Today, the profession of a personal trainer has become very popular in sports. Famous athletes previously trained under the supervision of a personal trainer, but today they are often hired by amateurs. If this is still very rare for our state, then in the United States this practice is very common.

According to statistics, people who work with a personal trainer save the state a very decent amount on healthcare. After all, bodybuilding will not only make your figure more attractive, but also improve your health. Today we will tell you about the top 5 best trainers in bodybuilding.

    Trainer #1: David Sandler

This man is the holder of several scientific degrees in the field of sports and it is no coincidence that he was in first place on our list. Sandler founded an innovative company that provides personal training for athletes of all skill levels, including amateurs.

David is sure that the presence of a personal mentor for an athlete does not mean that the athlete does not have to study special methodological literature to improve sports literacy. Moreover, your return on training will increase in direct proportion to the knowledge you have.

Here are a few recommendations from Sandler for all athletes. To ensure the necessary energy level for effective bodybuilding, you must first follow a daily routine. The body needs sufficient time for rest, sleep and proper nutrition. This is the only way to achieve your goals.

David also notes that amateurs can only progress through periodization of training. Professional training schemes and methods are not suitable for them. Perform basic exercises in a low-repetition mode, increasing strength indicators. Then start using high rep pumps and then go back to strength training. Each of these two cycles should last between two and three weeks.

    Coach #2: Gunar Peterson

Gunar has been coaching for more than two decades. This man preaches functional training and for this reason he is often invited by Hollywood stars.

According to Gunar, despite the fact that most visitors go to the gym to gain weight, this should not be their only goal. This is why he believes that functional training is more suitable for most people. It is important that bodybuilding helps you live, and not interfere with it.

    Trainer #3: Mac Chilstone

He is one of the most respected strength trainers in the United States. Throughout his career, he has worked with a large number of tennis players, hockey players and NBA stars. Today he works for one of the leading football clubs (American football), the New York Yankees.

Mack suggests that athletes who decide to become professionals take a genome test. Today this service is not as expensive as it was a few years ago. This will allow you to accurately determine the sport where you can achieve maximum results. It is also important to undergo regular medical examinations so as not to harm your health.

If you are involved in bodybuilding at an amateur level and do not plan to participate in tournaments, then knowing your genome will also be very useful to you. It is quite possible that classical training methods will not be effective for you and you will have to find your own individual method.

    Coach #4: Juan Carlos Santana

Santana founded a research institute in Florida and published quite a few books and videos on strength training. Santana considers chains and shock absorbers to be one of the most effective tools for training in bodybuilding. With their help you can progress much faster.

To gain a large amount of muscle mass, according to Santana, athletes should forget about the existence of exercise machines. In this case, the main attention should be paid to working with dumbbells. Juan Carlos likes to say that bodybuilding is a great way to gain muscle, but huge muscles do not mean longevity and health. In addition to bodybuilding, you should do yoga, dancing, etc.

    Coach #5: Chris Lockwood

Chris completed his PhD in Exercise Science and has conducted a large amount of research. Chris does not encourage the use of AAS in sports and, especially at the amateur level. In his opinion, even amateurs should take part in tournaments. This can significantly increase motivation and speed up progress. At first, only those close to you will applaud you, but the purpose of speaking is to accelerate your progress.

Watch Chris Lockwood's talk about protein in this story:

Almost every gym goer has at one time or another wondered about personal trainers (workouts). And in most cases, people reason as follows: not only do you have to pay a shit ton of money to visit the gym, so, MORE EXTRAS give a damn about the instructor? Well, why do you need it if you can study on your own!? This is monstrously not profitable for the money, and in general, what is the use of them!?

    I’d rather do it myself.

Do you think such people have the correct worldview? After all, you are most likely one of them)). I will try to answer this question from my point of view (practice), simultaneously telling you about what kind of “personal trainers” these are, “what is the essence of their work,” “are they needed, or are they really just a waste money”, “what are the advantages / disadvantages of working with them”, “what is the difference between regular trainer and personal, which of them is better”, “if they are needed, then what to focus on when choosing an instructor, so that later you don’t regret it” and much more.

I believe that everyone understands that at the initial stage of training in the gym, a ton of problems arise... it is difficult to independently understand the whole variety of strength exercises, create a training program, calculate the load, etc.<= большинство даж не понимает о чем идёт речь. Человек (новичок) приходит в зал и HE DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING AT ALL!

    What's a poor thing to do? =)

Well, of course, you CAN’T do without the help of a TRAINER. However, there is a GENERAL TRAINER who does not charge money for his services (help), he is on the fitness club’s payroll, he will help you for free in any matter. And there are personal trainers (guys who demand money for their services, and a lot of money).

You may ask, what kind of trainer (general or personal) should I contact? Which is better?

I'll say this: it depends primarily on your financial condition (if there are no problems with finances-romances, then definitely take, of course, a personal trainer, because he is much better. He will stand next to you, without leaving anywhere at all, correct, tell, show, he will create a training + nutrition program for you, etc., he is better).

However, if there is NO finance or it’s a pity (this is an option for the majority), then, of course, you need to turn to a regular “GENERAL” trainer. He will also help you: he will give you a training program (which he probably gives to everyone), teach you how to do exercises (he will show you how to do this or that exercise, watch how you do it, correct it a little and leave and that’s it), in principle, he will also answer all your questions, however, he will not “guide” you.

P.s. By the way, many guys and girls don’t even turn to a general coach..., as a result, they end up pulling some kind of bullshit on their own, becoming stars of YouTube and the entire Internet:

Ahaha, therefore, there is no need for this “I can do everything myself”, don’t be afraid, go to the trainer, he will help, he won’t bite)) but then you will be doing business, and not all sorts of nonsense. Everyone starts from scratch, when I arrived, I also immediately turned to the coach, I was lucky that he turned out to be very smart. I am still consulting with him.. so don’t be shy!

By the way: I can also act as a personal online trainer :), you can read more about this<= переходите по ссылке. Кроме этого, вы также вы можете приобрести и ознакомиться с моими книгами:

Personal trainer bodybuilding vsGENERAL COACH (CLASSIFICATION)

A personal bodybuilding and fitness trainer devotes all his time only to you, he does not leave your side for a second during training. The general one is not near you, he showed you how to do this or that exercise and left, that is, he distributes his time among several people, as in group classes.

A personal trainer creates a training program designed specifically for you, taking into account your wishes, health and physical capabilities. He constantly “guides” you along it, makes adjustments, analyzes, etc.

And the general one will most likely give you the training program that he gives to everyone. Although not always (not all). Many trainers take into account your wishes, health and physical capabilities... but they will not “guide you”, they don’t care, they wrote - explained, showed what to do (at best) - and forgot.

A personal trainer MUST draw up a nutrition program (diet of all things) designed specifically for you, taking into account your taste preferences (wishes), your health, lifestyle, etc. He will constantly “guide you” along it, make appropriate adjustments if necessary, give recommendations on what and how to change, etc.

But the general public most often does not do this (few people know that nutrition plays a key role, the BASIC one, I would say. All beginners think that training gives all the results, so the trainer only helps in the gym, with exercises, etc. , but he doesn’t want to bother with food) and in general, why should he bother if he’s not asked to? The salary is paid, and that’s it. That is, he can create a nutrition program only if he is directly asked to do so. But, again, he will not “guide” you, make adjustments, etc., he will tell or write and that’s it, do what you want.

And finally, I’ll tell you about MOTIVATION from a personal and general trainer. What does motivation have to do with it, you ask. Now I’ll explain (it only recently came to light, and that was from the words of a friend). Now, look, when you chose a personal trainer, you paid him a lot of money (well, the toad sitting inside is pressing, you need to work it off), this is, firstly, and secondly, the trainer himself will not let you skimp/freeload. Will drive hard.

Well, the general trainer doesn’t do that kind of thing at all. He doesn’t stand with you the entire training session, doesn’t guide you, doesn’t correct you, etc., you’re on your own.

Well, that's all. I don’t know any more (or maybe I forgot/missed something) of the benefits. Well, I described the main thing anyway. The choice is yours.

How to choose the right personal trainer?

With the general everything is clear, what it is is what it is. There’s nothing you can do there)), except maybe change the hall, but there’s no guarantee that it won’t be the same “miracle in feathers” there either. But you need to (need) choose a personal trainer.

    So how do you choose?

When you choose a personal trainer, in addition to the cost of his services (usually, first of all, they ask/find out/look at it), pay attention to the following components:

    Practical experience as a trainer.

Please note: not on his training experience, but on his WORKING EXPERIENCE AS A COACH! It may be that he has been training for 20 years, but has been teaching as a coach for only a year... The more experience you have as a coach, the better for you.

Ask if this coach has any sports titles/ranks, must be availability of higher sports education. Titles and titles are like that (bold plus), but be sure to find out about sports education.

Pay attention to its appearance. The trainer's physique must correspond to the specifics of his profession - be muscular, trained, well-built, otherwise some kind of drischarka will mentor you)).

Psychological compatibility. You will have to spend some part of your time with this person, and the more pleasant your communication is, the faster you will achieve positive results. So talk to him for some time before taking paid consultations (trainings). Suddenly, when communicating, you don’t like him, you realize that this is not the person you expected.

He must be able to clearly and intelligibly explain his requirements: why this or that exercise is needed, why this training/nutrition program, etc. what will you personally get from completing them, etc., don’t mumble something, but tell/show everything clearly (like a professional), etc.

If he cannot do this, he cannot even logically explain the chosen diet, training program, exercises, etc., he speaks of blindly copying the training of someone else, and not of a scientific approach specifically to your characteristics and wishes.

The number of training sessions conducted by him (the coach) during the day should not exceed five (5). We will definitely clarify this as well. If there are more of them, then the time and attention that is given to an individual client decreases. Well, imagine, you come to training at 20.00 in the evening, and this trainer already had 8 personal trainers with other clients. He’s already standing on his feet, tired from all his work, he’ll do a haphazard workout with you, without motivation, proper attention, etc. And so, for example, if he had 2-3 clients, he is “fresh”, cheerful, he drives you hard, motivates you, pays a lot of attention, in general, everything is as it should be.

The personal trainer must focus only on you during the workout. And some donkeys are distracted by phone calls and conversations... well, this shouldn’t happen. You pay him - and he’s standing somewhere there (or nearby), not watching you, but fucking with someone... In general, if during training you have the feeling that the coach’s thoughts are somewhere far from you and places of training - this is a sign that he conducts classes only for the sake of earning money (money), and is not interested in your success.
