• Ze Luis: I could have left Spartak due to my daughter's illness. The footballer of "Spartak" Ze Luis told about the relationship with the Russian woman Where did Ze Luis play before Spartak

    16.09.2021

Ze Luís is a Cape Verdean footballer, striker for Spartak and the Cape Verde national team. At the age of 17 he left Cape Verde to join the Portuguese team Gil Vicente. Shortly after his debut in the main team, he moved to Braga, with which he won the Portuguese League Cup 2012/13. In the summer of 2015, Ze Luís turned down Porto and Benfica to move to Spartak Moscow. In the debut season Russian Premier League scored 8 goals in 24 matches and helped his team to get a ticket to the Eurocups. Ze Luis is regularly called up to the Cape Verde national team, in 2009 he won the Lusofino Games, held in Lisbon. A player acts as a nominal striker, but can also play in a pair with other strikers or in a guy. Among the strong qualities of Ze Luis are good starting speed, plasticity, jumping ability and physique, he is able to hold the ball, cover it with his body and disperse the attack.

    • Full name: José Luís Mendes Andrade
    • Date and place of birth: March 21, 1991, Fogo (Cape Verde)
    • Position: forward

    Zé Luis' club career

Born in Cape Verde, he performed at the youth level at the local Batik. In 2009 he took part in the Lusofino Games in Lisbon. His team took gold medals, and Zé Luis himself scored three goals and came to the attention of local clubs. At the age of 18, he began his professional career at the Zhil Vicente club, making his debut in the Segunda vs Chaves duel. In the first season, he played only five matches, scoring a goal in the confrontation with Beira-Mash. But already in the 2010/11 season he became the team's top scorer and helped her reach the elite division. In April-May 2012, he played a series of five successful matches, scoring the only goal of his team in the League Cup final against Benfica (1-2).

    "Braga"

In the summer of 2011, he went on a promotion, signing a five-year contract with Braga (the transfer amount was 1 million euros). Here he was able to make his debut in the Champions League duel against Udinese. On November 3, he scored the first goal in the new team, hitting the goal of Zhil Vicente (3-1). In his debut season, he could not gain a foothold in starting lineup having played quite a few matches in the reserve team. On April 13 he played in the final of the League Cup, which ended with a victory over Porto (1-0). He spent the 2013/14 season on loan at the Hungarian Videoton. In this team he was also a reservist for some time, until he scored two goals against Uypest. At the end of the season, he got in excellent shape, scored five goals in four matches and went with the team to the Hungarian Cup final.

In the 2014/15 season, Ze Luis finally got his chance in the Braga main squad. In September's matches against Nacional, Rio Ave and Porto, he scored three goals and provided one assist. The next striking stretch in the striker's career came in April, when he scored his debut hat-trick in the cup match against Rio Ave (3-0), and also scored two goals against his native Zhil Vicente. The striker finished that season with 11 goals and 3 assists. Local giants Porto and Benfica, as well as Moscow Dynamo, began to take an interest in him. The capital club was ready to pay 2.5 million euros, but they started bargaining at Braga. Local giants offered 1.5 million + percentage of the next resale, but there was a dead end in this direction.

    "Spartacus"

In the summer of 2015, Ze Luis was associated with Spartak Moscow. After lengthy negotiations, the Cape Verdean footballer moved to the Red-White camp, signing a five-year contract. The transfer amount was 6.5 million euros. The player himself was glad to be in the ranks of the "red and white":

“I am very glad to be at Spartak! Of course, when you move to a new team, there are always certain moments associated with adaptation. But I do not think that this period will drag on. Spartak is my personal choice. Naturally, I had enough information about my new club and the Russian championship, which I received, in particular, from the Internet. I know that Spartak is a very respectable club, the most popular in Russia. I am sure that now the team has everything to achieve great results "

In Spartak, Ze Luis was supposed to replace Artem Dziuba, who moved to Zenit. The player's debut took place on July 17 in a duel against Ufa (2-2). He came on as a substitute for Yura Movsisyan and scored the first goal. At the start of his Spartak career, he was a player of the nearest reserve, and only on August 22 he first appeared in the starting lineup. In September, Ze Luís got in good shape, having scored a double in the confrontation of the Russian Cup against Volga (7-0). Three days later he helped Spartak to play a draw with Zenit (2-2), but in the same match he suffered a hamstring injury and was eliminated for a month.

By the end of the season, the Cape Verdean player was in good shape with six more goals and four assists. As a result, he finished his debut season with 10 goals and 5 assists, and his team finished fifth and advanced to the Eurocups. The coach of the “red-whites” Dmitry Alenichev said that he was pleased with the performances of the African striker and was confident that in the future he would be able to compete for the title of the top scorer of the Russian Championship:

“I am satisfied with Ze Luis. In St. Petersburg, for example, he played a very strong match, although he did not score. I think if Ze Luis manages to avoid injuries, then next season he will claim the title of the championship top scorer "

    International career of Ze Luis

In 2009, he was included in the application of the Cape Verde national team for the Lusophon games, scored three goals and received gold medals. On March 24, 2010, the player made his official debut in the main team of Cape Verde. He scored his first goal in the qualifying round for the 2014 World Cup against Sierra Leone. The next goals were scored in the qualifying campaigns for the African Cup of Nations against Madagascar, Niger and Zambia.

    • Champion of the Portuguese Segunda 2010/11
    • League Cup finalist 2011/12
    • League Cup Winner 2012/13

    "Videoton"

    • Hungarian Cup runner-up 2013/14

Preparing for the second part of the season in the company of a charming Russian woman who stole the heart, for a second, a married soccer player of the Cape Verdean national team from his current family.

According to a number of media reports, together with his new chosen one, 26-year-old Ze Luis attended the first training camp of the red and white, which was held in the UAE from January 9 to 22.

It is not known for certain, however, there is no doubt about the veracity of the fact of the relationship between a football player and a Russian girl -

Alesya (this is the name of the current love of the African), during her vacation with Ze in warm lands, generously shared with multiple subscribers short videos on Instagram stories, proving the accuracy of the press's guesses.

It is worth noting that Ze Luis is not just married. The athlete and his wife Rafaela also have two children - the son of Leo and the daughter of Mia, who, according to the attacker himself, has serious health problems.

“She has a very serious problem, she is undergoing treatment in Portugal,” said the Spartak player in November. - I saw her a couple of days ago - she fights, but it is very hard for her. Now the situation is not so dangerous, although at first everything was bad. I even thought to leave Russia. "

“Unfortunately, the problem has not been completely resolved, although my daughter has gotten better. And I continue to believe that she will finally recover.

Every month until she reaches the age of seven, she needs to undergo a special examination. This is one of the reasons why she is not with me in Russia ",

    - explained the footballer in an interview.

According to some information, after the end of the first part of the season, Ze Luis immediately went to Portugal to his daughter and son, but did not stay with his children for very long and subsequently flew with Alesya to Rio de Janeiro, where he spent Christmas and New Year.

At the same time, on the day of the Catholic holiday, the athlete published an extremely sad post on his instagram with a photo of Mia and Leo, in which he expressed regret at the impossibility of being next to them at that moment.

"Merry Christmas, my beloved, I am so far away from you now ... Better days are coming ..."

Posted under the photo by a native of Cape Verde.

In turn, Alesya, in Moscow, engaged in teaching dance at her own choreographic school, during her Brazilian voyage, enjoyed the local beauties, and also admitted that she misses borscht and mashed potatoes with cutlets.

"It is, of course, very good here, but as soon as I arrive in Moscow, I will go to a restaurant and take myself borscht, as well as mashed potatoes with cutlets,"

    - they shared with subscribers.

And already at the end of the vacation, the couple simultaneously posted the same photo in their accounts, finally removing all questions regarding their relationship.

It is curious that quite recently the press was seriously discussing the possible imminent departure of the "Spartak" striker from Russia.

The representative of the English Football Premier League "Brighton", who was allegedly ready to pay a "tidy" sum for him - as much as € 20 million, was interested in the stately striker, among others.

However, the transfer did not take place in the end - and this happened, according to the media, precisely because of the refusal of the player himself.

One can only guess whether the footballer rejected the deal purely for sporting motives, or whether he went for it, among other things, for the sake of his new girlfriend.

Let's add that colors reigning champions Ze Luis has been defending Russia since 2015.

As a striker, the forward scores very few goals, compensating for this, however, with an almost exemplary play by the standards of Russia.

(as many as six assists in this national championship with only two goals), which makes the team's attack much more variable.

It was as part of the Spartak team that Ze achieved his first more or less serious trophy in his career - last May, the red and whites became the strongest team in the RFPL for the first time in many years, and a couple of months later they consolidated their long-awaited success by winning the Super Cup.

This season, things for Muscovites are still a little more complicated - after a disastrous start, the club managed to gain a great move closer to winter and even caught up with the principal competitors from whom almost all experts had previously dubbed future champions, but nevertheless finished the first part of the championship with not the most a pleasant eight-point lag from the leading Lokomotiv, which will obviously not be easy for Ze Luis and his company.

    Biography:

    Club career

Ze Luís was born in Cape Verde and at the age of 18 he moved to Portugal, where he began his professional career at the club "Gil Vicente." On November 29, 2009 in a match against "Chaves" he made his debut in the Portuguese Segunda. On April 15, 2010, in a duel against Beira-Mar, Ze Luis scored his first goal for the team. In the first two seasons, he showed good performance, becoming the top scorer of the team, and also helped her reach the elite and reach the final of the Portuguese League Cup.

Ze Luis attracted the attention of more eminent clubs with his game. In the summer of 2011, he moved to Braga, signing a five-year agreement with the club. Zé Luís had a good first season, but then began to decline and was loaned to Live Vicente. A year later, Ze Luis returned to Braga. On August 25, 2012, in the match against Beira Mar, he made his debut in the Sangres League. On 3 November, against his former club Gil Vicente, Ze Luis scored his first goal for Braga. In 2013, he won the Portuguese League Cup.

In the summer, Ze Luis transferred to the Hungarian Videoton on loan. On July 28, in a match against Haladash, he made his debut in the Hungarian Championship. On September 21, in a duel against Kecskemet, Ze Luis scored his first goal for Videoton. He helped the team reach the Hungarian Cup final. After the end of the loan, Ze Luis returned to Braga.

In early 2015, Porto, Benfica and Dynamo Moscow showed interest in Ze Luis. In the summer, he moved to Spartak Moscow, signing a contract for 4 years. The transfer amount was 6.5 million euros.

    International career

On May 24, 2010, in a friendly match against Portugal, Ze Luis made his debut for the Cape Verde national team. On June 16, in the African Cup qualifier against Madagascar, he scored his first goal for the national team.

Jose Luis Mendes Andrade in Spartacus?

    "Blue Shark" for "Spartak"

According to the Portuguese press, Spartak is in talks with Braga to acquire 24-year-old center-forward Ze Luis, whose contract expires in a year.

Recently, the newspaper A Bola reported that the red and white offered 5 million euros for the native of Cape Verde. Now, according to the publication Record, the amount has increased to 6.5 million. Braga, however, is pushing for 10 million.

Just in case, the estimated market value of the rather tall (183 cm) and athletic striker, according to the transfermarkt website, is now € 1.5 million. But this is still subjective.

In the Portuguese notes, there are also discrepancies regarding the position of the player himself. If at first it was noted that he was not satisfied with the proposed conditions, then later information was received that he was not averse to trying his hand at the Russian championship.

By the way, the forward, whose full name is Jose Luis Mendes Andrade, has already managed to get acquainted with Eastern Europe. At the age of 17, Ze Luis spent a season in the Romanian club Gloria from Bistrita, and in the 2013/14 season he played on loan for the Hungarian Videoton. As part of the Szekesfehervar club, taking into account the cup tournaments, he took part in 38 matches and scored 15 goals. At the same time, in the Hungarian Championship, the Kaboverdian had 9 goals in 26 games, which allowed him to split the places from 9th to 12th in the list of top scorers.

A little information about the state of Cape Verde, whose name we once translated - Cape Verde Islands. It is indeed located on ten islands off the west coast of Africa. Moreover, only half a million people live in it. There are even more Kaboverdians abroad. Thanks to the origin of the Cape Verde national team, Patrick Vieira, Henrik Larsson, Nani, Sylvester Varela, Rolando could play.

Until 1974, the islands belonged to Portugal, the locals speak Portuguese. It is not surprising that the path of most capable players lies precisely in the former metropolis. So Ze Luis came as a young man to the Leixonish club, then ended up in Freamund, then there was a Romanian trip and return to Portugal, where in 2009 a professional career began in Zhil Vicente, playing in the second division. With this club, the striker went into the strongest class two years later, after which he signed a five-year contract with “Braga”, which just then reached the Europa League final. The lineup was correspondingly good - and the islander immediately returned to Zhil Vicente as a rented player.

He started the 2012/13 season with Braga's double and ended with the main team, usually as a substitute. In the summer, clubs from the second divisions of Portugal and France wanted to get him, but the option with Hungary, which we already talked about, was realized.

Only the last season, the striker was firmly in “Braga”. Its statistics are as follows: championship - 20 matches (14 - in the starting lineup) and 8 goals (2 - from the penalty spot), cups - 4 matches and 3 goals.

Only Eder from Guinea-Bissau, with whom our hero shared a place in the center of attack, scored more in the championship (10 goals) for “Braga”. As a result, the team took 4th place and won a ticket to the Europa League, in contrast, we will note, from “Spartak”, which does not speak in any way in favor of the Muscovites.

The striker made his debut for Cape Verde in 2010, coming out one minute in a friendly against Portugal. He was included in the Blue Sharks to participate in the 2013 African Cup of Nations final, but refused to go to the competition in South Africa for personal reasons, as the national federation announced. Meanwhile, the Kaboverdians successfully performed at the first tournament of this rank for themselves, ahead of Morocco and Angola in the group together with the home team. In the quarterfinals, they lost to Ghana - 0: 2.

In the same year, at the African Cup, the Cape Verde team did not leave the group, never losing, but not winning either. Ze Luis was not invited to this tournament, although he played at the qualifying stage.

If “Spartak” agrees on him, there will be a premiere: “sharks” from the African islands have not yet been in the Russian championship.

    Notes (edit)

    Excerpt from Zé Luis

The princess was evidently annoyed that there was no one to be angry with. She, whispering something, sat down on a chair.
“But you are not being told this correctly,” said Pierre. “Everything is quiet in the city, and there is no danger. So I just read ... - Pierre showed the princess the posters. - The count writes that he answers with his life that the enemy will not be in Moscow.
“Oh, this count of yours,” the princess spoke angrily, “is a hypocrite, a villain who himself set the people up to rebel. Didn't he write in these stupid posters that whatever it was, drag him by the crest to the exit (and how stupid)! Whoever takes, says, to him both honor and glory. So I didn’t care. Varvara Ivanovna said that the people almost killed her because she spoke French ...
    - Why, this is so ... You take everything to heart very much, - said Pierre and began to play solitaire.
Despite the fact that the solitaire came together, Pierre did not go to the army, but remained in empty Moscow, still in the same anxiety, indecision, in fear and together in joy, expecting something terrible.
The next day, the princess left in the evening, and Pierre was visited by his general manager with the news that he could not get the money he needed to equip the regiment, if not sell one estate. The general manager generally imagined to Pierre that all these undertakings of the regiment were supposed to ruin him. Pierre could hardly hide his smile, listening to the words of the manager.
“Well, sell it,” he said. - What can I do, I cannot refuse now!
The worse the state of affairs, and especially his affairs, was, the more pleasant it was for Pierre, the more obvious it was that the catastrophe he was waiting for was approaching. Almost no one of Pierre's acquaintances was in the city. Julie left, Princess Marya left. Of the close acquaintances, only the Rostovs remained; but Pierre did not visit them.
On this day, in order to have fun, Pierre went to the village of Vorontsovo to see a large balloon that Leppikh was building for the destruction of the enemy, and a test balloon that was to be launched tomorrow. This ball was not yet ready; but, as Pierre learned, it was built at the request of the sovereign. The sovereign wrote the following to Count Rostopchin about this ball:
"Aussitot que Leppich sera pret, composez lui un equipage pour sa nacelle d" hommes surs et intelligents etdepechez un courrier au general Koutousoff pour l "en prevenir. Je l "ai instruit de la chose.
Recommandez, je vous prie, a Leppich d "etre bien attentif sur l" endroit ou il descendra la premiere fois, pour ne pas se tromper et ne pas tomber dans les mains de l "ennemi. Il est indispensable qu" il combine ses mouvements avec le general en chef ".
[As soon as Leppich is ready, make a crew for his boat of loyal and intelligent people and send a courier to General Kutuzov to warn him.
I informed him about it. Please inspire Leppiha to pay good attention to the place where he will descend for the first time, so as not to make a mistake and not fall into the hands of the enemy. It is necessary that he understands his movements with the movements of the commander-in-chief.]
Returning home from Vorontsov and passing through Bolotnaya Square, Pierre saw a crowd at the Execution Ground, stopped and got off the droshky. It was the execution of a French chef accused of espionage. The execution had just ended, and the executioner was untied from the mare a piteously groaning fat man with red sideburns, in blue stockings and a green jacket. Another criminal, thin and pale, was standing there. Both, judging by their faces, were French. With a frightened, sickly look similar to that of a thin Frenchman, Pierre pushed his way through the crowd.
    - What is it? Who? For what? He asked. But the attention of the crowd - officials, petty bourgeois, merchants, men, women in cloaks and fur coats - was so eagerly focused on what was happening in Execution Ground that no one answered him. The fat man got up, frowning, shrugged his shoulders and, obviously wishing to express firmness, began to put on a doublet without looking around him; but suddenly his lips trembled, and he began to cry, angry with himself, like grown sanguine people cry. The crowd began to speak loudly, as it seemed to Pierre, in order to drown out the feeling of pity in itself.
    - Someone's prince's cook ...
“That, musia, it’s obvious that the Frenchman had a sour taste of Russian sauce… he made him sore,” said the wrinkled clerk, who was standing next to Pierre, while the Frenchman began to cry. The clerk looked around him, apparently expecting an assessment of his joke. Some laughed, some continued to look in dismay at the executioner, who was undressing the other.
Pierre sniffled, frowned, and, turning quickly, walked back to the droshky, not ceasing to mutter something to himself as he walked and sat down. During the journey he shuddered several times and cried out so loudly that the coachman asked him:
    - What do you want?
    - Where are you going? - Pierre shouted at the coachman who was leaving for the Lubyanka.
"They ordered the commander-in-chief," answered the coachman.
    - Fool! beast! - Pierre shouted, which rarely happened to him, scolding his coachman. - I ordered home; and hurry up, you fool. We have to leave today, ”Pierre said to himself.
Pierre, seeing the punished Frenchman and the crowd surrounding the Execution Ground, decided so completely that he could not stay in Moscow any longer and was going to the army today, that it seemed to him that he either told the coachman about this, or that the coachman himself should have known it ...
Arriving home, Pierre gave the order to his coachman Evstafievich, who knows everything, who knows everything, who knows all about Moscow, that he would go to Mozhaisk to the army at night and that his riding horses should be sent there. All this could not be done on the same day, and therefore, according to Evstafievich's proposal, Pierre had to postpone his departure until another day in order to give time for the frames to leave for the road.
On the 24th it cleared up after the bad weather, and on that day after dinner Pierre left Moscow. At night, changing horses at Perkhushkovo, Pierre learned that there had been a great battle that evening. They said that here, in Perkhushkov, the earth trembled from the shots. To Pierre's questions about who won, no one could give him an answer. (It was a battle on the 24th at Shevardin.) At dawn Pierre drove up to Mozhaisk.
All the houses of Mozhaisk were occupied by troops, and there was no room in the upper rooms at the inn, where Pierre was greeted by his master and coachman: everything was full of officers.
In Mozhaisk and beyond Mozhaisk, troops stood and marched everywhere. Cossacks, foot, horse soldiers, wagons, boxes, cannons could be seen from all sides. Pierre was in a hurry to drive ahead, and the farther he rode away from Moscow and the deeper he plunged into this sea of troops, the more he was seized by anxiety of uneasiness and a new joyful feeling he had not yet experienced. It was a feeling similar to that which he experienced in the Sloboda Palace when the emperor arrived - a feeling of the need to undertake something and sacrifice something. He was now experiencing a pleasant feeling of consciousness that everything that makes up people's happiness, the comforts of life, wealth, even life itself, is nonsense, which is pleasant to cast aside in comparison with something ... With which, Pierre could not give himself an account, and he tried to figure it out for himself for whom and for what he found a special charm to sacrifice everything. He was not interested in what he wanted to sacrifice for, but the sacrifice itself constituted a new joyful feeling for him.

On the 24th there was a battle at the Shevardinsky redoubt, on the 25th not a single shot was fired from either side, on the 26th the Borodino battle took place.
For what and how were the battles at Shevardin and at Borodino given and accepted? Why was the Battle of Borodino given? It didn't make the slightest sense to either the French or the Russians. The closest result was and should have been - for the Russians, the fact that we were close to the death of Moscow (which we feared most in the world), and for the French, that they were close to the death of the entire army (which they also feared the most in the world) ... This result was obvious at the same time, and meanwhile Napoleon gave, and Kutuzov accepted this battle.
If the generals were guided by reasonable reasons, it seemed how clear it should have been for Napoleon that, having gone two thousand miles and taking the battle with the probable accident of losing a quarter of the army, he was going to certain death; and it should have seemed just as clear to Kutuzov that by accepting the battle and also risking losing a quarter of the army, he would probably lose Moscow. For Kutuzov it was mathematically clear, how clear is that if I have less than one checker in checkers and I change, I will probably lose and therefore should not change.
When the opponent has sixteen checkers, and I have fourteen, then I am only one-eighth weaker than him; and when I exchange thirteen checkers, he will be three times stronger than me.
Before the Battle of Borodino, our forces were approximately five to six of the French, and after the battle as one to two, that is, before the battle of one hundred thousand; one hundred and twenty, and after the battle fifty to a hundred. At the same time, the clever and experienced Kutuzov took up the battle. Napoleon, the genius commander, as he is called, gave battle, losing a quarter of the army and further stretching his line. If they say that, having occupied Moscow, he thought how to end the campaign by occupying Vienna, then there is a lot of evidence against this. The historians of Napoleon themselves say that he also wanted to stop from Smolensk, knew the danger of his extended position, knew that the occupation of Moscow would not be the end of the campaign, because from Smolensk he saw in what position the Russian cities were left to him, and did not receive a single answer to their repeated statements about the desire to negotiate.

There are no answers about tactics and goals scored. Here Spartak forward Zé Luis speaks frankly about the difficulties of life in Russia and his family problems.

    - You were late for about an hour. What happened?- we waited for Ze in the football space of The Base Moscow, where after the panna tournament he took part in the presentation of the new adidas Pyro Storm boots.

    - I got lost, and twice. I think, "Damn, where is this place?" The navigator leads through the yards, I don't understand anything. Thank God, I found you for the third time.

    - I heard that you have a personal driver.

    - Yes, but this time I came myself. Actually, I like to drive. Although it is not easy in Russia.

    - Is it traffic jams?

    - Not only. Sometimes it is difficult to find the right place, for example, a pharmacy. There are a lot of them in Moscow, but my GPS leads me to the wrong place every time. Right and left, and I'm already lost. Moscow traffic jams really drive me crazy. I spend at least an hour on the road. The record for the time to Tarasovka is 2.5 hours.

    - Are you late?

    - Absolutely everyone was late there! Therefore, the training was postponed. It was a crazy summer day when everyone gathered outside town for a barbecue. I remember it was very hot, people went swimming en masse, and everything around turned into one big traffic jam.

    - Do you like speed?

    - Sometimes. He recently set a personal best in Portugal. Drove from Porto to Braga and dispersed the Audi SQ7 to 250 km / h. This is a big, powerful machine. I wanted to experience her capabilities and my feelings. It turned out cool.

    - What interests you in Moscow?

    - This is the largest city where I have been. I like Moscow for one reason: every time you need something, you can easily get it. Anything at any time of the day: two in the morning is not a problem. There are also very beautiful skyscrapers here. The university, for example, is visible from the windows of my apartment.

    - Where is it?

    - In Moscow City. It is convenient, many guys live there, there are enough cafes, restaurants and shops. I like my place. I spend a lot of time at home in my room. I love it when there is a small, but only place for me. This is how I feel comfortable.

    - Near the University there is an observation deck, from there a good view of Luzhniki opens. Were there?

    - No, but once I flew over the city in a helicopter. It was frightening. The helicopter turned out to be so small, I could hardly fit there. I was a little worried, but it was a good experience - I liked it. It was great to see Moscow from a bird's eye view.

    - Do you love to travel?

    - No. I don't like airplanes. Once flew for a weekend from Portugal to Cape Verde. The flight takes four hours, and all the way we were dangling from side to side, there was constant turbulence. I remember that day as it is now: the people in the salon were crying, everyone was scared, and I just prayed that it would all be over as soon as possible. It was very scary.

    - What do you dislike about Moscow besides traffic jams?

    - There is one thing - the mood of the people. Feeling that they are not too happy here. They seem to want to fight, they often shout. And I'm a happy guy - I laugh, I smile.

    - Where do you think the difference comes from?

    - It's all because of the weather and traffic. People are stressed all the time, they are late for work. They start at eight, so you have to get up at six in the morning, sometimes at 5:30, and all because of traffic jams. Of course, this annoys people. They are not evil in themselves, they are enraged by the situation around.

"In Russia, a bribe is normal"

    - What time does your day start?

    - I get up at 8 am, have breakfast. Usually it is toast, 1-2 boiled eggs, juice and coffee. My homemaker prepares my meals. She is Filipino and can cook whatever I want. Most of all I love chicken dishes. Usually I leave the house at 8:30, because I live far from the base.

    - What do you do after training?

    - Lunch, rehabilitation procedures, theory. I finish at two o'clock and at three already at home. I am a stay-at-home, I like to watch movies, TV series.

    - Do you go anywhere besides Moscow City?

    - I go to the cinema, meet with friends in the center in a cafe, sometimes go shopping. I walked in Gorky Park three or four times, I really liked it there.

    - Did you ride the rides?

    - No. You know, when you live in a foreign country, it's not so easy to go and ride the attractions. Most of the people here do not speak English, there are difficulties in communication. Sometimes it's hard to buy a ticket or ask for something when you need help. Therefore, in Russia I play football, and after that I go home.

    - The moment when you were not helped?

    - At first, I was often wrong. Let's say I go to the supermarket to buy sugar. I see something similar. I return home, open it, taste - salt. The people in the shops don't speak English, it's hard to explain what you need.

Once there was a bad experience with a doctor at the city hospital. I come and ask: "I don't speak Russian - could you speak English?" The woman replies approximately the following: "No, I am in Russia, and we speak Russian here." She said it in her native language, but I understood everything. After that, she spoke to me in English. I laughed, but frankly, it hurt. It's hard to understand where this attitude comes from.

    - Have you ever met with the local police?

    - They stop me all the time. Every day, sometimes twice. First one policeman, after 200 meters another. They take away my passport, put me in a police car. I sit there, doing nothing for about 30 minutes while they search my car. It is useless to explain that you are a football player and do not use drugs. They don't care, they don't hear anything and stupidly want to waste your time.

    - Have you tried to bribe?

    - Yes. This, as I understand it, is in the order of things. The police won't let you go until you pay. Once I left my car in Presnya, next to a shopping center. Oh "kay, it was in the wrong place, but I ran out for literally five minutes to pick up my shoes. I run out back, next to the car, the police and a tow truck. I say:" Wait, I walked away literally for a minute. "They say:" No, that's it - we are taking away. ”We had to give 10 thousand rubles.

    - Is there anything similar in Portugal?

    - What are you, if you offer a bribe, you immediately go to jail. And in Russia this is normal.

“Every day they send me a direct message:“ Hello, Boniface! ”

    - Have you seen the cartoon about Boniface the lion?

    - Every day they write to me in direct: "Hello, Boniface." It's funny. I understand that this comparison is due to the hairstyle, I respect him. It doesn't hurt me.

    - Have any funny situations with this nickname?

    - Fans call me that all the time, send me pictures. I am not trying to understand absolutely all the points. Anyway, I'm not a fan of constantly checking the Internet. Trust me, I don’t hang on my phone. I come home, put my mobile aside and forget about it. People often write to me: "Why don't you answer?" I don’t know what to tell people - I don’t look on social networks for a long time. I take a computer and watch movies and TV shows. I'm a bit of a loser when it comes to the phone: I often forget where it is and don't worry about it.

    - Did you have pets?

    - No, but I like dogs and I don't like cats very much. The cat does not know how to be friends - two minutes here and suddenly disappears. She walks on her own, she doesn't care about you. Dogs are a different story, they are real and devoted friends.

    - What do you miss the most in Russia?

    - By the sun. The most difficult thing in my life in Moscow is to survive the rain, snow and, most importantly, the cold. One of the worst moments in my career I experienced in Tomsk, when we played at minus 15. -15, can you imagine !? I wanted to put on a bandage to protect my ears, but they told me: "You can't!" He asked again: “Are you out of your mind? Without this, you cannot play football in such a frost. ”They calmly explained to me once again that it was impossible to put on a bandage. It was a shock.

It was incredibly cold in my first season, when we played against Wings of the Soviets at home in December. I was dying on the field, and when, after the first half, I returned to the locker room, I cried like a child. My fingers and toes ached like hell, so I said to Alenichev: "Coach, I don't want and can't play anymore."

It was an incredibly difficult moment, but I still made it to the second half. Thank God, I was replaced already in the 60th minute. Frankly speaking, it's impossible to play in such cold weather. You do not feel arms and legs, as if you are flying and are not able to fully control the limbs.

    - You haven't played for a long time due to an unusual injury. Stretching of the abdominal muscles is more typical of goalkeepers. Fans are asking, "How did this happen?"

    - I asked myself the same question every day and could not find an answer. I have a pumped-up abs, I work on it every day. This is a very strange and serious injury, I got it in training. At first, I experienced painful sensations at the slightest movement. Whatever I did, it came back with a wild pain in my stomach. Fortunately, now I'm completely fine.

"My brother is an alcoholic ..."

    - You have a big family?

    - There are two brothers. One got married and left for the States, the other sits at home in Cape Verde. He loves to drink, that's the only thing he does. My brother is an alcoholic. I tried to help many times, but he doesn't care. He only wants money for a drink. But I don’t want to give. Basically, this is how I help him kill himself.

    - When did he start drinking?

    - At the age of 16-17, now he is 33. He started with beer. It’s very hot in my homeland, and it’s always cool to sip a cold beer and freshen up. Gradually, my brother began to drink stronger drinks. For example, kashasu - he drinks it every day.

    - How does the family react to this?

    - Mom can do nothing, he is already 33. He lives with her and gets drunk every day. This is a very difficult moment for our family.

    - Did you try to get him to the clinic?

    - Cape Verbe is not Russia, you cannot force a person. I have plans on this topic, I am thinking how to help him. Let's see if it works out. It also depends on him.

    - You have two children: a son and a daughter. Is it true that your daughter is seriously ill?

    - Yes, she has a very serious problem, she is undergoing treatment in Portugal. I saw her a couple of days ago - she struggles, but it is very hard for her. Now the situation is not so dangerous, although at first everything was bad. I even thought to leave Russia.

    - When it started?

    - Two years ago. Only a couple of months have passed since I moved to new club, and was already seriously thinking about leaving Spartak. It's hard to understand that your daughter is in the hospital and you can't be around.

This went on for five months, then there was an improvement. She is now at home, taking medications and must stay in Portugal until the end of treatment. Every month until she reaches the age of seven, she needs to undergo a special examination. This is one of the reasons why she is not with me in Russia.

A year and a half ago, I felt terrible, but I found the strength to continue living and communicating with people. Unfortunately, the problem has not been completely resolved, although my daughter has gotten better. And I continue to believe that she will finally recover.
