise. The "old men" in the team "did not choke". In Barnaul
Dynamo encouraged unusual moves on the pitch, while Zarya from Leninsk-Kuznetsk
there were a lot of young people in general. We were allowed everything, even in our own penalty area
to beat rivals ... Now it is also very pleasant to play in Torpedo. We have
all midfielders act with an emphasis on technique, hence the improvisation in
    team action.

    - Almost all football players, regardless of their role, admit that they
I like to hit on goal. You don't like to disturb goalkeepers. This component
the game is not interesting to you because it is too simple?

    - For me, the ideal goal should be scored from the goal line. In general, when for a long time
you can't hit the goal, then, being in a shock position, you think:
a good moment, but I won't score again, it's better to give it to my partner, he has something
more chances. I lack selfishness. I want to rebuild, I'm getting ready, but I'm leaving
on the field and forget ...

There were times, in "Zarya", Elista "Uralan" I wore the best scorers.
He scored regularly, even from 20 meters. And in Kiev "Dynamo" and then in "Torpedo"
it is impossible to hit the gate. But I cannot say that this is only out of doubt.
I am a confident enough person.

    - Which club made you a professional footballer?
    - Grew up in skill at Uralan. After that they became interested in my person
famous teams. For which I am grateful to Pavel, who then trained the Elistians.
Yakovenko, who taught me a professional approach to business. True, I understood it
not right away. At first, I even ran away from the team - I could not withstand heavy loads:
Three workouts a day is no joke. But then I gradually got involved in the work,
realized that I was worth something. For the first time, much depended on me in the actions of the team. From
an ordinary player, I have become a leader. The rivals began to pay me extra
attention, the defenders began to patronize personally ...

Of course, it was especially interesting in Dynamo Kiev. Get into it after
Elista was great. In Kiev, I saw what is being done in this city for the team, for
football players. I met Valery Vasilievich Lobanovsky. Him alone
a glance was enough so that the player did not stop during the whole match, but
ran like an institute. The team speed at Dynamo is insane. I'm huge at once
I felt the contrast with Uralan. He played for Dynamo-2 and was by no means
the worst. After each match in Kiev, a printout of technical and tactical actions
give out. I had 154-160 of them. This, believe me, is an impressive indicator. V
the main squad I was assigned to the position of the left holding midfielder,
built into the scheme of actions, but were not released on the field. For example, Alexey
Mikhailichenko, before joining the main team, played for many years in a double. But
I couldn't wait - I didn't like sitting on the bench. Not enough
patience. Therefore, when Vitaly Shevchenko called to "Torpedo", I immediately got ready
    to Moscow.

    - Dynamo Kiev has long been considered a grand team in the post-Soviet
space. Is there a recipe thanks to which you can start playing there?

    - The most important thing is sports arrogance and patience. Football players gathered in Kiev
high class, the composition there is very even. I came from Uralan, where I was
leader, and I had to sit on the bench. I began to delve into myself, and this is often
    interferes with focus on work.

    - Looking at the current Dynamo, one gets the impression that such qualities
only football players from far abroad possess, because often in the composition of the Kievites
    2-3 Ukrainians come out.

    - When I watched the Champions League match between Dynamo and Bayer, I caught myself on
the thought that I have no one to root for in this fight. My friend Valentine
Belkevich was not on the field - he was absent due to injury. Ten foreigners in
Dynamo's line-up is not entirely correct. It's hard for me to judge which one is now
the atmosphere in the team, but in my time we had a very friendly team. I AM
came from Uralan with Artem Yashkin. Then Sergey also appeared in the club.
Serebrennikov. We were well received, we quickly adapted.

    - Do you keep in touch with your former partners?
    - Alas, this does not always work. I recently spoke with Alexander Kiryukhin,
whose last refuge was a flight from the Ukrainian major league
Boryspil "Borisfen". Yashkin was lost somewhere in Korea. I only communicate with
Valik Belkevich. He also invited me to his wedding, but, unfortunately, I did not
    was able to come.

    - What coaches do you find easier to work with?
    - It is important for me that the mentor does not jump from side to side - he likes something
my game, then suddenly no. This is all right in Torpedo. An additional plus
team is also the fact that all players speak Russian, understand
each other and the coach. For example, I'm not sure if I could play in a team,
the backbone of which are foreigners.

    - Nowadays, players change teams one after another. In your opinion,
the concept of club patriotism in the past?

    - As soon as a lot of money came to football, and patriotism was leveled. Of course in
ideally, loyalty to the team is a good thing, but in practice, at the present time, it
impossible. Coaches, management are changing, the players are not satisfied with the conditions.
You yourself understand that the realities of life do not always coincide with the ideal
    representations.

    - Do you quickly forget defeats?
    - On the contrary, I worry for a long time, and if I played badly myself ... After the match, a dream
which? You just fall asleep at four. "Torpedo" is now on television often
show at night. I come home, turn on the TV, watch and wonder how I could
to choose such a bad move at one point or another ?! However, last match the whole
remember to the details. I go and sort things out for a whole week: I played correctly, incorrectly.

    - Does the football player Kormiltsev have a typical mistake?
    - I am in a hurry sometimes. The desire to maintain the pace fails. It seems to be
stop, just hold the ball a little, and I immediately give the pass to my partner.

    - In the last championship, after the first round, the car factories were in the lead. However, according to
the results of the championship finished fifth. What was not enough for a higher
    result?

    - Experience and tournament strategy. We will try to take into account last year's mistakes in the current
championship and perform a local task - to increase the final indicator. That is
break into European cups. I think now we are quite capable of it.

    - What is the attitude of Torpedo to the fact that the team captain is a legionnaire?
    - Absolutely normal. At least the guys completely trust the role of mediator
between management and team. And the coaching staff consults with me. AND
when I say that the workload is too heavy, mentors often reduce it.

    - Where will you settle at the end of your career?
    - Most likely in Kiev. Moscow is not very suitable for me. In the Ukrainian
the capital is much more comfortable for me. Let's say I spent my winter vacation in Ukraine.
However, let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'm not going to end my career yet.
I'm going to play football for about 12 years (laughs).

    - What about the desire to return to the Ukrainian national team?
    - It is not worth discussing this issue at the present time. I don't think I'm particularly needed
national squad. If a team is confidently leading in its group, it means that
Oleg Blokhin guessed 100 percent with its composition and correctly does that
trusts proven fighters. And here's another thing I ask you to write: I wish Andrey success
Voronin and Tolik Tymoshchuk. These are my friends.

    - You were born in Russia, and according to your passport, you are Ukrainian. For the national team of which country
    worried more?

    - Frankly speaking: for Ukraine. Yes, I was born in Siberia, in Barnaul. In Russia
my parents live, but a few years ago I became a Ukrainian. That's why I'm sick
for your country. Of course, I also wish the Russian team success, however
the Ukrainian team is closer to me. However, I am a child of the Soviet Union. For me
Russia and Ukraine are one whole.

    - Do you have a football dream?
    - Of course. Although I know it will never come true. Why? Can you
laugh, but I would really like to go out on the field with
Real Madrid stars. The most eerily wondering if I can get anything on
this level. Although I played against Madrid with Dynamo Kiev and for
the Ukrainian national team played against Spain. But these are still different things.

    - If at one time you had not chosen the profession of a football player, what in your life
    would come out on top?

    - Football for me is everything. If not for him, I would not have met my wife and
friends. I have a very creative and highly paid profession. What
concerns other vital interests, then at school I was fixated on history.
Teachers even seriously advised to enter the institute at the Faculty of History.
Or maybe I would take up martial arts. Yes, I'm always a ringleader
was in all companies, loved to participate in theatrical performances at school, even
break dance danced. Maybe he would become an artist.

Throughout January, he trained with a torpedo double and waited for proposals. But when your previous club thundered into the first division, and you are already 33 and have a passport of a Ukrainian citizen in your pocket, the search for a new team risks dragging on for a long time. And yet the choice of the ex-captain of “Torpedo” surprised many.

    - Why did you sign a contract with Zorya Luhansk, which settled in the second-last place in the Ukrainian championship?
    - In Russia, there were no specific options. So, some talk. And by February I wanted to decide on the club. So I went to "Zarya" together with another former torpedo officer Aristarkhov. The contract was signed for six months. What will happen next - we'll see.

    - When did you realize that you will not stay in Torpedo?
    - When I received a statuette from the management at a banquet after the end of the championship. In "Torpedo" already something like a tradition: if a player is presented with a gift that evening, then it's time for him to collect things. With Lukhvich, for example, a couple of years ago, they also did not renew the contract, but before that they gave the service.

    - Actually, seventeen.
    - It's formal. And if you add up the number of minutes spent on the field, more than nine games, I think, will not come running. In our matches, the plate under the fifth number was always hot - I was either changed or released to replace ...

    - Were you ready to go to the first league?
    - Easily. But there is a strict limit on legionnaires, and I have a Ukrainian passport. Although I was born in Barnaul and have lived almost all my life in Russia.

    - Did you have to give up Russian citizenship when in 1999 you decided to play for the Ukrainian national team?
    - Yes. Dual citizenship is prohibited in Ukraine. At one time, as an exception, only Kalitvintsev was provided with it - by a special decree of Kuchma ... In "Torpedo", by the way, they said that if I weren't a legionnaire, they would have left me. In winter, in addition to me, we had 11 foreigners on contracts. Given that three people can play in the first league.

Dmitry Borodin once remarked: "No matter what state Kormiltsev is in, he is capable of making a game with one pass." Why didn't you suit the head coach last year?
    - In 2005, in the Premier League, I lost only to Carvalho in the number of assists. The Brazilian had 13, mine - one less. That season was for me, perhaps, the best in “Torpedo”. But already at the training camp I felt a chill on the part of Petrenko. He explained that he was playing a new scheme in which there was no place for me.

    - What is the scheme?
    - Like Chelsea - with shuttles, without wing midfielders. Then began incomprehensible shuffling with tactics and composition. We broke everything too quickly, without really creating anything in return. Physically, the team turned out to be unprepared for the season - anyone in the “Torpedo” will confirm this to you. The game was not delivered. They often acted according to the principle: if you do not know what to do with the ball, give it to your opponent and impose a fight. But they don't play football like that ...

    - How did you leave Alyoshin?
    - Haven't seen him for a long time. He did not appear at that banquet, and when I quit, he talked with Mishin. The last time I was in Alyoshin's office was three years ago. We then gave out a sad streak of ten, it seems, matches without victories, and Vladimir Vladimirovich summoned me, the team captain, to his office.

    - Arranged a dressing?
    - No, scattering is not his method. I just politely asked what the reasons for the failures were. I can't say anything bad about Alyoshin during the years I spent at Torpedo. Yes, they paid us less than in other clubs, but without cheating and on time.

    LESHKA

How did you react to the words of Sergei Petrenko in a recent interview with “SE”: “Kormiltsev squandered his talent. Too frivolously he goes through life”?
    - In some ways, Petrenko is right, I do not argue. If the career is evaluated on a five-point system, it turned out to be a C with a plus. I am a sociable person, I do not belong to ascetics, otherwise I would have really achieved more. In addition, God saved from serious injuries. Surgeons rarely manage to finish playing at this level up to 33 years old and never fall under the "knife". But in contrast to, say, my childhood friend Lesha Smertin, I lacked some kind of integrity. Here is who is an example to follow! Very hardworking, regime worker. He just walks right through life, not being scattered over trifles.

    - Where did you meet?
    - In the Barnaul sports boarding school. I know his father well, who in childhood forced Lesha to climb the stairs home to the 8th floor, and even jumping on one leg in a race with the elevator. He offered me to do this too - I politely refused. And he made fun of Leshka. Oh, it was a fun time! I remember we went with our children's team to a tournament in Nalchik. The coach was given money, and he lost all of them on the way to the thimbles. So that we wouldn't die of hunger, we stole bread and jars of cucumbers from the store. It is fortunate that no one was caught ... Smertin was small, puny, but the team of craftsmen immediately appreciated him. At the age of 16, the men already trusted him to shoot the penalty! Although with young people then they did not stand on ceremony.

    - That is?
    - Today young guys sit on the bench, pick their noses and get 50 percent of the bonus. And before, even if you went out on the field for a short time, they took all the money from you. "To the judges," they said.

    - Who took it?
    - Team veterans. It was believed that you did not earn this money. Of course, this is already too much, but some distance between the "old people" and the youth is necessary. There must be people on the field who can shout out, put the guy in his place if he suddenly starts burrowing. And now, when everything is on contracts, how will you deliver it? Then the president of the club will come to you and say: "Yes, I need this 20-year-old boy more than you. Because you can sell him, but who will buy you, old fuck?"

    - Has life divorced you with Mortal?
    - Yes. Unfortunately. He went abroad, gradually each formed his own circle of friends. We rarely see each other. Despite this, I am sure that if you need help, I can always rely on Leshka. Just like he is on me.

Your "Zarya" from Leninsk-Kuznetsky has not existed for many years, but people remember how they called her "Siberian" Spartak ".
    - We played romantic football. For this, the fans christened us that way. I have never met a more friendly team than in Zarya. We lived like one family - and that says it all. If someone's car was stolen, the whole team immediately went to comb the city. And yet we sat out at Zarya. Leninsk-Kuznetsky is a small mining town. Boring and rather gloomy. After seven in the evening, it was better not to meddle in the street. The criminal situation, as they say, did not dispose. So what was there to do? Drink and play football. And after the matches, such sabantuis were rolled ...

    "TOADS"

    - In Elista at the end of 1996, did you and Smertin decide to go together?
    - Yes. But he was released six months later. By that time, I had already got used to the "Uralan". And at first it was torment. In "Zarya" all trainings were based on work with the ball - "squares", "holes-holes". No crosses. And in "Uralan" we did not get out of the gym. I was so frail that I could not lift the barbell. Trampoline jumping, which Yakovenko adored, was also difficult. He looked enviously at Yanshin. He, like a gutta-percha, could perform any somersault worse than a circus performer. I tried to escape from Uralan twice. The first time - from the fees. Disappeared in English, leaving a note at the hotel: "Sorry, I couldn't bear the stress. I'm leaving home." Yakovenko was shocked.

    - No wonder.
    - Oddly enough, he forgave me. A month later I returned. The second time, during the season, I almost left. We lost the Cup at home to Rotor. Yakovenko was very upset, “stuffed” some of the players, including me. Everyone is on edge. Well, I think, to the devil. And it’s unrealistic to get out of Elista in the evening. No trains, no planes. Unless to cut two hundred and a half versts to Volgograd by car. I caught a taxi, agreed with the driver that he would take it there. There were two more players with me.

    - Have you gone far?
    - Far. Until the first traffic police post. They deployed us there. I can't imagine how the club found out about everything. We managed to get in touch with the police, which blocked the roads.

    - Lobanovsky said: "If you went through Yakovenko's school, you will have a rest in my trainings."
“They wouldn't pay big money in Elista - no one would spend a day in this hell. The most important thing at the training camp was to survive the morning. At 7 am, exercise on the beach, "frogs" ...

    - What other "frogs"?
    - Well, this is when you jump on the sand like a frog. Muscles then ache so much that it is impossible to sit. Sasha Ignatiev came to the "Uralan" for the bride, asks: "Shall we play cards in the evening?" "Sanya, - we answer. - You will first live to the evening". Indeed, after the third training day of the day, he had no time for cards. At 8 pm I was already asleep as if killed.

Worst of all was the spare. They were chased without respite. Those who played at the base could relax a little at least the day after the match. Run for about 20 minutes - and into the locker room. And the substitutes - eight times a thousand meters. It was a great incentive to come out in the lineup all the time. Yakovenko, in my opinion, sometimes put experiments on us. I could give an exercise - shuttle run 60 times a hundred meters at maximum speed. A minute of rest after the twentieth spurt. And this is not at the training camp, but three days before the official game! It is not surprising that someone lost consciousness, and Umar Markhiev was even taken to the hospital in an ambulance straight from the stadium.

    KIEV

    - Was it easier in Kiev?
    - Not much. There, too, in the preseason, it happened, the newcomers fell exhausted. They crawled over the edge, they felt sick, but they got up and ran on. I will never forget the two Georgians who were taken to the screening. They howled from the exertion and in all seriousness asked: "If we die here, send our things home. Here is the address" ... Kiev stunned me at first. Before that, I lived in small towns, did not see anything, I had nothing but a tracksuit. No apartment, no car. And then I got everything at once.

    - It turns out, until 25 years old, until they moved to Dynamo, never sat behind the wheel?
    - Imagine. True, I had no luck with cars in Kiev. I bought the first one from Vashchuk. But he crashed this Mercedes before he gave Vlad all the money for it. I had no driving skill, sat down at the base - and decided to go right away. There is an automatic gearbox, I look at the lever of the letter R. Yeah, I think it's a rocket. I pressed the gas pedal to the floor. And this, it turns out, was the reverse. And with all its might drove into the wall. It was very uncomfortable. Another time Serebrennikov drove into my ass, unable to brake in time. We got out of our brand new cars, shook hands and together drove to a car service. I was amazed that all Dynamo players were given special cards. Show her to the traffic cop and he must let go. Reckless people like Gusin and Kaladze took advantage of this. Such races were organized on the way to Koncha-Zaspa - Schumacher never dreamed of! Once Lobanovsky was overtaken with a whistle, so he arranged a meeting. He swore terribly.

    - How did Lobanovsky remain in your memory?
    - He was laconic, but he expressed his thoughts so clearly that everything became clear. It was useless to argue with him. Any of your arguments were shattered by two or three phrases. It was hard to play in Kiev, because Lobanovskiy kept up with all the newcomers in Dynamo -2. Someone a year, someone - two. Not everyone will have enough patience to wait so long. Especially if you see that you are not weaker than others. However, you can understand the coach. The played line-up, there is a result - why change something? In “Dynamo” I played sporadically, but in a year and a half I ran the circle of honor four times - we won both the championship and the Cup twice.

You spoke extremely self-critically about your parting with Dynamo: “I, you fool, did not understand where I got to. It was impossible to leave there.”
    - Yes, I was in a hurry to leave. Lobanovsky himself spoke about this.

    - To you?
    - No, at a team meeting. The guys conveyed his words. To be honest, I'm tired of being in Dynamo -2. It was summer, ahead - the traditional gathering in Yalta. Endless mountain crossings. Longing ... And then a call from Vitaly Shevchenko, with whom I worked in "Uralan". "Torpedo" offered me a decent amount at that time - half a million dollars. I broke off and flew to Moscow. There, I was surprised to learn that my salary would be less than at Dynamo. Tired of bargaining, I decided that I was returning to Kiev. I called there, and I heard: "And we have already sold you."

No, I do not regret that I gave six years to Torpedo, but ... Today, of course, I would not rush to leave Dynamo. And I would go to Yalta to work hard, and would do my best to get into the composition there. At some point, I set myself a task: to return to my room at the base in Koncha-Zaspa. The player is not Dynamo, of course, but the Ukrainian national team.

    - Are you back?
    - Yes! Under Buriak, he played for the national team regularly. Blokhin challenged him to two matches at the beginning of the 2006 World Cup qualifying round, but I did not enter the field. Nevertheless, on New Year's Eve, I found a postcard from Georgy Surkis in the mailbox. He congratulated me on being awarded the title of International Master of Sports. It's nice that they didn't forget. And the main players of the Ukrainian national team were given honored masters for reaching the finals of the World Championship.

    - You still have an apartment in Kiev. Are you renting?
    - No. It’s probably not practical, but I didn’t want to let strangers go there. In general, I was going to settle in Kiev after I finished playing. Now I changed my mind. It will be difficult for my wife and daughter who do not know the language. Yes, and in Moscow for six years I have acquired contacts, it is easier to find a job here. Or maybe I'll go to my native Barnaul. Help my father in our family business. He is the CEO of the largest automotive leasing company in Siberia. This is the only official in the Altai Territory to present "GAZ". Recently, my father was awarded a medal in the Kremlin! The company is doing well, so I won't be lost without football.

    Alexander KRUZHKOV

    Youth and early career

Born in Barnaul on January 22, 1974. He was engaged in the Barnaul sports school "Dynamo", his first coach was V. N. Belozersky. He started playing for Dynamo Barnaul in the second league of the USSR championship, then played for Zarya from Leninsk-Kuznetsky. In this team, Kormiltsev played with Alexei Smertin, whom he had known since childhood.

    Uralan

In the Elista "Uralan" Kormiltsev came at the end of 1996 at the invitation of Pavel Yakovenko, six months later Alexey Smertin joined him. Together with Uralan, Kormiltsev won the tournament in the first Russian league, earning a promotion.

    Dynamo Kiev

In 1998, on the recommendation of Yakovenko, Kormiltsev signed a three-year contract with Dynamo Kiev, coached by Valery Lobanovsky. Kormiltsev played more often in the reserve team "Dynamo-2", which played in the first league, in the first team he appeared on the field in only 28 league matches and 10 European cup matches. Nevertheless, Dynamo together with Kormiltsev twice became national champions and twice won the national cup.

    "Torpedo"

Rarely joining Dynamo Kiev, Kormiltsev decided to move to another team, and, at the invitation of coach Vitaly Shevchenko, with whom he worked in 1998 at Uralan, the footballer returned to Russia, having signed a contract with Moscow Torpedo. The transfer cost the Moscow club 500 thousand US dollars.

The first match for "Torpedo" was played on July 4, 2000 against Moscow "Spartak", coming on as a substitute already in the 15th minute of the match. The first goal in the black-and-white squad was scored on August 10, 2002 against Shinnik Yaroslavl.

    "Zorya Lugansk"

He signed a six-month contract with the Ukrainian club Zarya from Lugansk. He was chosen as the captain of the Luhansk team. He returned to Barnaul, where he played for the amateur team "Kommunalschik".

In early September 2007, he was appointed head of the selection department of the Moscow Torpedo.

    Dynamo Barnaul

In February 2008 he returned to football as a player, having signed a one-year contract with his first club in his career - Dynamo Barnaul, playing in the first division. However, during the break between the rounds of the championship, the team came new coach Gennady Morozov, with whom Sergei refused to work.

    Coaching work

Forced to end his football career, Sergei Kormiltsev took up coaching work at Dynamo (Barnaul). However, in September 2010, Sergei was convicted of violating the RFU regulations: as a coach of the Barnaul club, he made bets on the sweepstakes on the outcome of his own team's meetings:

    Game characteristic

He played as a midfielder, had an excellent penetrating pass and had a good command of the tackle technique.

As noted by his former partners, he has an extraordinary sense of humor, was an informal leader in the team. In Torpedo, and then in Zarya Luhansk and Dynamo Barnaul, he became the team captain.

    National team career

    Russian team

In 1998, being a Uralan player, Kormiltsev received a call-up to the Russian national team, in which he entered the field once. On November 18, 1998, the Russian national team under the leadership of Anatoly Byshovets in the experimental composition held a friendly game in Brazil, where they lost to the home team with a score of 1: 5. Kormiltsev went to starting lineup, however, did not show himself in any way and was replaced already in the 38th minute of the match.

    National team of Ukraine

He was invited to play for the Ukrainian national team on the initiative of Valery Lobanovsky, who was in charge of Dynamo Kiev. He, as well as two other Russians from Dynamo, Artyom Yashkin and Sergei Serebrennikov, had to accept Ukrainian citizenship for this.

He made his debut in the Ukrainian national team on April 26, 2000 in a friendly match with the Bulgarian national team, which ended with a guest victory of the Ukrainians with a score of 1: 0.

He continued to be called up to the national team after leaving Dynamo.

In the qualifying round for the 2006 World Championship, the coach of the national team Oleg Blokhin called Kormiltsev to several training camps, but he was not included in the team that went to the world championship in Germany. Nevertheless, he was awarded the title of "Master of Sports of International Class".

In total, as part of the national team, he held 15 meetings, of which 4 were official.

    FROM « Dawn» BEFORE « Dawn»

Throughout January, he trained with a torpedo double and waited for proposals. But when your previous club thundered into the first division, and you are already 33 and have a passport of a Ukrainian citizen in your pocket, the search for a new team risks dragging on for a long time. And yet, the choice of the ex-captain of "Torpedo" surprised many.

    STATUETTE

Why did you sign a contract with Zorya Luhansk, which settled in the penultimate place in the Ukrainian championship?

In Russia, there were no specific options. So, some talk. And by February I wanted to decide on the club. So I went to Zarya together with another former torpedo officer Aristarkhov. The contract was signed for six months. What will happen next - we'll see.

When did you realize that you won't stay at Torpedo?

When at a banquet after the end of the championship he received a statuette from the management. In "Torpedo" already something like a tradition: if a player is presented with a gift that evening, then it's time for him to collect things. With Lukhvich, for example, a couple of years ago, they also did not renew the contract, but before that they gave the service.

It was foolish to count on the line up of those wishing to invite Kormiltsev. Last season was worse than ever. Torpedo was eliminated, I played nine matches in total.

    Actually, seventeen.

It's formal. And if you add up the number of minutes spent on the field, more than nine games, I think, will not come running. In our matches, the plate under the fifth number was always hot - I was either changed or released to replace ...

Were you ready to go to the first league?

Easy. But there is a strict limit on legionnaires, and I have a Ukrainian passport. Although I was born in Barnaul and have lived almost all my life in Russia.

Did you have to give up Russian citizenship when in 1999 you decided to play for the Ukrainian national team?

Yes. Dual citizenship is prohibited in Ukraine. At one time, as an exception, only Kalitvintsev was provided with a special decree of Kuchma ... In "Torpedo", by the way, they said that if I had not been a legionnaire, they would have left me. In winter, in addition to me, we had 11 foreigners on contracts. Given that three people can play in the first league.

Dmitry Borodin once remarked: "No matter what state Kormiltsev is in, he is capable of making a game with one pass." Why didn't you suit the head coach last year?

In 2005, I was second only to Carvalho in the Premier League in terms of assists. The Brazilian had 13, mine - one less. That season was for me, perhaps, the best in Torpedo. But already at the training camp I felt a chill on the part of Petrenko. He explained that he was playing a new scheme in which there was no place for me.

    What is the scheme?

Like Chelsea - with shuttles, without wing midfielders. Then began incomprehensible shuffling with tactics and composition. We broke everything too quickly, without really creating anything in return. Physically, the team turned out to be unprepared for the season - anyone at Torpedo will confirm this to you. The game was not delivered. They often acted according to the principle: if you do not know what to do with the ball, give it to your opponent and impose a fight. But they don't play football like that ...

    How did you leave Alyoshin?

Haven't seen him for a long time. He did not appear at that banquet, and when I quit, he talked with Mishin. The last time I was in Alyoshin's office was three years ago. We then gave out a sad streak of ten, it seems, matches without victories, and Vladimir Vladimirovich summoned me, the team captain, to his office.

    Arranged a dressing down?

No, scattering is not his method. I just politely asked what the reasons for the failures were. I can't say anything bad about Alyoshin during the years I spent at Torpedo. Yes, they paid us less than in other clubs, but without cheating and on time.

How did they react to Sergei Petrenko's words in a recent interview with SE: “Kormiltsev squandered his talent. He walks too lightly through life ”?

In some ways, Petrenko is right, I do not argue.

    Where did you meet?

In the Barnaul sports boarding school.

    That is?

Today young guys sit on the bench, pick their noses and get 50 percent of the bonus. And before, even if you went out on the field for a short time, they took all the money from you. “To the judges,” they said.

    Who took it?

Team veterans. It was believed that you did not earn this money. Of course, this is too much, but some distance between the “old people” and the youth is necessary. There must be people on the field who can shout out, put the guy in his place if he suddenly starts burrowing. And now, when everything is on contracts, how will you deliver it? Then the president of the club will come to you and say: “Yes, I need this 20-year-old boy more than you. Because you can sell it, but who's going to buy you, old shit? "

Has life divorced you with Mortal?

Yes. Unfortunately. He went abroad, gradually each formed his own circle of friends. We rarely see each other. Despite this, I am sure that if you need help, I can always rely on Leshka. Just like he is on me.

Your "Zarya" from Leninsk-Kuznetsky has not existed for many years, but people remember how they called it "Siberian" Spartak ".

We played romantic football.

    "ZHABKI"

In Elista at the end of 1996, did you and Smertin decide to go together?

Yes. But he was released six months later. By that time, I had already got used to the "Uralan". And at first it was torment. At Zarya, all trainings were based on work with the ball - “squares”, “holes-holes”. Disappeared in English, leaving a note at the hotel: “Sorry, I could not stand the stress. I'm leaving home. " Yakovenko was shocked.

    No wonder.

Oddly enough, he forgave me.

    Have you gone far?

Far. Until the first traffic police post. They deployed us there. I can't imagine how the club found out about everything. We managed to get in touch with the police, which blocked the roads.

Lobanovsky said: "If you went through Yakovenko's school, you will have a rest in my trainings."

If they didn't pay big money in Elista - no one would spend a day in this hell. The most important thing at the training camp was to survive the morning. At 7 am, exercise on the beach, "frogs" ...

    What other "frogs"?

Well, this is when you jump on the sand like a frog. Muscles then ache so much that it is impossible to sit. Sasha Ignatiev arrived at Uralan for the bride, asks: "Shall we play cards in the evening?" “Sanya,” we answer. "You will first live to the evening." Indeed, after the third training day of the day, he had no time for cards.

    Was it easier in Kiev?

Not much. There, too, in the preseason, it happened, the newcomers fell exhausted. They crawled over the edge, they felt sick, but they got up and ran on. I will never forget the two Georgians who were taken to the screening. They howled from the exertion and in all seriousness asked: “If we die here, send our things home. Here is the address "... Kiev stunned me at first. Before that, I lived in small towns, did not see anything, I had nothing but a tracksuit. No apartment, no car. And then I got everything at once.

It turns out that up to 25 years old, until they moved to Dynamo, never sat behind the wheel?

How did Lobanovsky remain in your memory?

He was laconic, but he expressed his thoughts so clearly that everything became clear. I played at Dynamo sporadically, but in a year and a half I ran the honor circle four times - we won both the championship and the Cup twice.

You spoke extremely self-critically about your parting with Dynamo: “I didn’t understand, you fool, where I got to. It was impossible to leave there ”.

Yes, I was in a hurry to leave. Lobanovsky himself spoke about this.

No, at a team meeting. There I was surprised to learn that my salary will be less than in Dynamo. Tired of bargaining, I decided that I was returning to Kiev. I call there, and I hear: "And we have already sold you."

    Are you back?

Yes!

You still have an apartment in Kiev. Are you renting?

No. It’s probably not practical, but I didn’t want to let strangers go there. In general, I was going to settle in Kiev after I finished playing. Now I changed my mind. It will be difficult for my wife and daughter, who do not know the language.

« WAITING FOR ZYRYANOV AND BORODIN»
    "IA Amitel", 28.12.2009
Sergei Kormiltsev is a well-known figure by the standards of Russian football. And by the standards of Altai football, he is completely a legend. He managed to play for two national teams, was the captain of one of the oldest football teams in our country, after which he returned to his hometown to finish the game. Now he is one of the Dynamo coaches. In the New Year's interview with IA "Amitel" Kormiltsev recalled all the stages of his career ...

    « WHEN WENT ON « BERNABEU» , FEET WILDING»

What is it like to live in your homeland as a legionnaire or to be excommunicated from football? The story of the ex-captain of "Torpedo" and the player of two national teams - firsthand.

On September 1, 2010, a note appeared on the official page of the Professional Football League: “The PFL sent the RFU President Sergei Fursenko the materials at its disposal, testifying to the implementation of bets in bookmakers by official participants in the competition in violation of the RFU and PFL regulatory documents. The sports director and head of the Volgar-Gazprom team Boris Bashkin, the coaches of Dynamo Barnaul Sergey Kormiltsev and Vadim Britkin, as well as the Pskov-747 football player made bets on the results of matches, including the results of games with the participation of their clubs. Valery Alekseev ".

The fan would have calmly passed the dry information deafening - if not for the presence of one remarkable surname among the little-known. The former captain of the capital "Torpedo", "collection" of the two countries and just a cool in the recent past dispatcher.

Since then, we have not heard of Kormiltsev - although the one-year ban on football activities expired long ago. Where is he, how? It turned out - in Irkutsk. He works as an assistant to the head coach. The gathering of "Baikal" in Chekhov, near Moscow, is a convenient opportunity for a conversation with a football player of a difficult and extraordinary fate. A native Siberian who, on the recommendation of Master Lobanovsky, took Ukrainian citizenship and became a legionnaire in his homeland ...

“Someone should have punished someone demonstratively. Then I turned up ... "

Are you now in fits and starts in Moscow?

Yes, exclusively on business. Arrivals. He came to study, now they flew to the training camp. Three or four times a year I visit the capital.

What else connects you with Moscow? Maybe real estate?

Except friends - nothing. Friends and memories. I have never had my own housing in Moscow - only rented. I bought some real estate in Kiev, and even sold that on time.

As a footballer, you intended to settle in Kiev at the end of your career. Plans changed?

You know, as they say: man proposes, but God disposes. I returned to my home. I'm fine. Two children, wife, parents - all together. Nothing to regret. Maybe it's for the best that things turned out that way.

Haven't you been to Ukraine for a long time?

Oh, a long time ago ... Probably since 2008. As he played in Lugansk, he never returned.

You can't be seen in public space either. Do they not remember or do you deliberately avoid journalists?

Why, at the local level, I sometimes communicate with your colleagues. And the federal press is probably no longer very interested in me. And there were no special reasons for the interview. Except for one thing, but I don't want to remember him at all ...

Sorry, but it would be unprofessional for me not to ask about the story five years ago. Were you and your colleague Britkin punished in the case then?

To say that I was used is to defend myself, to make excuses. And I do not want to do either one or the other. What happened happened. Lesson for the future. In that story, my guilt was much less than was presented.

    Anyone need a scapegoat?

Well, of course! There was a struggle for power in Russian football. Someone had to punish someone demonstratively. Then I turned up. Let's not talk about that anymore, okay?

Where is your permanent residence now?

At home, in Barnaul. I recently signed a contract with Baikal, so now I am in Irkutsk.

You started playing for Dynamo Barnaul and finished there. Did you guess so on purpose?

At first, I didn’t guess anything - I just lived there from birth (smiles). And what I ended up in Barnaul - it happened, coincidence. The team reached the first league, they called home to help their fellow countrymen. The experience was unsuccessful. After the top division I did not understand a little where I got to. Not a very good situation, plus injuries - it turned out to be an unimportant season.

Have you not worked well with the coach yet?

Oh, well, yes. I don’t even attach any serious importance to this - in the lower leagues this is all the time. And when a team hangs out in last place, problems are all the more inevitable. I think nothing terrible happened.

"While we were running on Copacabana, they stole two bags."

If I ask you to refresh your memory of your only match for the Russian national team, will you tell us something specific or has everything blurred over the years?

How can you forget this? I will remember that departure forever. We then lived for a few more days in Rio, on Copacabana. Still, not every day we went to Brazil and played with masters of the level of Rivaldo, Denilson, Kafu. Of course, a lot of impressions. I remember my replacement in the 40th minute. I thought I’ll finish the time at least, but no luck. They drove us very much in the center of the field ...

Offended at Byshovets for an early replacement?

What do you mean, the very fact of being on the field in such a match was already considered an honor ...

Is there anything left in memory of the debut? Maybe whose T-shirt?

Back then, exchanges were not very common. He brought some souvenirs. Well, memories, of course. I remember getting burned decently on the beach. The local guys almost lost on Copacabana. We barely won 5: 4. While we were running, they stole two bags from us.

Who else was on the beach team?

Yes, many guys, some came up, others left. Almost everyone played, who was in the national team. Valera Esipov, Semak, me, Leha Smertin. We lived nearby, so we went to the shore - to sunbathe, swim, kick a ball.

Who was the victim of the thieves?

Serega Semak seems to be Oleg Karnaukhov.

Didn't they take anything of value?

Most importantly, the passports were returned. And about everything else I don't know - I didn't go into details.

"Shevchenko and I were replaced - the Spaniards scored two goals ..."

Out of a dozen games for Ukraine, which one can you single out?

For example, with Spain in Kiev. 1: 2 “were on fire”, and in the 93rd minute Sanya Gorshkov as he gave from a distance - and hit! Shevchenko and I were replaced in the middle of the second half - here the Spaniards scored two and ... It's a joke, a joke! I remember the friendly match with England. I came on as a substitute, lost 0: 3, but the game itself against the players of the class of Beckham and Lampard is already an invaluable experience. There is no need to even talk about two years in Dynamo Kiev - one of the best periods in my life. Working with people like Lobanovsky, Puzach, Demyanenko, Mikhailichenko, with those performers who were in the team, is worth a lot. At the time, Dynamo was a serious team. Very serious ...

Have you ever regretted the choice made at the turn of the century in favor of the Ukrainian national team?

I don’t regret playing for the national team. Difficulties arose later, of an everyday nature. When I received a Ukrainian passport, I didn't really go into details. I signed the documents and that's it. But it turned out to be not so easy to return Russian citizenship. Now I have a residence permit. In everyday life, this creates certain inconveniences - to get the rights there, to register ... My children are Russian, my wife is Russian, I live here - and my passport is Ukrainian. Well, never mind, God willing, next year I will restore my citizenship. If only a ban on foreign assistants to the head coach was not introduced in the FNL in the near future.

In "Torpedo", as I recall, your legionary status came back to haunt ...

Yes, it was not so much in the passport that it was. There weren't that many legionnaires. The team was eliminated from the Premier League - and everything changed. A new coach has arrived. Yartsev had a different vision of football. Probably, I did not fit his requirements. And, to be honest, he himself did not strive for the first league.

There was no inner discomfort: there, in essence, a legionnaire, and here? In Ukraine by origin, in Russia - by citizenship.

There is discomfort now - for the reasons I have already mentioned. And when I lived in Kiev, I didn’t even feel anything like that. For all the years I have never heard the reproach that I am Russian. The people were very friendly. Many friends remained there. One of them died on August 1, and I could not even come to his funeral ...

    Belkevich?

Yes. Roller ... You see for yourself what is happening now ...

"I played in a great club with a great coach"

You got to Dynamo in the heyday - the late 1990s, Real Madrid, Bayern, the Champions League semi-finals. Nice time?

Unforgettable. Naturally, I was not the main player, but I regularly got into the number 18, came out for substitutions. Played in a great club with a great coach. Discovered the Champions League. Finding yourself in such an atmosphere is probably the dream of any person who plays football.

When the Santiago Bernabeu came on as a substitute, did your legs give way from excitement?

They gave up what to hide. I was in the team for only two months, I didn't even know all the partners by name. And imagine, Valery Vasilyevich trusts me, a beginner, to play for 15 minutes. Against Real Madrid in Madrid! The first match, the score is 1: 1, nothing is clear in the pair yet. I vaguely remember these 15 minutes. I touched the ball four times, in my opinion. Basically, the flank covered.

    Who did you play against?

Panucci was acting from the right for them - that's for sure. In the center - Guti ... Yes, the whole gang was fine. Mijatovic equalized the score. But I remember the second match well. When Shevchenko scored two goals, the whole Kiev was walking ... And in the semifinals, we were unlucky. Bayern, I think, was completely outplayed ...

-… And played two balls from ricochets.

Exactly. Even when the score was 3: 1, Kosovsky hit the crossbar. At 4: 1, they certainly would not have been saved. But, as they say, 22 people play football - and the Germans always win.

Were you in a trance after the return match?

I watched the Munich semi-final a couple of times later - and I can say that Dynamo played even better away than at home. We had four or five chances - Sani Khatskevich, Valik Belkevich, Andryukha Shevchenko. We have surpassed Bayern in the game. The team was great prepared. If not for this crazy Basler goal in the far top corner ...

    "I saw Kiev crying ..."

    Was Shevchenko really unique?

How else to call a football player who has scored so many goals and won so many prizes? A unique person is. One of the best strikers of the late 1990s - early 2000s.

Did Sheva keep the distance with partners?

Nothing like this. Nice, decent guy. I did not play with him for long at Dynamo - only six months, but in the national team we always communicated normally. In general, the situation there was positive. Tolik Tymoshchuk, Sheva ... Andryukha Voronin is generally my root. Everyone was friends and laughed. This is how it should be in a healthy football team.

Did you feel piety before Lobanovsky?

Yes, what piety ... You just see in front of you a person of a completely different scale, caliber, than all those with whom you came in contact before. A completely different aura. Lobanovsky was a powerful psychologist, a great coach. A motivator. His authority was unquestioning.

Valery Vasilyevich could occasionally miss a glass of good brandy. Did the team know about this little weakness of the master?

I will not say anything about this, I do not know. But I was at Lobanovsky's funeral and saw what was happening there. There were all. I saw Kiev crying. Little things like cognac never interested us.

"I was lucky to be in teams"

Could you get together as a team, communicate in an informal setting?

Ha! We could get together ... Not only we could - we did (laughs). The team was friendly. The only legionnaire is Georgian Kakha Kaladze, except for Khatskevich and Belkevich. All the boys after training, after successful games, got together with their wives. The atmosphere is cool. At that time, Kiev had not yet had such a rivalry with Shakhtar. Dynamo won the championship five or six rounds before the end. We were young, cheerful, we felt good together. Moreover, all this was superimposed on high football results and, to be honest, decent earnings are an important factor for the microclimate in the team. The current wage imbalances did not exist - everyone received more or less the same money. Therefore, the relationship was at a decent, friendly level.

Who was the ringleader in the team?

Much came from the leaders - from Vashchuk, Vali Belkevich, Sasha Khatskevich. But we didn’t always meet for 15–20 people. In narrower circles, their ringleaders were. The same Seryozha Konovalov. The baton was passed to each other. Sometimes she even reached me (smiles).

    - Was the Torpedo of the 2000s incomparable in level with Lobanovsky's Dynamo?

Naturally. The class of players and the organization of the process are completely different. But in Torpedo I felt more comfortable in terms of football - because I was the team leader, the captain. They counted on me here. And the atmosphere was no worse than in Kiev. What is there, that I have found many friends here.

    Also a good team?

And in general, I was lucky to have teams. Both in Leninsk-Kuznetsky and in Uralan there was complete order in this regard. Only Luhansk falls out of the general row a little - so I did not stay there, thank God. In the other four teams, everything was fine. Although, maybe it seemed to me so - but someone did not like everything?

Perhaps the reason is innate love of life and optimism?

May be. I am such a person - I try not to notice the negative in my life.

"Maybe my stupidity took a little away from football ..."

Do you remember the famous cry in Luzhniki: "The feed is the best!"

Oh yes, we met this guy more than once after the matches. I always thanked him. Gave Mike. I was a controversial gamer. They discussed me on the websites: someone tried to kick me out of the team, someone, on the contrary, supported me. And this fan was always welcomed at Luzhniki. A good, kind person. May God grant him health.

Did you get the greatest thrill from football there, at Torpedo?

Yes, there were periods when the football that we were striving for, in which I tried to play, was obtained by Torpedo. This is 2000, when we won six victories in a row, and Dimka Vyazmikin became the top scorer. In 2004, at one time they were generally in first place. And what kind of players were - Kostya Zyryanov, Igor Semshov ... Pasha Mamaev just appeared. Sanya Shirko, Beslan Ajinjal, Dima Vyazmikin, Kazakov - this generation is not discussed at all. There were many personalities in the team. Unfortunately, modern Russian football is not rich in them ...

Vyazmikin once said about you: “Seryoga is a pass-man, he saw the field amazingly. But something was not enough for him to fully reveal himself. Football is a tricky thing. " Object to him?

Dima is now in the executive committee, an official - of course, I will agree with everything he says (smiles). But seriously, what's the point of discussing the past in the subjunctive mood? As it happened, it happened. Probably, a lot was given to me by nature. Maybe my stupidity took me a little away from football. But globally, I repeat, I have no regrets.

If there was an opportunity to replay something in life, what would you change, what would you not have done?

There were moments when everyone could add together and catch on to good places - with the same "Torpedo", for example. Much came from the leadership, but somewhere they themselves lacked motivation. Probably, as a captain, one of the team leaders could also influence the situation, unite the guys.

Does it hurt to watch the Torpedo shake in recent years?

It hurts a lot, honestly. Although sometimes it seems to me that this is not the same "Torpedo". They position themselves as the "Torpedo" from East Street?

As far as I understand, yes, although they play in Ramenskoye.

My "Torpedo" ended after Aleshin sold or gave up his shares. Today it is a different club. From our "Torpedo" there, it seems, only the massage therapist Zavgorodniy remained.

Do you keep in touch with your bosom friend Zyryanov?

How can you ... Now Kostya will be in the FNL - he will come to me in Irkutsk. The hints have already gone. We call each other, maybe not so often - each has his own family, business. But in general, in life, Kostya and I are very close. We have a lot to remember. Even meeting infrequently, we value and respect each other. I am very glad that the Zenit management treated him this way - these are the players who should pass on their experience to the youth.

Another former teammate of yours, Shovkovsky, is still in the game. Are you surprised by the sports longevity of the Kiev goalkeeper?

Amazed! Sasha is a great fellow. Still, you need to have a certain level of motivation to force yourself to train at that age. His example is worthy of respect.

    "I am fine"

What did you do after receiving a one-year ban on the profession from the RFU?

    - Different. I watched football as a spectator. Helped my father in business. I enjoyed my family: my second daughter was born in 2009. I played for veterans.

After the disqualification, started from the bottom - from the amateur league?

Yes, Konstantin Dzutsev invited him to Novokuznetsk as an assistant. Metallurg flew out of the FNL that year - and immediately fell into KLF due to financial problems. We managed to return Novokuznetsk to the second division. Last season we finished third in our zone, just one point behind Baikal, but now we are working in Irkutsk ourselves.

What is your current club like?

Irkutsk is a very beautiful city, the capital of Eastern Siberia. "Baikal" entered the FNL. I am pleased with the approach of the management: they want the team not only to be present in the first division, but to play in it, and for more than one year. We have been tasked with creating an efficient team. Time, of course, is running out, but we are trying. Let's see what happens.

Your partner in Kiev Rebrov is a year younger than you, and already Main coach"Dynamo". Surprised by his career takeoff?

Well, who else will coach Dynamo, if not Rebrov? Sergey is a legend for Kiev! Considering what a balanced, thinking person he has always been, he is not at all surprised either by his appointment or by the successes achieved. While in London, we stayed at his house when Rebrov was playing for Tottenham. Nice family, very nice guy. I am sincerely happy for him.

Don't you feel such big coaching ambitions in yourself?

I received a license and even now I could start an independent practice. There were some suggestions. But at this stage, I found it more useful and right for myself to work as an assistant. Dzutsev and I are like-minded people, we understand football in the same way, and FNL is a different level. Hunt to gain experience, improve. I want to be as useful as possible to the head coach and the team.

In other words, are you completely satisfied with your current life?

I am an optimist in life. I have a healthy family, wonderful children, two girls: Anya is six years old, Sasha is 16. A beautiful, intelligent, beloved wife Irina - what else do you need? God grant health to parents. I work in my favorite profession, to which I gave my life. Yes, I'm fine.

However, during the break between the championship circles, a new coach, Gennady Morozov, came to the team, with whom Sergei refused to work.

Kormiltsev came out in the starting lineup, but did not show himself in any way and was replaced already in the 38th minute of the match.
