The Russian goalkeeping school is rightfully considered one of the best to this day. Among the Russian goalkeepers, there are a number of footballers with experience of playing in top European championships. One of them is Krasnodar goalkeeper Stanislav Kritsyuk, who has tried all the power and style of Portuguese football on himself.

    Football childhood

Kritsyuk Stanislav Vasilievich was born on December 1, 1990 in Togliatti. Since the trip to primary school the parents sent the boy to the football section, from where he soon moved to the Yuri Konoplev Football Academy. The goalkeeper's talent was very noticeable to the school mentors, and after completing his studies, in 2008, Stanislav Kritsyuk received an invitation to play for the team of the Second Division - "Academy".

    Coming to adult football

For the first senior team Stanislav played only 4 meetings, in which he conceded 4 goals, after which he changed the club, having signed an agreement with FC Togliatti. At first, the goalkeeper took the place of the second number, most of the games being on the bench. But in the second year, the coaching staff began to trust the player more, who eventually took part in 18 meetings in two seasons, conceding a total of 36 goals, which was not very pleasing to the club's management. Nevertheless, the player's potential and great talent allowed the coaches to count on him, and at times Stanislav Kritsyuk showed incredible reaction and play on the goal line.

    Return to the "Academy"

At the beginning of 2010, due to the merger of FC Togliatti with the Academy, the goalkeeper again found himself in his native club, but, being already a more experienced player, he increasingly got a chance to prove himself. In the first season alone, Stanislav Kritsyuk, a footballer who was regularly invited to the youth and youth teams, took part in 20 meetings of the Togliatti club, conceding 22 goals. Despite the goalkeeper's flamboyant play, in the next two seasons, the club's mentors did not often allow the player to approach the base. Dissatisfied with his position, in 2013 Stanislav decided to change the team.

    Travel to Portugal

The Portuguese Braga decided to sign the talented Russian. The first half of the season Stanislav Kritsyuk played for the second squad of the club, where he tried to prove himself in order to get into the base. During this period, Kritsyuk showed a decent game, having played "zero" three times in 12 meetings, but due to the presence of more experienced masters, he was forced to play the second part of the championship outside the team. At the request of the goalkeeper himself, the club's management agreed to rent a player to another club in the Portuguese championship - "Rio Ave".

However, even there, the goalkeeper almost did not get the game practice - for the entire time in the club from the city of Vila do Condi, he appeared on the field in only three meetings, in each of which he conceded one goal. Nevertheless, having returned to “Braga”, the Russian began to get a little playing time in the championship. On August 17, 2014, the goalkeeper learned good news for himself - Stanislav Kritsyuk will take a place in the goal at the match against the Boavista club. The goalkeeper played his debut match for Braga very confidently, not allowing the opponent to hit the gate. The Russian spent 4 more meetings in a row in the starting lineup, after which he again found himself on the bench. During the season, Kritsyuk entered the field 18 times, having spent most of the games in the Portuguese Cups, and finished the next football year with 8 “breadcrumbs” out of 21 meetings.

He showed a decent result in the 2015/16 season. Having played the entire first half of the championship, the Russian conceded only 13 goals in 18 meetings, and left his goal intact in 9 matches. This result attracted attention from a number of European clubs, and at the end of 2015, the goalkeeper received an offer from the Russian “Krasnodar”, where he went on loan for six months with the right to purchase.

    Game for Krasnodar

At the time of Stanislav's arrival in the Krasnodar club, the team already had two experienced gate guards - Andrey Dikan and Andrey Sinitsyn, but from the very first match Stanislav Kritsyuk won a place at the base. For Krasnodar he played the rest of the season, keeping his goal clean 8 times in 12 meetings, conceding only 6 goals. The satisfied management of the club did not return the player to Portugal and used the right of redemption, signing a contract with the goalkeeper until the summer of 2020.

The Russian also began the 2015/16 season as the club's first goalkeeper. Regularly appearing on the field both in the Russian championship and in the Europa League, by the end of 2016 he was one of the leaders of the Premier League in terms of the number of "clean sheets" - he had 8 of them in 17 rounds. Within the framework of the European Cup series Stanislav played two meetings of the qualification “to zero”, and then in 5 games of the group stage he became one of the creators of the club's entry into the playoffs, conceding only 6 goals, once keeping a zero on the opponent's account. In the winter transfer window of the 2016/17 season, Zenit St. Petersburg was interested in the goalkeeper, but the transfer of the player did not take place.

    National successes

Since 2007, Stanislav Kritsyuk has been called up to the national team more than once. In 2007 and 2008, the Russian took part in 11 meetings of the national team under 17 and 18 years old, showing a confident game. Soon the mentor of the Russian youth team Nikolai Pisarev invited the goalkeeper to participate in the European Championship, and on January 20, 2012, Kritsyuk made his debut - in the match against Estonia Stanislav played all 90 minutes, not allowing his opponent to excel. In total, for the youth team, the goalkeeper took part in only 4 meetings, conceding only one goal.

And in 2016, Kritsyuk was invited to join the main national team. In March, the goalkeeper was called up for a friendly match against the Lithuanian national team, but did not appear on the field, and six months later, on November 10, the goalkeeper made his debut. As part of a friendly match with Qatar, Stanislav replaced Igor Akinfeev, who was injured, on the field, and in the received 33 minutes made a number of spectacular saves, but conceded one goal.

    Personal life

Stanislav Kritsyuk, whose personal life was little covered by the media, and the goalkeeper himself rarely published his photos on the Internet, is completely absorbed in his career.

At the moment, the goalkeeper of the Russian national team and Krasnodar is single, but for a long time he has been dating a girl, Julia, in whose company he likes to spend most of his time.

Success in the Portuguese and Russian elite

For 9 years of his professional career, Stanislav Kritsyuk has played in 5 different clubs. The goalkeeper's statistics show a steady increase in his level every year, and the call to the national team in 2016 is another confirmation of this.

Within the framework of the second division of the Russian championship, where he began his career Russian goalkeeper Stanislav played 61 matches for Academy and Togliatti, in which he conceded 76 goals. The next stage in the goalkeeper's career was the Portuguese championship. As part of the second team, "Braga", he played 12 meetings in the second league of the championship - Ledman League Pro, where he kept the gate locked three times, conceding 14 goals. In the Sagrish League, where the Russian managed to play for both Braga and Rio Ave, he had 30 matches with Stanislav, in exactly half of them he played “zero”, took the ball out of the net 19 times.

Within the framework of the Portuguese Cup and the League Cup, the Russian has 12 meetings with 19 goals and 4 breadcrumbs. For a season and a half in Russian Premier League, where Kritsyuk came in 2015, while there are only 28 matches, in 16 of which the opponent was unable to print the goal of Krasnodar, and only 19 times breaking through the goalkeeper, and in the Russian Cup, Kritsyuk appeared only twice, conceding three goals. In Stanislav's main competition at the moment - the Europa League, he has only 7 meetings with 6 goals and three zero matches. In total, at this stage, the goalkeeper's statistics include 152 matches, in which he conceded 149 goals, and 47 “clean sheets”. For the main national team of Russia, Kritsyuk has only one match and one conceded goal.

Not so long ago, the coaching staff of the Russian national football team announced a list of players called up for the next two friendly matches with Lithuania and France. The goalkeeper's position was the most controversial: firstly, four goalkeepers were called up for these two matches (usually no more than three), and secondly, there were two newcomers among them. If the naturalized Brazilian Guilherme is familiar to the majority of domestic football fans from his performances for Moscow Lokomotiv, then many hear the name of the second debutant for the first time. This is Stanislav Kritsyuk. The footballer, rented by Krasnodar from the Portuguese Braga, is happy to return to his homeland and, judging by his first matches in the Premier League, intends to impose serious competition on the first number of the national team.

    The beginning of Kritsyuk's career

Stanislav Vasilievich Kritsyuk was born on December 1, 1990 in the city of Togliatti. He began to take his first steps in football at the Football Academy. Yu Konopleva, other famous graduates of which were Artur Yusupov, Roman Zobnin and others. Stanislav's debut in professional football took place in 2008, as part of the "Academy" (Dimitrovgrad), playing at that time in the second division (in terms of rank, this is the third division in Russian football).

The next five years Stanislav Kritsyuk spent in various Togliatti teams that did not rise above the second division.

In 2013, a turning point for Stanislav's career took place in Portuguese football club"Braga" (from the city of the same name). In this he was helped by the D-Sports agency, with which Kritsyuk collaborated. After a successful viewing, the footballer signed a contract with the Portuguese team.

Performance in Portugal and return to Russia

Kritsyuk did not make his way to the main line-up of Braga right away. He played for the second team of Braga for the first half of the 2013-2014 season, and then was sent on loan to Rio Ave. For the club from the city of Vila do Condi, who played at that time in the top Portuguese league, Stanislav played only one match.

That summer Stanislav Kritsyuk returned to Braga and in August 2014 he finally made his debut for the main squad. Kritsyuk did not become a solid first number that season, but he regularly played in the Portuguese Cup. In one sixteenth of the Braga Cup finals, with the participation of Kritsyuk, Benfica from Lisbon, one of the leaders of Portuguese football, passed. Subsequently, the team reached the final, where in the penalty shootout they lost to another Lisbon team - Sporting.

In the 2015-2016 season, Kritsyuk took over as the main goalkeeper of Braga, but in January 1916 he was loaned to the Russian club Krasnodar. The lease terms provide for a buyout option.

    Personal life and hobbies

In Portugal, Kritsyuk was supported by his girlfriend, who moved to him from Tolyatti.

Stanislav is fond of martial arts. Before starting to play football, Kritsyuk went to boxing for some time. At the age of 19, he resumed his boxing training and since then devotes a lot of free time to them.

By his own admission, Kritsyuk prefers home rest with his beloved to travel.

The opinion of football experts about Kritsyuk

A well-known footballer in the past, and now the coach of Krasnodar, Andrei Tikhonov, is sure that Stanislav Kritsyuk is fully consistent with the level of the Russian national team. In his opinion, Stanislav benefited from a trip to Portugal, where he managed to become one of the best goalkeepers in the league: after playing in Europe, the footballer developed the mentality of a true professional. Tikhonov believes that Kritsyuk's lack of experience in playing for Russian big clubs- no problem.

According to the senior coach of the youth national team of Russia, in training, Kritsyuk could hit several penalties in a row. Pisarev notes Stanislav's ability to play on the line.
