Do not listen to anyone if your heart tells you that what you are doing is right, then do it!

    - Anton, hello! A year has passed since our last meeting and, apparently, the number of medals has increased!

    Increased!

    - How much?

    - So many that there are not enough fingers on your hand?

I remember that on Arnold took third place, won Battle on the beach- first place, New york pro- third place, Olympia- 9th place. The last three tournaments I have played in are one in Arizona and two in a row in Florida, I won them all. Probably, for many it will seem difficult, but it did not give me any trouble!

    - Are you satisfied with the result?

I am usually satisfied with the result regardless of the outcome of my performances, for me the most important thing is to show best shape... So when I go on stage, I know I did my best.

    - Preparing for the competition?

I usually do not prepare for a competition in advance as I am always in pre-competition form. I'm not one of those people who bloat out of season, and then “die” before going on stage. I always stay in good shape and strive to improve my form without gaining excess fat, so a few weeks are enough for me to prepare for the competition. I slightly increase the duration of cardio and clean up my diet, this is my entire preparation.

    - As for "cleaning up my diet", what do you mean?

I don't have an off-season period. I eat the same all year round - when I'm preparing for a tournament and when I'm not. I just need a little more carbs to prepare for the tournament. I like sweet potatoes (sweet potatoes), rice, oatmeal. I just mix sweet potatoes with dry oatmeal, eat every hour and watch my body change. And I remove the water. This is the most important thing for me.

    - Very good! But what about the bill prepared by Anna (Starodubtseva)?

Anya cooks very well not only cupcakes, but also pancakes! And without flour. Everything is absolutely healthy there! Nuts, apples. They are tasty and healthy, I can! (laughs)

    - Who is your main rival?

I respect everyone in this sport. But the main rival for me is me. All I can do is improve myself and my performance. Therefore, I always work on myself and do not compare myself with other rivals.

    - That is, you do not evaluate your opponents at all?

I don’t know how to evaluate them. When I go to a tournament, I always try to look better than the last time. I do not evaluate my opponents, because I used to think, standing on the stage next to them, that I was not worthy to stand there, but I won several tournaments, became the absolute champion three times. After that he stopped thinking like that and stopped looking at his rivals. I just go and try to defeat the past me. If you look at someone else and say “I want to be like him,” nothing will ever work out.

    - At the age of 14, you moved to America. What are your memories of Belarus?

I had a wonderful childhood. We lived in a wonderful area where everyone knew each other. My father was a popular artist, and many people in our city could see his work. When we decided to get a dog, its owner did not take money from us, but only asked for one of my father's paintings in return. When I was a child, my father, who has a rich sports past (formerly a gymnast), enrolled me in all kinds of sports sections and circles: swimming, gymnastics, sambo. I have not excelled in any of these sports, however, I have gained an athletic figure and endurance. From an early age my father taught me how to do crunches correctly, and by the age of 9, my abdominal muscles were quite well developed and visible. Since then, I have been fascinated by the process of improving my body, I really wanted to achieve the same round and strong biceps as my father. I believe that the fact that my childhood was spent in Belarus taught me a lot and helped me appreciate everything that I have in America much more.

    - And what about your first impressions of meeting America? Was the adaptation difficult?

My relatives took very good care of me when we first moved to America. My family tried to provide me with everything I needed so that I did not need anything, although they could not afford much. When we moved here it was in the middle school year so I had to wait until next year to go to an American school. My sister got to school before me, and I was very jealous of her, because all I did all day was sit at home and watch cartoons, while she began to receive an education. I was an excellent student in Belarus, and therefore, when we moved to America, I wanted to continue to study, develop and get acquainted with American culture. The only benefit from the cartoons was that I learned English by reading the subtitles and repeating everything that was said on the TV. I absorbed my tongue like a sponge, and by the time I had to go to school, I was fluent in English. I was one of the best students in the school, with many medals and merit in every subject. I quickly made new friends, most of whom were Russian, as there is a large Russian community in Brooklyn.

    - How did you get into Boss Models? Was the work interesting? Does the practice of performing at fashion shows somehow help when performing at competitions?

I worked at the Armani Exchange clothing store on 5th Avenue, managers from various modeling agencies constantly approached me with job offers, I always refused and all the time told all these stories to my friend Michelle. She sent my photos to Boss, and they told her the next day that they would like to see me. I was very shy and did not want to go there alone, she literally dragged me by force. On the same day, I signed a contract with the Boss agency for three years. I think working in an agency, constant photography and work on the podium helped me in my performances in competitions, from the first tournament I felt very confident on stage.

    - Have there been moments in your career when you wanted to quit everything and do something else? Or did everything go like clockwork?

There were times when I got injured and thoughts appeared in my head how long I can still do this. Now I feel at the peak of my physical condition. However, like other people, I have good days and bad days. Due to the fact that I take very few days off, physically and mentally I get very tired every day, sometimes it comes to the point that training turns into a little torture.

    - How often do you train?

When I start preparing, I exercise six days a week (once in the morning and once in the evening), one day off a week. When I prepare for a performance, I train almost every day, I work for the result, every day is an opportunity to become better than yesterday. When I am in the so-called off-season, I train 4-5 days a week.

    - Nutrition?

Since I started performing, my eating habits have changed a lot. I only eat wholesome food, eat regularly (it is very important for me not to skip meals) throughout the year, except for a few months at the end of each year, when we start the holiday season. I really love pancakes, and this is perhaps my main delicacy during the holidays.

    - How are you?

Fine! In Russia, I don't manage to train on time and eat right. In America, much more clubs and there is no problem to take the food you want. Health food stores around every corner. Even if there is no time to go to the store, food will be delivered to you wherever you want - both to the hotel and directly to the tournament.

    - Many of our athletes, having visited international championships, say that it is relatively easier to compete in them than in Russia.

I don't know, but my last name comes first, and I always have to go out first. And this means that you need to keep in shape for quite a long time: to breathe correctly, to hold the press is much more difficult than at the same time in the gym.

    - Where was it easier to work - in the fashion industry or in bodybuilding?

When you perform on stage, everything happens in real time, there are no breaks, nothing can be re-filmed or corrected, you have only one chance to show yourself in the most favorable light in front of the judges. There is no specially installed light, no stylists, no photoshop. Therefore, I would say that the bodybuilding industry is more real, nothing is hidden behind the camera lens, unlike the fashion industry. All flaws and inaccuracies of the figure are visible under professional lighting on the stage. I like to perform precisely because everything is real there, you can see all the shortcomings and inaccuracies of your body and determine the parts of the body that require further work to improve the results.

    - How is Anton's weekday built now? During the competition period and outside the competition period?

I have many clients whom I have been coaching for several years now, coaching is my main activity. I also have a large number of castings and photo shoots - almost every week. I am constantly busy, constantly on the run, I wish there were more than 24 hours in a day so that I could spend more time with Anya.

    - Judging by the site skreened.com/maiseu, where designs by Anton Antipov are written on the page, do you also draw?

I used to draw a lot, my father is a professional artist, I inherited this from him. When I was in school, I was fond of graffiti, painted on walls and fences. ( Laughs) Now I have my little album, which I open when inspiration strikes me. I turn on classical rock and shut out of this world for several hours, completely immersed in art. Now I don’t remember the last time I picked up a pencil, except perhaps to sign my photograph. ( Laughs)

    - You don't have time to go to the store, but where do you find it for media projects? You are very popular on social networks!

Many people ask me why I show so few videos. I like to train and do not really like to tell, I like to do! I have such a system - the person who films my workouts does not "touch" me. I just put on my headphones and train, and he takes off. So it suits me, but when I have to say something every two minutes, I don't like it. I wouldn't have the form I have if I was constantly thinking about YouTube, Facebook or Instagram. The main thing for me is training. And if there is time, then I will tell you something about training or about exercises. Training is the most important thing. This is my hour or two. And social networks are when I have five minutes to relax and I post something.

    - The number of your fans is off the charts. Are they getting it?

I think yes! ( Laughs) Everyone wants attention, and many do not understand that I simply do not have time at all. Sometimes they are offended that I do not answer. But I receive so many messages every day that I physically cannot even view everything, and not even answer! I try to read everything and answer as much as possible, but it does not always work out. I am pleased to read what they write, they wish for something good. I receive and read everything, but I cannot answer everyone.

    - You can often be seen on the pages of various magazines. Is this a separate lesson?

No. Everything is connected with one thing - training. When I go to a tournament, I try to plan everything so that everything can be done in one go. After the tournaments in California, there was a cover shoot Iron man, then there was Spain, then Vegas, Arizona. I love to work, to invest completely in what I love. I don't even want to stop. Everything goes together - training, shooting. I think I will, of course, rest in a couple of years. But so far there is no time for rest. Need to work!

    - You have moved from New York City to Fort Lauderdale.

Yes, I think to open my own sports club there somehow, we will invite everyone. Come! But this is still an idea - Anya to open a restaurant, and a sports club for me. ( Laughs)

    - What is the reason for the move?

New York is already too noisy for us, we want a family, children. Fort Lauderdale has a milder climate and fewer people on the streets and less noise. ( Laughs) We really like it there.

    - Sports plans?

I rest until May. In May I will perform at the Men’s Physique Pro tournament (I think it will be Switzerland), then I will perform in New York. Maybe somewhere else. I like to choose tournaments when they are very close to each other. I will perform for a month or two, then I will rest for a couple of months and prepare for Olympia.

    - What is the most difficult thing for you while preparing for the championships?

Find time to spend with Anya. At my pace of life, it’s hard. She is offended. It's good that she understands me and approves of everything I do. I wish I had more time in the day to do what I want!

    - When you leave, with whom do you leave your “bandit”?

A cat? With parents. They play with it, feed it with protein, all sorts of proteins. ( Laughs)

    - Wishes to your admirers in Russia?

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for following my progress. I'm just a simple guy who loves to train, and it so happens that I travel to different countries and talk about what I do. So thanks a lot! I am very pleased when people come up, congratulate, say that they are learning from me. Most importantly, believe in yourself! A lot of people told me that nothing would work out for me, that I would never become a professional, I would never get to Olympia (I will perform there for the fourth time). Do not listen to anyone, and if your heart tells you that what you are doing is right, then do it! Hello everyone! I love everyone, thank you very much! Set a goal for yourself and do something every day that will bring you closer to your goal!

Never give up if you train seriously, give your best, you will definitely achieve success. When I first started training, many people came up to me and tried to impose their coaching services, many said that I would not be able to perform successfully without outside help. In my first national tournament, I finished second and missed the opportunity to get a pro card (since it was only given for the first places). This may not sound new, but always think about the fact that today there is an opportunity to become better than yesterday. Always try to achieve not only your goals, but also go further; your body will try to surrender much earlier than your mind. When the body says no, just keep working hard and you will succeed!

    - What would you like to wish yourself?

Work in silence, let success say everything for me.

The boy tried himself in athletics, swimming, gymnastics, sambo, but did not strive for Olympic records. He treated training as an elective in physical education and attended as needed.

In 1997, when the teenager turned 14, the family emigrated to the USA... There Anton enrolled in a model school. Over time, the brand Boss Models offered the young man mutually beneficial cooperation for 3 years. So his photos first appeared in advertising brochures and magazines. To look spectacular, it was required to build up mass and polish the relief, and the guy went to the hall... Then he could not imagine that the forced power training become a hobby and define a career.

After the end of the contract, he worked for Wilhelmina... Filmed for catalogs of lingerie, represented men's collections at fashion shows. Posing in front of the cameras in photosets taught the guy not to give in to the cameras and show off outstanding parts profitably.

    Debut and new opportunities

In a short time, Anton managed to "blind" an athletic figure. Muscularity gave the image of masculinity, and the brutal macho only had time to sign contracts. He advertised the products of top brands as Nike, Men’s Fitness, Total Abs and Exercise for Men.

In 2011, Antipov heard about "Men’s Physique"... This spurred me to exercise more and finally switch to the correct diet. The roommates soon noticed the results.
