Football fans with experience remember Dmitry Kramarenko for his performances for Alania, Dynamo and CSKA. The idea to do an interview with him was offered to us by Valery Minko, with whom Dmitry Sergeevich is currently working at the Youth Sports School of PFC CSKA. The new "Conversation with an Army Man" will take you two decades back and open new pages for you Russian football nineties and early zero.

    CSKA INSTEAD OF ATLETICO

    - Dmitry Sergeevich, can you call yourself an army player?

    - In a sense, yes. If we go back to 2002-2003, I played for CSKA at the invitation of Valery Georgievich Gazzaev. It so happened that I left Dynamo and tried myself in the second team of Atletico Madrid, where I spent about a month.

    - Why didn't you become a Madridista in the end and moved to CSKA?

    - I have almost signed a contract with the Spaniards. My father called me, whom Valery Georgievich contacted, asking him how I was doing, whether I was ready to go to CSKA. At that time, there was only one goalkeeper in the red-blue team - Veniamin Mandrykin. Considering that I had previously worked with Gazzaev for a long time, I did not hesitate and agreed to sign a contract with the army team. They took me as the second number.

    - Do you remember those first moments in CSKA?

    - I came to Peschanka, practiced, and the next day I played for a double.

    - What did you remember about the month in the second team of Ateltico?

    - The first thing that caught my eye was that all trainings were conducted exclusively with the ball, everything was fast. The field footballers had a significant amount of playing drills.

Why do I remember this? I just compare it with what Valery Georgievich had in Alania, Dynamo, and CSKA.

    - Did you dive into the pool for a while?

    - Necessarily! This was practiced during the so-called New Year's Eve recovery camp, although it cannot be called that, because we got up early in the morning, we had to go through all the tests. All this took place in the Oak Grove in Zheleznovodsk.

    - What else, besides classes in the pool, did you load your body?

    - We put special cuffs on our arms, legs and belt. With them we had to run uphill along the serpentine for about forty minutes. After that we played tennisball. In the evening, everything was repeated, but without the cuffs.

Rolan Gusev wore a sweater under a bologna jacket - thus trying to show that he had something under his jacket. But they quickly saw through him and then laughed for a long time.

    - Vyacheslav Viktorovich Chanov said that he had disputes with Gazzaev regarding the loads that were given to the goalkeepers.

    - I have not seen this, but I will say that Vyacheslav Viktorovich is a person who gave me a lot. If I consider my father my first coach (Sergei Kramarenko - ed.), Then Chanov is the second most important mentor. I show the exercises that he gave me to my players, the young goalkeepers of the Youth Sports School PFC CSKA.

    - You, like Vyacheslav Viktorovich, are the heir to your father in terms of position on the field. The prize for the best goalkeeper of Azerbaijan is named after him, and he holds the record among all Azerbaijani footballers in terms of the number of matches played in major league championship of the USSR.

    - He is also recognized as the best goalkeeper of Azerbaijan in the 20th century. He was a strong and significant figure throughout the country. From the age of fifteen he was called up to the youth and Olympic teams, at nineteen he became the Master of Sports of the Soviet Union. It happened after the championship bronze with Neftchi.

We in the family circle often remember him. Mom said that my father was so devoted to his native Baku that he did not accept offers from Kiev and Moscow Dynamo. By the way, Lev Ivanovich himself was a supporter of his father becoming a Dynamo player, but it did not work out.

    - What worldly wisdom did your father convey to you?

    - Eh, if I followed all his advice, then my career could have developed in a completely different way. Somewhere I turned out to be wrong, somewhere chance intervened. My sister and I were raised mainly by my mother. I have a much softer character than my father had. He could not lose, even playing chess or checkers. He had to be the first everywhere.

    NOSTALGIA

    - Your transition from youth football to adult football fell on the period of the collapse of the Soviet Union. You had to decide: Russia or Azerbaijan.

    - What happened came as a shock to many. At that time, I played for the youth teams of the USSR. I managed to work with real personalities.

I had already played for Dynamo Moscow when the question of choosing sports citizenship arose. My father and I decided that it would be more correct if I decide to play for Azerbaijan. I repeat, my father loved Baku very much, and I consider myself a Bakuvian too.

    - Do you remember your debut in the Russian Championship?

    - Dynamo and I came from the next tournament, in the championship we had a match with Spartak. Andrei Smetanin and Valery Kleimenov played for the blue and white at that time. Nikolai Pavlovich Gontar came up to me and asked: "Dim, are you ready?" I replied that I was ready. The Red and White were then a crazy team: Tsymbalar, Cherchesov, Ledyakhov, Onopko, Pyatnitsky, Karpin. A solid company, but played well - 1: 1. Well, how lucky? Shortly before the end of the meeting, I was replaced due to injury. Meniscus.

    - What turned out to be the most difficult at that time?

    - When I moved to Moscow, I came into contact with a lot of temptations. White stone cannot be compared with Baku. It took willpower. At first, I really missed my parents.

    - If we compare the then and today's levels of club football, in whose favor will it be?

    - At that time we had many distinctive teams. Take Dynamo, where I played: Igor Simutenkov, Yura Tishkov, Serega Timofeev, Omari Tetradze, Bakhva Tedeev, Andrey Kobelev, Andrey Chernyshev. Names that played a role in our football.

Let's remember Torpedo, Alania of 1995, Rotor with Niedergaus, Veretennikov and Esipov. Whatever team you take, there were interesting, technical guys everywhere.

    - We went abroad not one by one, but in whole parties.

    - By the way, Andrey Kobelev and Veli Kasumov left Dynamo for Betis.

    - Times.

    - Yes, but now everything is different. Stunning salaries and abnormal transfer amounts, legionnaires. And not to say that in terms of level we were worse than those who are playing now. For example, we beat Torino in Italy in 92nd. CSKA defeated Barcelona on the road.

    - Do you treat legionnaires badly?

    - In no case. Legionnaires are a worldwide practice that cannot be avoided. In the Catalan “Barcelona” the leading player is Argentinean Messi, in the Spanish “Real” - the Portuguese Ronaldo, in the French PSG - the Brazilian Neymar. There are many more to enumerate.

The question is about the level of those foreigners who come. If there are foreigners like Wagner Love or the Hulk, please. But there are those who are on the same level with ours or even weaker. Here I am against the second option.

    - A pleasant reminder of the past, which made people of the older generation nostalgic, was the Commonwealth Cup, which, by the way, you won with Khazar.

    - In this regard, I want to tell a real story, which eventually became an anecdote.

    - We will listen with pleasure.

    - The first drawing of the Commonwealth Cup. "Neftchi", which my dad coached then, got into the same group with "Spartak". I have already played for Dynamo. The match between Spartak and Neftchi was assigned to the CSKA arena.

The day before that meeting, I came to my father and told him: “You understand that they are stronger. You won't do anything. Moreover, in the arena. " Of course, the red-and-white defeated the father's charges in one wicket - 8: 0.

After the tournament, he came to Baku for a report, where one “great” coach told him that he had to close and play from defense. Dad immediately reacted and answered without rudeness and rudeness, but with a sense of humor: "Yes, it was necessary to close in the locker room, then they would have lost not 8: 0, but 3: 0."

    - Over time, the clubs began to bring takes and the level of the tournament dropped.

    - At first it was interesting. I and Alania had a chance to participate in this cup. Good teams came: Dynamo Kiev and Tbilisi, Pakhtakor Tashkent, Sheriff Tiraspol.

Such a tournament is needed. Perhaps in a different format. The USSR Championship was incomparable. I am sure that today the matches of the leading clubs of the countries of the former USSR could collect full stadiums.

    - Valery Georgievich Gazzaev nurtured the idea of a Russian-Ukrainian championship.

    - Unfortunately, he did not manage to do it. And apparently it will not succeed for obvious reasons. It was a cool idea.

By the way, remember how many fans in Israel attended the Channel One Cup matches.

    FOOTBALL AZERBAIJAN

    - Can the leading clubs of Azerbaijan be compared with the Russian ones?

    - Look, “Garabagh” is performing with dignity in the “death” group in the Champions League, it managed to score two points. Two draws with Atlético speak volumes. I know their head coach Gurban Gurbanov quite well. He has assembled a good team of local guys of a decent level and quality legionnaires. They try to play a short pass, they actively put pressure on defense.

In recent years, Neftchi has experienced a recession related to finances, a change in club management. I think after a while they will return to their previous level.

Good conditions have been created in Gabala, where I worked with Yuri Semin. One person from the government, who loves football, created one of the best academies in the entire post-Soviet space there.

    - Is this academy better than the Russian ones?

    - And you will compare. The Gabala Academy has 6-7 identical, mirror-like fields good quality... They are being followed by the English specialist Philip. He is a fan of what he does. Excellent quality lawns.

Teams of all ages are provided with the same equipment. Luxurious conditions.

    - You have identified three clubs, and in total there are eight in the championship.

    - This is problem. I would like to have at least sixteen teams in the Major League. There are financial problems and more.

    - With the clubs sorted out - there is development. What's going on with the Azerbaijani national team?

    - The progress of the clubs was made possible by the emergence of competition between the clubs. And also high-quality legionnaires began to arrive.

The situation with the national team is somewhat different. Vogts, Prosinechki, Carlos were invited to the national team, but the miracle did not happen. Now the head coach of the national team has become the coach of "Karabakh" Gurban Gurbanov - this, in my opinion, is the right decision. The chosen path was taken in the USSR, when Valery Lobanovsky was the coach of the national team, and the backbone was the players of Dynamo Kiev. In the conditions of small Azerbaijan, the combination looks quite logical.

By the way, I spoke about this five or six years ago, but no one listened to me. Well, better late than never.

    PSYCHOLOGY AND LOVE

    - You remembered foreign coaches, under whom a large number of naturalized legionnaires played for Azerbaijan.

    - For the national team, whatever it may be, people connected with this country should play. I can agree with the naturalization of Almeida, who has lived in Azerbaijan for a long time and is a good player.

    - Where do you think all these processes come from?

    - From the development of youth football, from the level of children's coaches. The more talented children there are, the less questions of naturalization will arise for anyone.

There would be more people like Zhamaletdinov, Chalov, Golovin, Kuchaev. What does it mean that they broke into the base? The fact that they worked with them correctly at school and double.

    - Now you praise your place of work.

    - The point is different. When I came to CSKA school five months ago, I met those with whom or against whom I played. Zhenya Varlamov, Denis Pervushin, Valera Minko, Oleg Kornaukhov are football people who pass on all their experience to the boys. Sasha Grishin has been successfully working in a double for so many years. For this, I must say thanks to Evgeny Lennorovich Giner, who is attentive to the fact that it is army men who work at the academy.

    - But a lot depends not only on the coaches, but also on the guys themselves?

    - From their hard work. Now I have a successor, my daughter, Lala Kramarenko, who plays for the Russian national rhythmic gymnastics team, and as our famous coach Irina Aleksandrovna Vinner likes to say, the success of an athlete is 30% of talent, and the rest is hard work. They train eight hours a day. Maybe that's why they don't concede their first place to anyone?

You see, we have a large country, especially a lot of talents in the provinces. Let's take CSKA: Golovin from Kaltan, Dzagoev from Beslan. It often happens that guys, getting from the provinces to the capital, lose their heads - girls, alcohol, entertainment. It is important that there is someone nearby who could pull back, return to the ground.

    - Since talking about percentages, tell me, is the goalkeeper half of the team?

    - The goalkeeper is a separate country. Although at the courses in Europe, where I was recently, on the contrary, they said that the goalkeeper and the team are one. The goalkeeper played to zero - already a draw, one point.

    - The goalkeepers have a great responsibility.

    - And this is also our feature. Here are two examples.

The first is Sashka Filimonov. After that unfortunate goal, he broke down morally and did not fully recover. Everyone always and everywhere, when pronouncing his surname, recalls the match with Ukraine.

The second example is Lev Yashin. As soon as he was not hounded after a goal conceded in Chile. There was a period when he went out to play only on the road, and at home meetings he was hidden. And what times were there - they could summon to the Lubyanka and ask why he played like that. But Lev Ivanovich withstood this press, and he is deservedly considered the best goalkeeper in the world.

    - A year ago, Vyacheslav Chanov told us that Yashin largely became the founder of the modern principles of goalkeeping.

    - I agree with Vyacheslav Viktorovich. Today everyone admires Neuer, but he completely repeats how Lev Ivanovich played. And this is correct, it should be so. By the way, kicking is a component that is well developed among the goalkeepers of the Soviet school, even, one might say, its calling card.

    GAZZAEV AND BESKOV

    - Which club you played for do you consider yours?

    - It so happened that I did not perform everywhere for a long time and everywhere I was comfortable. I will note something else. I was lucky to work with great coaches - Konstantin Beskov, Valery Gazaev, Valentin Ivanov. I even trained in Romantsev's "Spartak", and once almost moved there. I am happy with my career.

    - You have listed outstanding coaches. Do you have stories about them?

    - Many of them are not for the press (laughs).

    - Then confirm - Gazzayev crushed a lemon during the break in the match with Parma?

    - That he just didn’t press (smiles). Once we went with Dynamo to a tournament in England. Break again. Valery Georgievich runs in and shouts: "You can't play like that!" Then he turns to the administrator: "Give me the form!" He looked at him in surprise. “I said give out the uniform! I’ll go out for 15-20 minutes, but I’ll show them how to play! ”

    - It's scary to imagine what happened next.

    - Valery Georgievich practically got dressed and was already ready to enter the field, but still remained on the coaching bench. That's how he cheered us up.

    - Have you had situations with Gazzaev similar to the one he had with Wagner when he sent him to the double, and the day before the match with Sparak he returned to the squad, and he thanked him with a hat-trick?

    - 1996th year. Training before the game with Lokomotiv. We are in first place, and they have gained a decent move. Obviously, there will be a wheelhouse. The field on which the lesson was held turned out to be too hard, and I went out in shorts. Let’s go to shots on goal, but I don’t jump for the ball - I take care of myself. Valery Georgievich asked why I was not falling. I replied that tomorrow is a game, but now, if I fall on such a field, I can injure my skin. Gazzaev began to boil: "Leave the training so that I don't see you at all." I don’t understand anything, he never kicked me out. The rest of the lesson I stood outside the field.

    - Conflict.

    - No, no. What does the teacher mean - in the evening Georgievich called me to his place: “I understand, a tough field. And tomorrow - Lokomotiv, a responsible game. If you take care of yourself, it will be passed on to the field footballers. You have to turn them on, poison them. Tomorrow you have to go out and beat Lokomotiv alone.

    - How did you play?

    - Won 1: 0. After the match, he came up and reminded me of everything he said after dinner.

Later, he once again showed his character towards me. We lost in the golden match to Spartak, and I conceded a ridiculous goal from Tikhonov.

New season. I am getting ready to start it as the first number, and Zaur Khapov becomes it, who fails to start the championship. We lost several matches and again a meeting with Spartak. Gazzayev called us two: “Zaur, you are not working yet. Dima will come out with Spartak. " I haven't slept all night. I thought it was pan or lost. The red and white gave us a crazy match. One hit after one. But we won - 2: 0. And then I decided for myself: that's it, I got rid of it for the "gold".

    - Have you yourself ever set up a team in this way?

    - With the national team of Azerbaijan, we hosted the Portuguese in Baku. Then they had a great team: Sa Pinto, Luis Figo, Rui Costa and so on. Before the game, I gathered the guys: “Guys, I understand everything, they are stronger. There we lost 0: 6. It is unpleasant for me to concede six goals. We must go out and prove that we are no worse than them. "

The match has begun. They hit - they can't score. We played the first half, 0: 0. The second half of the meeting began, and the lights went out in the stadium. The fight continued the next day. Again they cannot score.

Seven minutes before the end of the meeting, our striker runs away and scores - 1: 0, ahead of Azerbaijan. Everyone is shocked. In stoppage time Figo evened the score, but we still had a holiday.

    - In England, after Ferguson threw the boot at Beckham, he left the club.

    - And I threw my boots (smiles). Once he threw her at Kolya Pisarev, who was arguing about something with Sasha Tochilin. But we have maintained a great relationship.

    - How did Beskov build communication?

I looked at foreign goalkeepers, went to warm-up and began to play from the side, tried to shoot at goal, to recoup the defenders. Konstantin Ivanovich comes up: "Son, you don't have to do this." I tried to convince the master, but he was adamant. Then the game began, they roll me back, I hit forward, after the ricochet the ball flies into the goal. Goal. I think it's okay. Tomorrow they call the squad for a new match, but I’m not even in reserve. That is what it means to disobey Beskov. After that, I think he gave up on me.

    - When they call the name of Beskov, some focus on TTD.

    - So the same came today from there, from the work that Beskov was doing with Adamas Solomonovich Golodets. Konstantin Ivanovich, for example, punished those players who, instead of aggravating them, always played backwards. You can’t scold Beskov and use InStat at the same time.

    Giner

    - Many people say that football according to Beskov is the last century.

    - Come on, come on! I will not hide the fact that most of all I like the way Barcelona play. They started this "tiki-taku" since the days of Cruyff. But Beskov preached the same thing, the same model of the game.

    - People who have not played football themselves often say this about Beskov. And how do you feel about coaches, in particular for children, who do not have a gambling past.

    - A person who has not gone the path of a football player from A to Z, who himself has not felt everything in his own skin, is not able to give much to the younger generation of football players. It's another matter when something didn't work out or a person was injured, but he remains in football in a new role.

But let's not forget about Valery Vasilievich Lobanovsky. Yura Kalitvintsev said that when he appeared near the field, everyone immediately began tucking their shirts into their underpants, straightening gaiters and shin guards, and tying their boots. He was respected.

    - And they were afraid.

    - Nevertheless. Sasha Zhidkov told me that after moving to Dynamo Kiev, Lobanovsky created all the conditions for him. He helped the players, did everything to make them think only about the game, and not about how and where to buy a loaf of bread. But Valery Vasilyevich demanded in full for this.

And everyone can speak. Beskov and Lobanovsky laid the foundations for the future. Oleg Romantsev became one of his followers of Beskov's ideas.

By the way, Oleg Ivanovich once helped me with the transfer to CSKA.

    - Are you saying a paradoxical thing now?

    - That's how it happened. After watching at Atlético, when I had already agreed to move to CSKA, I stayed in Spain, while CSKA was at the training camp in Holland. I didn't manage to fly to the army team and for a week I had to somehow keep in shape. An acquaintance of mine found out that "Spartak" is taking place not far from us, in the same place, in Spain. We turned to Romantsev with a request to train with the reds and whites for a week. Oleg Ivanovich said that he was aware of my situation and my transfer to CSKA, therefore, of course, he allowed me to spend this week with Spartak.

    - Did you want to recruit to your team?

    - I just decided to help. True, he later came out with a similar proposal to CSKA. Giner summoned me and said: “Dim, there is an offer from Spartak. Will you go? "

    - Was he ready to let you go?

    - I do not know. I replied that I could not imagine myself in the red-and-white squad, because before that I played for Alania, Dynamo and now - in CSKA, and these clubs and Spartak have antagonism.

    - What is Evgeny Lennorovich?

    - This is an amazing person. When moving to CSKA, he asked me: "Did Georgievich say that you are going to get married, help with something?" I was taken aback: “Thank you, Evgeny Lennorovich, but I can handle it myself. The only thing is that I want to buy an apartment in the future. If I deserve it, could you help me with this? " He replied: "It is important that you believe that help must be earned." At the end of the season, Giner called me again and reminded me of the apartment, said that the issue had been resolved and the contract was being extended for a year.

    - Fabulous.

    - He is very well versed in football. After one of the matches with Lokomotiv, he ran into the locker room and asked what was wrong. “It's not that you lost. The point is that you played mediocre. What's going wrong? What is not being created for you? What else needs to be done for you? " All were silent. Because everything was done. Salary - the same day. Bonuses - immediately. A normally built system has developed. He did everything he promised.

    - Before the interview, you said that CSKA of 2005 is your favorite team.

    - Yes, it all came together then. Excellent players, financial capabilities, a competent president, a strong coach. If Wagner or Olic did not score, Carvalho and Zhirkov calmly took over these functions.

By the way, Gazzaev had changed a little by that time and had slightly moved away from the loads that he had given before. I've already talked about them.

    - Is it true that once Alexander Berketov could not stand them and lost consciousness?

    - It was in Vatutinki. I remember that we were at the training camp in Shevearia, and on the very first day Gazzaev said that we were running 6 x 1200 meters. Elver Rahimich, Deividas Semberas, the Berezutsky brothers withstood, and Berket remained behind. For lagging or other cases when a football player could not withstand the load, Gazzayev fined. Sashka once suggested giving the entire salary to Georgievich at once.

Gazzaev also punished for being overweight.

    - Didn't they hide the scales like Ignashevich?

    - What we just didn’t do. I remember that Zaur Khapov was overweight. From the gymnasts who were also at the training camp in Novogorsk, we learned that there are pills that allow us to bring the weight back to normal. We bought them, ate them, and then all night long, I beg your pardon, ran to the toilet.

Morning. Control weighing. Everything is fine. Weight is normal. Then we came to training, there are shots on goal, and we both do not, everything flies in a row. Valery Georgievich called us: “What's going on? Do you have a conscience? What did you two do there at night in your room? " The body was completely dehydrated. True, Khapov used not one, but two pills, but we didn’t repeat this trick again (smiles). You understand, in the Caucasus, especially in Vladikavkaz, it is almost impossible not to gain excess weight.

    - A striking example is Zaza Janashia, who played for Lokomotiv.

    - Zaza couldn't imagine life without Georgian cuisine. But as a football player I liked him. With all the mass that he had, he possessed such coordination and dexterity.

    - Who is the most playful, of those with whom you had a chance to play?

    - Rolan Gusev. He was a cheerleader, constantly invented something, was a freak. This was the case at Dynamo and CSKA. There are many stories, but not for print (laughs).

    Best regards, Egor Krutelev
