Then he went to school, and as part of the yard team he regularly went to play at Luzhniki. We played the ball with an elastic band, and one day my coach offered to join a serious team. On a good artificial field, the guys from FSM were engaged. Of course, I agreed.

- That is, you played all the time in the Luzhniki Stadium, in the courtyards did not?

Why not? Sometimes it happened there. Finished playing in the yard not too long ago. The last time was 19 years. On weekends, I regularly kicked the ball with my neighbors.

The yard is always full of other hobbies. Wasn't there a temptation to take a different path?

No never. I have training in the morning, then school, then training again. I barely had time to come home to do my homework. There was not enough time for them. Moreover - to communicate with friends in the yard. As well as trying alcohol or smoking.

Did you really study at school or did you go because you have to?

I always had a solid C in any subject. There were, of course, those that I didn't like. For example, mathematics. Although physics, albeit a technical science, he studied with interest.

Can you remember anything from physics offhand?

To be honest, no longer. However, I remember Ohm's law, for example. If you try hard, I will give you a few more names. However, now it is no longer so important.

When they were in school, they probably had privileges in physical education. Is not it?

Of course I liked her. In fact, we had a sports class, that is, only footballers. And not a single girl, of course. After all, he studied at school number 168 with a sports bias. There all FShMevites are still studying.

Besides football, did you do anything else in physical education?

And how! They did everything that was required by the program. I liked almost all kinds of sports: I liked to play volleyball, and the same "bouncers".

And did you pull up, say, a lot?

30 times - no problem. I don't remember my personal best, because I always thought that I could pull up as much as I wanted. Haven't had any problems with throwing yet. For example, when I entered the institute I threw a grenade 60 meters.

And what kind of institute?

Malakhovsky physical culture. Combining study with sports is, frankly, not easy. There is no time at all. But sometimes I stop by, find out the schedule, get assignments, and spin as much as possible.

On the last school bell, football did not interfere with being present?

At that moment, the World Youth Games were being held in Moscow. Although I didn’t get into the first place in our national team, I prepared on an equal basis with everyone else. And he passed the exams, unlike his classmates, in advance. Of course, I dropped in on the "last call", but I was only at the so-called official part. But it didn't work out with everyone: if my memory serves, I had a game the next day.

- A little later you got into the Torpedo. How did it come about?

After FShM I was invited to the double, like many guys born in 1981. We won the Russian championship at our age, and I was recognized as the best defender. So it gradually went and went. He played for the double, sometimes was involved in performances for the main team.

Rumor has it that you are a favorite with Petrenko, who now coaches the first team, and then worked with understudies?

In my opinion, Sergei Anatolyevich has none. For him, everyone is equal. Although we can say that it was he who finally dragged me to the main team. But even under Shevchenko, I regularly trained with the base. True, he played a little. But I got into the application.

The main thing is that I didn't put it on myself. In addition, there was no time: Valery Yuryevich Petrakov offered to go with him to Tomsk. In the two previous years of playing time, I didn’t have much, so I had to compensate, and I agreed. At Tom, where I spent the season, the fans recognized me as the best defender. In the first division, I gained experience, strength and game practice was in abundance. Although football in the second tier is very different from the Premier League. Volitional qualities come to the fore there. The game in the first division can be described as hit-and-run.

There is such a thing. Whenever possible I try to use this weapon of my own, but so far, at least in "Torpedo", this does not bring any result.

How can it bring results if you hardly use it? Penalties, for example, why don't you hit?

They are not allowed. I'm kidding, of course. With us, who should beat the "standards" is determined by the coach. In training, I work out free throws, it's just that in the game it is not yet possible to properly demonstrate the best practices. Luck is probably not enough.

When called to the national team, did your knees shake?

Why did they have to shake? In the national team, no doubt, all the strongest are gathered. But I felt only some excitement.

I bet - even a couple of months ago you could not even think that you would find yourself in the main national team?

There were dreams, of course. I tried to make them come true, but still the invitation was unexpected. Such a chance presented itself to me! But in the match with Austria it is too early to say whether I used it or not.

- After the game with the Austrians, Yartsev said that Bugaev has every reason to gain a foothold in the national team. Do you think this is a hint?

Everyone has such a chance. I will prove that Yartsev was not mistaken. Although, if I don't get to Portugal, I won't be upset. On the contrary, there will be an extra reason to work on yourself. The national team does not end after the European Championship. I am 22 years old, and there is still time. Soon, by the way, the qualifying tournament of the world championship ...

Of course, you always want more. And I do not mind at all not being a tourist in Portugal, but going to the field.

A 15-year-old guy from Krasnoyarsk easily bypassed venerable athletes. In the same season, he took two silver medals at the World Championships in giant slalom and super combined, and at the end of the season he won the main trophy - the World Cup. However, despite all these successes, the rivals were wary of Alexey, perceiving him as a temporary phenomenon. But the athlete himself, his parents and mentors knew that this result was not accidental. And the Paralympic successes of Bugaev are further proof of this. That the Sochi track was his, Alexey realized a year ago during the tests. Steep slopes suit him more in view of the low weight, and the athlete used this factor in full.

He won his first medal at these Games on March 8, like those first competitions 10 years ago. In downhill, he became the silver medalist, six hundredths of a second behind the Austrian Markus Salcher... And the next day he added a bronze in the super-giant to this medal. Moreover, as it turned out later, it was only a warm-up before the golden double, which the child prodigy issued on March 13 and 14. In slalom, Aleksey did not allow any of the opponents to get close to him either in the first or in the second heat. The victory was unconditional - to his closest rival Vincent Gaultier-Manuel he brought 1.27 seconds. In the super combination, Alexei Bugaev had enough advantage obtained in the first race to climb the first step of the podium for the second time.

The final day of the competition was not wasted either. In giant slalom, Alexei was again in the prizes. In the first race, he finished third, and in the second he managed to improve the time and played one position. Thus, on the account of the young talent two gold, two silver and one bronze.

During these one and a half years in big sports, Alexey has matured a lot. And what impresses no less than the athlete's achievements is the maturity of his judgments. Last year's successes did not affect him in any way: “Star fever? No. If you become arrogant, you can lose your family and friends. What for? I understand that you need to control yourself. " So there is no doubt that he will take his Paralympic victories as it should. So, in 2006, the “prodigal son” Alexey Bugaev returned to “Tom”. The footballer immediately found himself at the base and began to show the previous game of a fairly high level, corresponding to the level of the club. In the first year, he entered the field 28 times, scoring one goal, and in 2007 he played twenty matches. The 2008 season turned out to be the least successful - during it Bugaev entered the field in only 9 matches, and after that his cooperation with Tomyu came to an end. If you look at Bugaev's career, it may seem that it was not particularly successful. However, there was a period when he was even called up to the Russian national team - an honor that not all players are awarded. In 2003, Alexey played one match for the Russian Olympic team, but the next year he was promoted and was called up to the main team. In May 2004, Bugaev made his debut for the national team in a friendly match against the Austrian national team. And immediately after that a rather unexpected decision followed - the coach included Bugaev, who was at that time on the rise in Torpedo, but had no international experience at all, in the final application for the 2004 European Championship. Moreover, in two out of three matches of a major tournament, Alexei appeared on the field - in duels against the national teams of Portugal and Greece. Then Alexey played three more matches for the national team as part of the qualifying tournament for the 2008 World Cup, but did not stay in the national team anymore.

In February 2005 he played in last match for the national team - it was a friendly match with the Italian national team, which the Russians lost with a score of 0: 2. Since then, Bugaev has not been called up to the national team.

If we talk about Bugaev's career, then there is an opinion that his talent was great enough, but he could not fully reveal it. And the reason for this was the discipline problems caused by the constant use of alcohol. This led to the fact that Alexei could disappear for a week and not appear in training, which resulted in a far from brilliant career.
