An excerpt characterizing Biathlon at the 2014 Winter Olympics

    - Without declaring war, enter Russia. I will make peace only when not a single armed enemy remains on my land,” he said. As it seemed to Boris, the sovereign was pleased to express these words: he was pleased with the form of expression of his thoughts, but was dissatisfied with the fact that Boris heard them.
    - so that no one knows anything! added the sovereign, frowning. Boris realized that this was referring to him, and, closing his eyes, tilted his head slightly. The emperor again entered the hall and stayed at the ball for about half an hour.
Boris was the first to learn the news of the crossing of the Neman by the French troops and thanks to this he had the opportunity to show some important people that much, hidden from others, is known to him, and through this he had the opportunity to rise higher in the opinion of these persons.

The unexpected news that the French had crossed the Neman was especially unexpected after a month of unfulfilled expectations, and at the ball! The emperor, in the first minute of receiving the news, under the influence of indignation and insult, found that, which later became famous, a saying that he himself liked and fully expressed his feelings. Returning home from the ball, at two in the morning the sovereign sent for Secretary Shishkov and ordered him to write an order to the troops and a rescript to Field Marshal Prince Saltykov, in which he certainly demanded that words be placed that he would not reconcile until at least one an armed Frenchman will remain on Russian soil.
The next day the following letter was written to Napoleon.
Monsieur mon frere.
    (signe) Alexandre.
[“My lord brother! Yesterday it dawned on me that, despite the frankness with which I observed my obligations in relation to Your Imperial Majesty, Your troops crossed the Russian borders, and only now received a note from Petersburg, which Count Lauriston informs me about this invasion, that Your Majesty considers yourself in hostile relations with me since the time when Prince Kurakin demanded his passports. The reasons on which the Duke of Bassano based his refusal to issue these passports could never have led me to suppose that my ambassador's act was a pretext for an attack. And in fact, he had no order from me to do so, as he himself announced; and as soon as I found out about this, I immediately expressed my displeasure to Prince Kurakin, ordering him to fulfill the duties entrusted to him as before. If Your Majesty is not disposed to shed the blood of our subjects because of such a misunderstanding, and if you agree to withdraw your troops from the Russian possessions, then I will ignore everything that has happened, and an agreement between us will be possible. Otherwise, I will be forced to repel an attack that was not initiated by anything on my part. Your Majesty, you still have the opportunity to save humanity from the scourge of a new war.

On June 13, at two o'clock in the morning, the sovereign, having called Balashev to him and read his letter to Napoleon to him, ordered him to take this letter and personally hand it over to the French emperor. Sending Balashev, the sovereign again repeated to him the words that he would not reconcile until at least one armed enemy remained on Russian soil, and ordered that these words be conveyed to Napoleon without fail. The sovereign did not write these words in the letter, because he felt with his tact that these words were inconvenient to convey at the moment when the last attempt at reconciliation was being made; but he certainly ordered Balashev to hand them over to Napoleon personally.
Leaving on the night of June 13-14, Balashev, accompanied by a trumpeter and two Cossacks, arrived at dawn in the village of Rykonty, at the French outposts on this side of the Neman. He was stopped by French cavalry sentries.
A French hussar non-commissioned officer, in a crimson uniform and a shaggy hat, shouted at Balashev, who was approaching, ordering him to stop. Balashev did not immediately stop, but continued to move along the road at a pace.
The non-commissioned officer, frowning and muttering some kind of curse, advanced with his horse's chest on Balashev, took up his saber and rudely shouted at the Russian general, asking him: is he deaf that he does not hear what they say to him. Balashev named himself. The non-commissioned officer sent a soldier to the officer.
Paying no attention to Balashev, the non-commissioned officer began to talk with his comrades about his regimental affairs and did not look at the Russian general.
It was extraordinarily strange for Balashev, after being close to the highest power and might, after a conversation three hours ago with the sovereign and generally accustomed to honors in his service, to see here, on Russian soil, this hostile and, most importantly, disrespectful attitude of brute force towards himself.
The sun was just beginning to rise from behind the clouds; the air was fresh and dewy. On the way, the herd was driven out of the village. In the fields, one by one, like bubbles in water, the larks burst up with a chuckle.
Balashev looked around him, waiting for the arrival of an officer from the village. The Russian Cossacks, and the trumpeter, and the French hussars silently looked at each other from time to time.
A French hussar colonel, apparently just out of bed, rode out of the village on a handsome, well-fed gray horse, accompanied by two hussars. On the officer, on the soldiers and on their horses there was a look of contentment and panache.
This was the first time of the campaign, when the troops were still in good order, almost equal to a lookout, peaceful activity, only with a touch of elegant militancy in clothes and with a moral touch of that fun and enterprise that always accompany the beginning of campaigns.
The French colonel could hardly hold back a yawn, but he was courteous and, apparently, understood the full significance of Balashev. He led him past his soldiers by the chain and informed him that his desire to be presented to the emperor would probably be immediately fulfilled, since the imperial apartment, as far as he knew, was not far away.
They passed the village of Rykonty, past the French hussar hitching posts, sentries and soldiers saluting their colonel and examining the Russian uniform with curiosity, and drove to the other side of the village. According to the colonel, the head of the division was two kilometers away, who would receive Balashev and escort him to his destination.
The sun had already risen and shone cheerfully on the bright greenery.
They had just left behind the tavern on the mountain, when a group of horsemen appeared to meet them from under the mountain, in front of which, on a black horse with a harness shining in the sun, rode a tall man in a hat with feathers and black hair curled to the shoulders, in a red mantle and with long legs sticking out forward, as the French ride. This man galloped towards Balashev, shining and fluttering in the bright June sun with his feathers, stones and gold galloons.
Balashev was already at a distance of two horses from the rider galloping towards him with a solemnly theatrical face in bracelets, feathers, necklaces and gold, when Yulner, a French colonel, whispered respectfully: "Le roi de Naples." [King of Naples.] Indeed, it was Murat, now called the Neapolitan king. Although it was completely incomprehensible why he was a Neapolitan king, he was called that, and he himself was convinced of this and therefore had a more solemn and important air than before. He was so sure that he was really the king of Naples, that when, on the eve of his departure from Naples, during his walk with his wife through the streets of Naples, several Italians shouted to him: “Viva il re!”, [Long live the king! (Italian)] he turned to his wife with a sad smile and said: “Les malheureux, ils ne savent pas que je les quitte demain! [Unfortunate, they don't know that I'm leaving them tomorrow!]
But despite the fact that he firmly believed that he was a Neapolitan king, and that he regretted the sorrow of his subjects he left, in Lately, after he was ordered to enter the service again, and especially after a meeting with Napoleon in Danzig, when his august brother-in-law said to him: “Je vous ai fait Roi pour regner a maniere, mais pas a la votre”, [I made you king in order to reign not according to his own, but according to mine.] - he cheerfully set to work familiar to him and, like a horse that was corrugated, but not fat, fit for service, sensing himself in a harness, played in the shafts and, having discharged himself as colorfully as possible and more expensive, cheerful and contented, galloping, without knowing where or why, along the roads of Poland.
Seeing the Russian general, he royally, solemnly, threw back his head with his hair curled to his shoulders and looked inquiringly at the French colonel. The colonel respectfully conveyed to His Majesty the meaning of Balashev, whose name he could not pronounce.
    – De Bal macheve! - said the king (with his determination overcoming the difficulty presented to the colonel), - charme de faire votre connaissance, general, [it is very pleasant to meet you, general] - he added with a royally gracious gesture. As soon as the king began to speak loudly and quickly, all royal dignity instantly left him, and he, without noticing it himself, went into his usual tone of good-natured familiarity. He put his hand on the withers of Balashev's horse.
    - Eh, bien, general, tout est a la guerre, a ce qu "il parait, [Well, general, things seem to be going to war,] - he said, as if regretting a circumstance that he did not could judge.
    - Sire, - answered Balashev. - l "Empereur mon maitre ne desire point la guerre, et comme Votre Majeste le voit," said Balashev, using Votre Majeste in all cases, [The Emperor of Russia does not want her, as your majesty please see ... your majesty.] with the inevitable an affectation of the increasing frequency of the title, referring to a person for whom this title is still news.
Murat's face shone with stupid contentment while he listened to monsieur de Balachoff. But royaute oblige: [royalty has its duties:] he felt the need to speak with Alexander's envoy about state affairs, as king and ally. He dismounted from his horse and, taking Balashev by the arm and moving a few steps away from the reverently waiting retinue, began to walk back and forth with him, trying to speak significantly. He mentioned that Emperor Napoleon was offended by the demands for the withdrawal of troops from Prussia, especially now that this demand had become known to everyone and that the dignity of France was offended by this. Balashev said that there was nothing offensive in this demand, because ... Murat interrupted him:
“So you don’t think Emperor Alexander was the instigator?” he said unexpectedly with a good-natured stupid smile.
Balashev said why he really believed that Napoleon was the instigator of the war.
    - Eh, mon cher general, - Murat interrupted him again, - je desire de tout mon c?ur que les Empereurs s "arrangent entre eux, et que la guerre commencee malgre moi se termine le plutot possible, [Ah, my dear general, I wish with all my heart that the emperors end the matter between themselves and that the war started against my will end as soon as possible.] - he said in the tone of conversation of the servants who wish to remain good friends, despite the quarrel between the masters. And he went on to questions about the Grand Duke, about his health and about the memories of the fun and amusing time spent with him in Naples. Then, as if suddenly remembering his royal dignity, Murat solemnly straightened up, took the same position in which he stood at the coronation, and , waving his right hand, said: - Je ne vous retiens plus, general; je souhaite le succes de vorte mission, [I do not detain you anymore, general; I wish success to your embassy,] - and, fluttering with a red embroidered mantle and feathers and shining jewels, he went to the retinue, respectfully waiting for him.
Balashev rode on, according to Murat, expecting to be presented to Napoleon himself very soon. But instead of an early meeting with Napoleon, the sentries of the Davout infantry corps again detained him at the next village, as well as in the advanced chain, and the adjutant of the corps commander, called, escorted him to the village to Marshal Davout.

Davout was Arakcheev of Emperor Napoleon - Arakcheev is not a coward, but just as serviceable, cruel and incapable of expressing his devotion except by cruelty.
The mechanism of the state organism needs these people, just as wolves are needed in the organism of nature, and they always exist, always appear and hold on, no matter how incongruous their presence and proximity to the head of government may seem. Only this necessity can explain how the cruel, who personally tore out the mustaches of the grenadiers and who, due to his weakness, could not endure the danger, the uneducated, uncourt Arakcheev, could remain in such strength with the chivalrously noble and gentle character of Alexander.
Balashev found Marshal Davout in the barn of a peasant's hut, sitting on a barrel and busy with written work (he checked the scores). The adjutant stood beside him. It was possible to find a better place, but Marshal Davout was one of those people who deliberately put themselves in the most gloomy conditions of life in order to have the right to be gloomy. For the same reason they are always hastily and stubbornly busy. “Where is there to think about the happy side of human life when, you see, I’m sitting on a barrel in a dirty barn and working,” his expression said. The main pleasure and need of these people is that, having met the revival of life, to throw this revival into the eyes of my gloomy, stubborn activity. Davout gave himself this pleasure when Balashev was brought in. He went even deeper into his work when the Russian general entered, and, looking through his glasses at Balashev's animated face, impressed by the beautiful morning and the conversation with Murat, he did not get up, did not even move, but frowned even more and grinned maliciously.
Noticing the unpleasant impression made by this technique on Balashev's face, Davout raised his head and coldly asked what he needed.
Assuming that such a reception could only be made to him because Davout did not know that he was the adjutant general of Emperor Alexander and even his representative before Napoleon, Balashev hastened to announce his rank and appointment. Contrary to his expectations, Davout, after listening to Balashev, became even more severe and rude.
    - Where is your package? - he said. - Donnez le moi, ije l "enverrai a l" Empereur. [Give it to me, I will send it to the emperor.]
Balashev said that he had an order to personally deliver the package to the emperor himself.
“The orders of your emperor are carried out in your army, but here,” Davout said, “you must do what you are told.
And as if to make the Russian general even more aware of his dependence on brute force, Davout sent an adjutant for the duty officer.
Balashev took out a package that concluded the letter of the sovereign, and put it on the table (a table consisting of a door on which torn-off hinges stuck out, laid on two barrels). Davout took the envelope and read the inscription.
“You have every right to respect me or not,” said Balashev. “But let me tell you that I have the honor of holding the rank of Adjutant General of His Majesty…”
Davout looked at him in silence, and some excitement and embarrassment, expressed on Balashev's face, apparently gave him pleasure.
“You will be given your due,” he said, and putting the envelope in his pocket, he left the barn.
A minute later, the adjutant of the marshal, Mr. de Castres, entered and led Balashev into the room prepared for him.
Balashev dined that day with the marshal in the same shed, on the same board on barrels.
The next day, Davout left early in the morning and, having invited Balashev to his place, told him impressively that he asked him to stay here, to move along with the luggage, if they had orders to do so, and not to talk to anyone except Monsieur de Castro.
After four days of solitude, boredom, a consciousness of subservience and insignificance, especially palpable after the environment of power in which he had so recently found himself, after several crossings along with the marshal's luggage, with French troops occupying the entire area, Balashev was brought to Vilna, now occupied by the French , to the same outpost on which he left four days ago.

At the moment, the best among Russian biathletes, a key element of the team, able to compete for awards in almost any discipline. In addition to prizes for two recent championships world has not only the experience of performing at the Olympic Games, but also a bronze medal received for third place in the relay race. From the point of view of personal success, Vancouver Shipulin failed, but now there are all prerequisites for Anton to fight for personal medals in Sochi.
    Age: 26 years old.
Titles: bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Vancouver, four-time medalist of the world championships.
Results at the World Cup - 2013/14: eighth place in the overall standings. In Annecy, he finished third in the pursuit. Three times climbed to the podium in the relay.
Olympic experience: five races in Vancouver 2010. Third place in the relay four. Best personal result - 20th place in the pursuit.
Chances of winning: mass start - 20 percent.

    Evgeny Ustyugov
The only Olympic champion in the Russian men's biathlon team is quite capable of again leading the partners behind him - to new heights. Outstanding speed, high shooting accuracy, and most importantly - complete self-confidence, which is extremely important at the Olympics, will help Evgeny succeed in Sochi. Of course, Ustyugov is one of the representatives of the relay quartet, but he will also claim victory in individual races.
    Age: 28 years old.
Titles: Olympic champion and bronze medalist of the Vancouver Games. Two-time world vice-champion.
Strongest disciplines: mass start, sprint, pursuit.
Results at the World Cup - 2013/14: ninth place in the overall standings. Third place in the individual race at the stage in Ruhpolding. Two bronze relay medals.
Olympic experience: five races in Vancouver 2010. First place in the mass start and third in the relay. He also finished fourth in the individual race.
Chances of winning: mass start - 15 percent.

    Dmitry Malyshko
Dmitry a couple of years ago burst into the Russian biathlon team like a whirlwind and immediately began to amaze everyone with outstanding results. Last season, he became the absolute winner of the Oberhof World Cup stage, and in just two years he climbed the podium five times in personal races. Dmitry's recipe for success is based on a very high speed - at a distance Malyshko is not inferior to anyone. And if in Sochi he manages to work well at the shooting range, then he won’t have to wait long for high places.
    Age: 26 years old.
Titles: silver medalist of the European Championship in the relay. Winner of 12 World Cup awards.
    Strongest disciplines: mass start, pursuit.
Results at the World Cup - 2013/14: 11th place in the overall standings. Best personal result - 4th place in the sprint in Annecy. Two bronze medals in relay races.
    Olympic experience: no.

    Alexey Volkov
Alexei began to be regularly involved in the main team of the country immediately after the Olympic Games in Vancouver. Most often, he had to support relay teams, and for the time being Volkov did not achieve personal success at the world level. The most accurate and quick-firing Russian biathlete could not keep the advantage earned on the firing line on the track. However, when Volkov added a little bit of speed, he immediately won two personal medals. It happened just before the Olympics, so there is hope that Alexei will compete for awards in Sochi.
    Age: 25 years old.
Titles: four-time European champion, winner of eight World Cup awards.
    Strongest disciplines: pursuit, individual race.
Results at the World Cup - 2013/14: 12th place in the overall standings. Two second places - mass start in Oberhof and individual race in Ruhpolding. Two third places in the relay quartet.
    Olympic experience: no.
Chances of winning: individual race - 5 percent.

    Evgeny Garanichev
Evgeny is one of the fastest Russian biathletes with perfect skiing technique. When he is in good shape, it is very difficult to catch up with him. The risk factor is unstable shooting. However, if Garanichev manages to control his nerves on the firing line, the result could be truly amazing. A striking example of this is the recent pursuit in Ruhpolding, in which Evgeny made an impressive breakthrough to the bronze medal.
    Age: 25 years old.
Titles: three-time winner of the Universiade in Erzurum, 11-time winner of the World Cups.
World Cup results - 2013/14: 29th overall. Bronze medal in Ruhpolding pursuit. Victory in the relay four.
    Olympic experience: no.
Chances of winning: sprint - 5 percent.

    Alexander Loginov
The youngest, but very promising biathlete in the Russian national team. One of the few of our athletes who this season has not yet managed to climb the podium in individual races, but he and his comrades celebrated the victory in the relay. It has good speed and amazing psychological stability. Let's hope that these qualities will allow yesterday's junior not to get lost in his first Olympic Games.
    Age: 21 years old.
Titles: four-time world champion among juniors, winner of three awards at the World Cup stages.
    Strongest disciplines: individual race, sprint.
Results at the World Cup - 2013/14: 22nd place in the overall standings. The best personal result - 6th place in the pursuit race in Annecy, where he also became the winner in the team race.
    Olympic experience: no.
Chances of winning: any race - 5 percent.

    Irina Starykh
The opening of the current season for Russian fans, of course, was Irina Starykh. Her debut at the World Cup took place almost a year ago in Holmenkollen, but Irina reached the highest level in the pre-Olympic season. The athlete twice climbed the podium, which she could only dream of a couple of years ago, and, in addition, helped the national team win the relay in Ruhpolding. Key member of the team at the Sochi Olympics.
    Age: 26 years old.
Titles: European champion, winner of the Universiade, winner of three awards at the World Cup stages.
    Strongest disciplines: sprint, pursuit.
Results at the World Cup - 2013/14: 6th place in the overall standings. Silver medal in the pursuit race in Annecy, bronze in the sprint in Hochfilzen. Victory in the relay team in Ruhpolding.
    Olympic experience: no.
Chances of winning: Pursuit - 10 percent.

    Olga Vilukhina
Olga Vilukhina also goes to her first Olympics. The slogan "The main thing is not victory, but participation" is clearly not about Olga, who, of course, will fight for victory in every race. Undoubtedly, Vilukhina's main medal hopes are connected with the relay, however, in individual races, Olga, with a successful set of circumstances, may well compete for a medal, and two fifth places during the season are direct proof of this.
    Age: 25 years old.
Titles: bronze medalist in the pursuit at the World Championships in Ruhpolding. Absolute European champion among juniors in Ufa.
    Strongest disciplines: sprint, pursuit.
Results at the World Cup - 2013/14: 12th place in the overall standings. The best personal result - fifth place at the stages in Annecy and Oberhof. Relay winner.
    Olympic experience: no.
Chances of winning: Pursuit - 5 percent.

    Olga Zaitseva
The favorite of all Russian fans, the permanent leader of the Russian team in recent years, is sent to his fourth Olympics. Olga's debut at competitions of such a high level took place back in 2002 in Salt Lake City. A lot of time has passed since then, Zaitseva managed to become a two-time Olympic champion and a three-time world champion, and I would like to believe that the list of titles of the famous Russian woman will be replenished at the home Olympics.
    Age: 35 years old.
Titles: two-time Olympic champion in the relay, winner of the silver medal of the Vancouver Games for second place in the mass start. Three-time world champion.
    Strongest disciplines: individual race, pursuit.
World Cup results - 2013/14: 27th overall. Silver in the sprint at the first stage of the World Cup, gold in the relay in Ruhpolding.
Olympic Experience: Salt Lake City Individual - 37th. Four races at the Games in Turin. The best personal result - 9th place, won as part of the relay team. Five races in Vancouver 2010. Gold in the relay four, silver medal in the mass start. She was seventh in sprint and pursuit.
Chances of winning: individual race - 10 percent.

    Ekaterina Shumilova
Over the past three years, Ekaterina has worked tirelessly to go to the Olympic Games, and she has achieved her goal. The results of the biathlete were systematically going up, and one can hope that at the Olympics Ekaterina will be able to compete at a high level. Nevertheless, in the individual races, Shumilova will have a hard time, despite the fact that she scored good shape to competitions in Sochi and recently showed the best result in her career - sixth place.
    Age: 27 years old.
Titles: winner of three awards at the European Championships, two-time European champion among juniors.
Results at the World Cup - 2013/14: 30th place in the overall standings. The best personal result - the sixth place in the pursuit race at the World Cup in Hochfilzen.
    Olympic experience: no.

    Yana Romanova
The only athlete, besides Olga Zaitseva, who has experience of performing at the Olympic Games. In Vancouver, Yana got a chance to prove herself in the individual race, but she was only 56th. The issue of Romanova’s trip to the Olympics was not easily resolved, however, with her performances at the pre-Olympic stages of the World Cup and the excellent form, the athlete convinced the coaching staff of her own need in Sochi.
    Age: 30 years old.
Titles: winner of three awards at the World Cup stages, two-time winner of the European Championship, bronze medalist of the Universiade in Turin.
Strongest disciplines: individual race, mass start.
Results at the World Cup - 2013/14: 28th place in the overall standings. The best personal result - the fifth place in the sprint at the pre-Olympic stage of the World Cup.
Olympic experience: Vancouver 2010 individual, 56th.
Chances of winning: close to zero.

    Ekaterina Glazyrina
An important component of the relay four of the Russian team won gold in Ruhpolding with teammates and, most likely, will try to repeat the same at the home Olympics in Sochi. Unfortunately, Glazyrina does not perform very well in personal races, her the best result at the moment is a modest 25th place in the pursuit at the French stage.
    Age: 26 years old.
Titles: Winner of six World Cup awards and two European Championship awards.
    Strongest disciplines: pursuit.
Results at the World Cup - 2013/14: 68th place in the overall standings. The best personal result - 25th place in the pursuit at the World Cup in Annecy.
    Olympic experience: no.
Chances of winning: close to zero.

In all individual disciplines, women have at least 8-10 athletes who are able to prevent our girls from winning medals, men have 4-6. Hope is only for a coincidence, but a good dozen athletes from other countries also hope for a chance, so don’t worry, mother.
To this we will add a negative attitude towards our athletes from the world biathlon community due to the fact that out of a hundred athletes, three were caught doping, of which two are ours, and Yuryeva, for the inclusion of which so many copies were broken in the national team, again.
More or less real hopes for both men and women for the relay. Lose this hope - it would be simply criminal.

The general forecast of TS: The chance to win a medal in individual disciplines - Shipulin - 20%, Ustyugov - 15%, Malyshko - 10%, Volkov, Garanichev, Loginov 5% each.
The squad for the sprint has just been determined: Ustyugov, Malyshko, Shipulin and Garanichev. To the above assessment of TS I would like to add the results of the individual. races at the 5th stage of the World Cup. (The 6th stage is not indicative - many did not compete): Ustyugov - 3rd, Malyshko - 6th, Shipulin - 20th, Garanichev -11th. Well, what can I say? There is still a chance for a medal, but ...

Today the composition of the women's team for the Sprint has been determined - the general forecast of TS: Zaitseva -10%, Vilukhina - 5%, Shumilova and Romanova - 0%, unfortunately, there is nothing to add to this forecast.

Crazy bear, I'm one of those especially gifted ones. Who said that in Oberkhove there was a final selection? Had a dream? I would love to hear your comment about the 2x Ruphpolding Pursuit (KM and IBU) Thanks in advance

A mad bear, and I would love to look at the next OI Yuriev and Sleptsova. Of course, if they show not the current level, but the Russian top 4 and top 15 KM. Biathletes with surnames do not leave indifferent. Places of the national team from the fifth and below, rather, "for growth" and at the discretion of the head coach of the women's team.

At the discretion, because in the lower places the tool - "rules and criteria" - is too inaccurate. This managerial invention will never replace a talented, professional coach. Young athletes are very unstable and formal indicators are clearly insufficient. (The problem with coaches cannot be avoided this way.)

Age is not a disadvantage or dignity of an athlete, but a circumstance. Of the list of young girls you have given, most of them will remain promising. And not because of the “overlapping of oxygen”, but simply because the world works: there are many promising ones - just a few justify the hopes.

    Already Pushkin came to life:

    =
Everything is clear here, if you read the conditions for selection for the Olympiad.
There are not 3 coaching decisions, but all 7. True, there was a limitation: the choice was only from those who ran in January at the KM or KIBA.

    Boris,
probably, for this reason, Glazyrina was sent to Moscow for examination by the luminary Arkhipov, so that the injured athlete would not get to the OI. Do you have reason not to trust the outstanding doctor? To tell the truth, for Glazyrina and I am anxious. Even if the minimum time, but dropped out of targeted training in full. But we don't have any information at all to talk about it.

ECHO (N) -And now it's all the same: -P, who exactly will be responsible?
Yes, ask there in the e-office, is it possible to include an injured athlete to participate in the Olympic Games?
The Olympic Charter says that all athletes must be healthy...etc.

    Pushkin came to life
according to nominal results, yes, in the first two * y * Yu * r * b * e * v * o * d, the result was better, but 54th place is a failure and, as shown by Hochfilzen and Oberhof, not accidental, from which no one insured.
And I do not have an infinite amount of time for empty bickering. I am interested in constructive reasoned exchanges of views.
If you are wondering when and how you can reach your optimal form, read at your leisure about the different cycles in the structure of a year of training.

Tren. they gave the decision to Zaitseva and Shumilova. And well, yes, they can do 3 training. solutions. Why was the selection needed, and the starts in general? And what “side”, well, it’s not clear at all. (About Glazyrina)

    Boris,
Glazyrina in the team is not “it is not clear what side she turned out to be”, but a coaching decision, to which they had the right and should be responsible for it.

Yuryev is clearly visible from your entry - better. What is so bad specifically in the recession in mid-December, it is not clear. Why can't a rise come after a fall? Which she (KYU) “in any case” was not allowed to show. Yes, and psychologically suppressed this rise as much as possible.
Do rivals that there is no recession?

    Pushkin came to life
    Yes please:
    Yuryev: 4; 7; 54
    Romanov: 33; 28; thirteen.
Even for three races, as you wanted, you can determine that one has an upward trend, the other has a sharp decline

For some reason, the SBR can be slandered. I do not refuse my words, I just wrote the course of the November races, and you pulled out the name of Romanova from there and began to compare. I repeat, I am not opposed to it. Yes, and biathlon is not skiing, how many times to repeat?

    Pushkin came to life
You don’t respect yourself so much that you refuse your own words: “... why do you stubbornly believe that Yuryeva cannot reach her November speed, which was better than Shumilova, Glazyrina, Romanova”

    Boris,
stop slander! Do you have the results of doping tests A and B? Are you aware that defamation is a criminal offense?

In November, Yuryeva ran CM, not the second tier, and it was not bad

ECHO (N) -And now it doesn't matter: -R, well, Romanova, if there was no "fuel", reached the peak of her form. What will she do in Sochi? Or the most important thing for a pichler is that his wards get to the Olympic Games, and at least the grass does not grow there.
Now we are talking about Glazyrina, who is not at all clear how she ended up in the national team, and even at the base.

    Pushkin came to life
Can, of course, but and have rivals -, too,. And these rivals are not Catherine Hitzer, and even more so not the second composition of KIBU. The first one was called to Antholz, if they noticed.

Why can't rise come after recession? In general, I didn’t say anything against Romanova, and I don’t have anything. I have stated the facts. And why did you answer about Romanova, did any of the poems hook you?
In my opinion, the results of Glazyrina are much clearer than 20 points in 11 races
Why can't you compare after 3 races (Yuriev and Romanov)

    Pushkin came to life
“If Yuryeva had more starts and full-time rivalry with them, then I would understand and support you.”
    -----

Even being at the peak of her form in November, Yurva was only 8 seconds faster than Romanova in the sprint on the track.
Only then Romanova gradually progressed, and Yuryeva had a sharp decline.

And as for the number of races, Romanova still has only 9 personal races, and after Oberhof (excluding M S, where Yuryeva did not get) Romanova after 5 races had 105 points in the total, and Yuryeva after 6 - 83. Fairly clear results of full-time confrontation.

Irina, please tell us about your new dream, how Yurieva was given a ride because she refused to take vitamins. It seems to me that she will perform normally at the IBU and with Katya Yurlova they can overtake many.

Crazy bear, it's useless to argue with you, but the numbers are on the scoreboard, Glazyrina is 68th in the total with 20 points (7 races), Yuryeva is 40th from 83rd (6 races). Even Nechkasova scored 10 points in two races, and you are still doing garbage, juggling the facts.

    mad bear,

Damn, why are you so bad with logic! Well, why do you take the best races from Glazyrina and the worst from Yuryeva! Take the number of points in the total from one and the other, maybe then it will become clear? And this despite the fact that Yuryeva performed less. Yes, just look at the statistics of places. Although ... if a person rests with his horns, you can’t move him from his place ...

Already Pushkin came to life, Brad, and poetically illiterate, you write.

Of course, Yuryeva could (apparently could not) improve her speed somewhat. But... It had to be done when there was a selection. In Oberhof! And that's when she hopelessly leaked. Feet in pursuit for 1.5 - 2 minutes from Shumilova and Romanova. After that, the train left.

Crazy bear write nonsense, speed varies among biathletes during the season, why do you stubbornly believe that Yuryeva cannot reach her November speed, which was better than Shumilova, Glazyrina, Romanova, who now may lose their speed by February. If Yurieva had more starts and full-time rivalry with them, then I would understand and support you. And now their advantages are not visible at close range, no matter what you write.

    Thoughts on Russian women's biathlon

    Oh how hard I fell
And I even broke the bed!
Shoulder - in place, but it hurts
And how can I go to the Olympics?

Now in a corset and in a splint,
But even in the chair I'll be
    And still OI - mine!

Having corrected all the principles of selection,
We will be in Sochi very soon.
And extra, and we have skis
And the lubricant has already been selected for a year,
    And conscience somewhere lost
    Don't worry gentlemen
    We'll fix it all
    As always!

And we don't need "Ray of Light"
We are all very "friends" here,
"To zero" we do not need to shoot,
    We will unhook those!

    I am a biathlon queen
    I don't like this girl
    Shoots better
    Suddenly overtake?
    Do not contact her anymore.

We thought of everything in detail
    And how to substitute naturally,
    Criteria, selection - bullshit!
Do not be offended at me.

Did you write a letter there?
Yes, we all took a shit on him!
    We will create chaos
    And who can stop us?

And then came the Minister of Sports,
    All looked
    Studied everything
And part of the composition has changed!

Irina, Why should they be head and shoulders stronger than Yuryeva? Isn't it enough that they're just stronger?

Again. Glazyrina on "Izhevka" with her feet was noticeably better than both Romanova and Shumilova. And Romanova and Shumilova in the trash, tore Yuryeva where she was supposed to win against them - in Oberhof.

In the sprint, she lost them 30-40 seconds with her feet, in the pursuit 1.5 - 2 minutes. Voila!

Maybe she didn’t have to come with everyone from the new year, but how did she agree with Korolkevich a week earlier? Acclimatize, take a closer look, practice.

After that, you can at least get caught on the podiums at the KIBU stages (especially if there is practically no one with the CM), there's nothing to be done. The Olympic train said: "Too-too!"

Last time. For the especially gifted. At the main qualifying start for herself, her competitors in the national team (Romanova and Shumilova), at a distance even shorter than the individual, Yuryeva lost one and a half - two minutes with a move. Naturally, there can be no talk of getting into any other stages after this, and even more so the Olympics. Doroga spoon for dinner.

and you name at least one person from those who are now in the team (with the possible exception of the Old) and those who claim to get into it - which of them is head and shoulders above Yuryeva? Zaitsev? We've all seen the shape she's in. Shumilov? God forbid if it jumps into the top ten at least once. Or maybe Glazyrina? Of the young, only Kaisheva can show something. All the rest barely crawl even to the IBU Cup. Alas, we do not yet have a worthy change in the women's biathlon and are not expected. But don't talk about syrup: we all know how such things are done. I wouldn’t be surprised if Yuryeva was now given a ride precisely because, having learned from bitter experience, she refused to follow the lead of those who force them to consume these vitamins. Or do you naively believe that that trio took doping of their own free will? If she accepted, of course, there were so many muddy and incomprehensible things there ... In any other country, their athletes would be protected, but not here. There were so many violations with these samples!

when you calm down, what the fuck are you fans of RUSSIA, I won’t do it for that, they are all our athletes, don’t root for Pichler, Prokhorov, E-headquarters, and the athletes have something to do with it, they are to blame for getting on oi, bullshit

steff85, Romanova drinks Pichler syrup, it is without additives (cases have not been recorded). They either run away from him quickly (Forsberg, Zidek, Ekholm), or they run away - Vilukhina. Although maybe she just got tired of cooking borscht. Maybe he (syrup) is too bitter, but ours are not used to it. The Swedes complained, but the results showed. Ours may have a different mentality, it’s already good for the national team, it’s excellent for getting into the top ten. Well, let's hope for the best.

This means that respected fans are ready to accuse Romanov and other objectionable teams in advance without any reason, so to speak, blatantly, of using illegal drugs. And Yuryeva was not only forgiven for the same thing, but she was also elevated to the rank of martyr and sufferer. What a mess, disgusting from such ardent "fans" of biathlon

Igor, it was Romanova who ran into fifth place once in a five-year period, and whether she is under syrup or not, we will find out at the Olympic Games.

Elena, Katyusha can only please with victories in the IBU Cup. At the stages of the World Cup, Kaisa, Tura, Dasha, Gaby can please (their fans) ... Yuryeva in best years(under syrup) did not differ in speed, now it can once a year, under a combination of circumstances, run into the top five. She ran this year. You can take her to the national team, she will please like the rest of the 20-60th places.

Alexander, I completely agree and subscribe to every word!

Mad Bear, why so! No one needs to be kept for old merits! But if Katya is stronger than the young ones, then why will she have to be removed for the sake of these young people? Everything should be fair and there is no need to drag anyone into the national team by the ears, you yourself know what this leads to, Sleptsova is a vivid example of this. Who is stronger is the one in the team! And it shouldn't be any other way! I believe that Katyusha is a strong person, will withstand all difficult trials with honor and will still please us, the fans, with her victories!

ElenaDar, Nadenka, Oksana, Sasha, What is the next Olympiad for Yuryeva and Sleptsova?

By the next Olympiad, Kaisheva, Ilchenko, Mironova will be 24 years old (or almost). But there are also older ones: Nechkasova, Nikulina, Suraeva. But Virolainen, in my opinion, should also progress both with his feet and in shooting. And this is not all, but the first who came to mind. But, after all, it’s a sin for Vilukhina to leave the Old Ones before the next Olympiad.

And you expect that Yuryeva (and Sleptsova) for old merits will be kept in the national team until the next Olympiad. But then all this galaxy of young and talented biathletes will have to run for other teams. And of course, win three tram stops at Sleptsova and Yuryeva.

In general, this will not happen. Both Yuryeva and Sleptsova will say goodbye to biathlon at the end of this season. If not, honor and praise be to them. Let them run in the Russian Cup with Denisova. But it is not necessary to drag them to the national team. There *** change of generations. Life cannot be turned back. site

    Lord, where are you?

Alexander, I completely agree. Katya "... she's already a winner." I even agree that she advocated for another country, if only she would not leave.

Sasha, maybe it's for the best. Good luck to Katya and future victories!

Sasha, if she starts preparing right now, then for the next Olympics there is a high probability of seeing her in her previous form. An interesting and strong squad may form there if Sleptsova also recovers.

Oksana, I agree I will have to put a bullet point at the next Olympics, it's a pity, I think Katya was ready to do everything this year.

Sasha I don't know. Maybe you need to register on Sportbox.

Alexander, you're right. I subscribe to every word.

Sasha, I agree. it may well run off another four-year-old. if they do, of course...

Oksana, I hope this will not happen, not all the words have been said yet ...

Katya was going to end her sports career after the games in Sochi

Alexander, I hope that Katya will please us with performances for Russia, and not for the CIS.

Is it the coach who did not find a way to repay the contradictions with Yuryeva three months before the Olympics. Did she commit a crime? If yes, then tell us and we will draw a conclusion. If not, then your behavior and statements deserve the attention of the journalists of "Man and Law" because you have made thousands of fans deaf, blind, unable to read, count, analyze, etc. over the past two months. By the way, it is strange that there was not a single journalist who would conduct an independent journalistic investigation about the situation in the women's team and the selection process for the Olympics. In front of the eyes of the whole of Russia, the world champion was spread rot, in the end, a woman who, with her work and results, earned the right, according to the selection criteria, to be part of the national team at the Olympic Games. It's a shame that the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation took the position of temporary workers and show journalists commentators (there the house burned down, he danced, he sang, but there was silence about the problems in the selection). Or maybe it was necessary to descend from the heights in a timely manner, meet with Katya and extinguish the conflict? Or weak? But Yuryeva did not give up, she fought until the last day with more than one dozen officials for honesty and justice. In fact: having the right to be selected on equal terms, with candidates for the Russian women's team according to the selection criteria approved by the RRF for the Olympic Games, was deprived of these rights by a handful of coaches and in this situation, fulfilling its obligations to millions of fans to the end, showed its moral and volitional qualities and results allowing to be in the Olympic team, did not receive recognition and support from the leaders of sports in Russia. These are the people who are hired by us (taxpayers-fans) to honestly represent our interests in big sport. In this situation, this quality has been lost among sports officials. But just three months ago in Moscow, in the building of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, a FIFA-Interpol seminar “For Integrity in Sports” was held. The Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation also spoke there and advocated honesty in football, but can there be a separate honesty in football, basketball, biathlon, etc. in sports? At the same seminar, the Chairman of the Committee on physical education and Sports of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, who emphasized the relevance of the topic of combating negative phenomena in Russian sports in the light of the holding of a large number of international competitions in the country in the coming years. And since three months was not enough to hold a similar seminar “For Honesty in Sports” with representatives of the RBU, although the information (an open letter from fans, comments on articles on the Internet, interviews of world and Olympic champions) was received by the Ministry of Sports, I would like to hope that in hot pursuit of the Olympic Games, the above-mentioned Ministry will pay attention to this issue. To poison the best shooter of the women's national team, which has the best performance in the IG, on the eve of the Olympic Games, who deserved to participate in the Olympic Games in an unequal struggle, and not to include her in the main team at the Olympic Games, to put it mildly, is immoral ... Time will tell ... There were two chances for prizes, but with such a composition only Vilukhina remains. As for Katya, she is already a winner. I believe that playing for the team of any other country, she will succeed more than once. Good luck Russian Katyusha!

Ida, I just tried to ask Mutko a question on the links in the net about the selections for the women's team, I did not succeed, do you know how to do this?

For those who are not yet in the know: live broadcast with the Minister of Sports V. Mutko - link: news.sportbox.ru

I support) and I’m more than sure that all those who shouted loudest “I won’t watch” will just watch) some from under the covers with one eye, some from the toilet peeping, and some with both eyes in front of the screen, because no one will sleep

Enough discussions, the guys are getting ready for the Olympics, they need to be supported, and we will cheer for our athletes so that they perform well, good luck to them, and we will support all of them, both girls and guys, we will watch broadcasts, be present at the stadiums, we will worry and hope, we will rejoice at victories and grieve at defeats, because we are Russia and we will root for RUSSIA at the Olympic Games

ECHO (N) -And now it's all the same: -P, maybe we'll start remembering the victories of Yuryeva, Zaitseva, Sleptsova, Bulygina? We're talking about this season. Even SS was stronger than Glazyrina until she went offline.

    Biathlon

The history of the appearance of biathlon is rooted in the life of primitive people who lived in the northern regions. The proof of this is the cave paintings depicting little men standing like skis with weapons in their hands. Subsequently, the combination of gun shooting and skiing came to be seen as a sporting hobby. And in its further development, it was called biathlon.

In 1958, biathletes held the first world championship in Austria, it was for them a start to the big arena. And two years later, in 1960, it was included in the VIII Winter Olympic Games.

On the territory of Russia, biathlon began to develop in the early 20th century. Its wide distribution began with the ranks of the Red Army in the 20-30s of the last century. The soldiers, dressed according to all the rules of army equipment, traveled a distance of 50 km and overcame various obstacles on their way.

In 1964, in Innsbruck, at the IX Winter Olympic Games, for the first time a Soviet athlete, Vladimir Melanin, won a gold medal in this sport, in a 20 km race. This was a huge impetus for the further development of biathlon in Russia. Vladimir Melanin was well prepared, before participating in the Olympics, he became the world champion in this sport three times.

In 1992 Albertville (France) hosted the third, XVI Winter Olympic Games. Here, for the first time in the history of the existence of a biathlon sport, women's biathlon was included. To participate in the Olympics, Russia introduced the athlete Anfisa Reztsova, she was a three-time world champion in cross-country skiing and a two-time winner of the Biathlon World Cup. Reztsova, became the first Olympic champion at a distance of 7.5 km. Until today, at the Olympic Games, the biathlon team of Russia, the USSR and the CIS has won 18 times, 8 of them in the relay.

Types of sports disciplines of biathlon

V winter Olympics 2014 included five types of biathlon competitions for women and five for men, these are Mass Start and Relay, Mixed Relay, Individual, Pursuit and Sprint.

The individual race is a classic discipline in biathlon and belongs to the category of the most difficult. Due to the fact that the shooting distance for men is 20 km, for women it is 15 km. Competitors start separately, with an interval of 30 seconds to 1 minute. The participant must overcome 4 firing lines of 5 targets each, firing shots alternately from a prone and standing position. The first and third shots are fired from a prone position, the second and fourth shots are fired from a standing position. The participant of the competition has the right to choose a target at his own discretion. In case of a miss, the biathlete is added 1 penalty minute.

Sprint is a kind of biathlon short-distance race. Athletes cover a distance of 10 km. for men and 7.5 km. among women. The task of biathletes is to go through 3 circles of various lengths. After the athlete passes the first round, shooting is performed from a prone position, after the second - standing. In case of a miss, the athlete is added one lap of 150 m.

The pursuit race, in some of its parts, is a young discipline that is undeniably related to the sprint. Biathletes start with the backlog with which they came to the finish line in the sprint competition. The standard distance for men is 12.5 km, for women - 10 km. Athletes go through five laps. They are entitled to 4 shots, two from the prone position and two from the standing position. In case of a miss, the competitor receives a penalty loop of 150 km.

Race with a mass start, entered the biathlon program in 1997. All participants in this competition start at the same time. The distance of the race for men is 15 km and 12.5 km for women. The race consists of five laps, the biathlete is given the opportunity of four shots, two from the prone position and two from the standing position. The mass start race is attended by 30 of the best athletes who have received the highest points in the overall standings. Participants of the competition take places in accordance with the order of arrival at the shooting range. In case of a miss, the athlete is added one penalty loop 150m long. The winner is the participant who first crossed the finish line, taking into account penalty loops.

In the relay, the national team of each of the participating countries exposes 4 representatives. Passing his section of the site, the athlete passes the baton to a partner. Each participant of the competition passes two firing lines, the length of the distance for men is 7.5 km for and 6 km for women. The first shooting is from a prone position, the second from a standing position. The competition starts with a mass start. According to the rules of the competition, the participant is given the opportunity to shoot with 8 rounds, i.e. unlike individual races, the athlete has three spare cartridges, which, in case of a miss, he has the right to use. If, after using three spare cartridges, the biathlete has unhit targets, he is added the same number of penalty loops.

The mixed relay is a team competition in a race. Each team has 4 representatives of one country. The team consists of 2 females and 2 males. In the first and second stages of 6 km. women pass, in the third and fourth, men pass 7.5 km each. The competition takes place in pairs: Woman - Woman, Man - Man. Each participant of the competition passes two firing lines: the first - lying down, the second - standing. As in the simple relay, athletes are given three spare cartridges, which they can use in case of misses. If, after using spare cartridges, the participants of the competition have uncovered targets, they are awarded penalty circles according to their number.

The Russian men's four won for the first time Olympic gold in biathlon. The last time the USSR national team climbed to the highest step of the podium was in 1988. Dmitry Vasilyev, Sergey Chepikov, Alexander Popov and Valery Medvedtsev brought victory to their team. Since then, the men's team of the CIS / Russia won silver in the biathlon relay three times, and took bronze at the previous Olympics - but all these years they only dreamed of victories. And so , and managed to reach the gold medals at the home Olympics.

    - Excellent marksman. He stood out for his rate of fire and accuracy even at a junior age, which earned him the affectionate nickname Alyoshenka the Shooter from the fans. And although it is believed that it is the individual race that is ideal for shooters, Volkov did not immediately develop relations with this discipline. For the first time he loudly declared himself at the Russian Championship - 2009, where he became the second in the sprint. This allowed him to get into the national team in the first adult season. However, Volkov's path to the Vancouver Olympics ended where he began. In the cold Swedish Östersund, the debutant took 74th place and left the national team until the end of the season. Unlike Volkov, his principal rival in juniors is Tarja Boe- not only got into the national team, but also became the Olympic champion in the relay. For a young Russian, this was a serious blow to pride.

Alexey is physically not as gifted as a blond Norwegian, but he is not deprived of ingenuity, the ability to analyze and work on his mistakes. Alexey soon noticed that he was running up too late and was gaining form only by February-March. Hence, he has an abundance of awards at the European Championship and the Russian Championship, but at the same time, December for Volkov from year to year became a stumbling block. Having spent as an alternate the home championship in Khanty-Mansiysk-2011 and the championship in Ruhpolding a year later, he finally made his debut at the main world forum in Nove Mesto. The 15th result is not bad for a debut. He was achieved in the individual race, which, according to coaches and experts, suits Volkov to a greater extent.

They focused on it in preparation for the Olympics, and therefore allowed Alexei to gradually get in shape in December, and at the January German stages he scored two podiums with clean shooting. When we talked with Volkov, after his first top-level pedestal in his career, Boe, who passed by (he then lost the fight for second place to Alexei), patted him on the shoulder and said: “You are a great shooter.” Another Khanty-Mansi biathlete could have been awarded such an epithet - Evgenia Redkina, which, thanks to its accuracy in 1992, became the Olympic champion in the individual race. However, Volkov failed the individual race, taking 64th place with four misses - but at the starting stage of the relay he used only two additional cartridges and eventually won the gold of the Olympics.

Junior World Champion Evgeny Ustyugov I had to make my debut in the national team at the most inopportune moment. On the eve of the 2009 World Cup in Korea, the largest Russian history a doping scandal in which our team lost three fighters of the main team at once. The men's relay was under attack, in which only two members of the famous Golden Four remained. Vladimir Alikin (Dmitry Yaroshenko was disqualified and Nikolai Kruglov went home). Young Ustyugov had to plug the hole in the first stage. The first pancake turned out not just a lump, but a real mess - 15th place and the loss of almost all the team's medal chances. Such a debut world championship would break at least someone, but not Evgeny.

In a stressful Olympic season, health problems began with the team leader of recent years Maxim Chudova. In such a situation, it was extremely difficult for the men's team to count on the first gold since 1994. Eugene, of course, progressed, but few expected that his growth would be so rapid. It all started with an enchanting victory in Oberhof, and ended with another victory and two podiums. Ustyugov went to the Olympics already in the rank of one of the leaders of the World Cup and medal hope, but how many such early and daring ones broke off their fragile teeth at the main starts. The course of the Olympics for the Russians inspired less and less optimism every day. Until the last four starts, there were no medals in the piggy bank of the Russian team, and the overall performance of the Russians at the Games was not very pleasing. At such a difficult moment, Ustyugov for the first time passed four mass start lines without a miss, and on the finish lap he managed to escape from the formidable Martin Fourcade. Russian biathlon found a new hero and saved its honor, and Ustyugov entered the prestigious Zero club, which includes world champions and Olympic champions who won individual races with perfect shooting.

On the eve of the new Olympics, Ustyugov remains one of our hopes for salvation, although he did not spend the Olympic cycle very brightly. Experts believe that the Sochi track is perfect for him, where he finished second last year. During the season, Evgeny missed individual starts, prepared himself purposefully for Sochi, and shortly before the Games, he again knew the taste of the podium.

Integral features of a biathlete Dmitry Malyshko, which last season entrenched in the rank of one of the leaders of the world biathlon - high speed, fighting character and unpredictability. After an absolute victory at the World Cup in Oberhof, he earned the respect of the two pillars of the men's biathlon - Martin Fourcade and Emil Hegle Svendsen, who were frankly afraid of the growing strength of the next Russian biathlete of the new wave. At the 2013 World Championships, Dmitry was left without awards, but he demonstrated his potential. And as the example shows Anton Shipulin With experience, results will surely come.

Many do not know that three years ago, Malyshko's entire career and even health were in jeopardy. During preparatory training for the season, he felt unwell and was hospitalized. The only way out is heart surgery and further hopes for the best. Two weeks after it, Dmitry had already returned to training, a month later he had his first start, and then he came to the Russian Championship in Uvat. Before the first race, I accidentally met a St. Petersburg coach Dmitry Kucherov who said: “I have a great boyfriend - Dima Malyshko. Remember this name, tomorrow he will be in prizes. I was surprised by the fact that he said this in a sober mind and sound memory, but I did not argue on my own happiness. A day later, Malyshko finished second with a minimum gap from Ivan Cherezov. It was clear that the guy was ready to sacrifice for the sake of big sport many.

Later from stories Anatoly Alyabyeva it became known that he was returning for the second time. Previously, due to lack of funding in St. Petersburg, Dmitry almost went to work as a bank manager. Alyabyev helped to get money from the budget that is ridiculous for today, which was barely enough for inventory. Malyshko, on the other hand, preferred sports to banking and did not lose. This season seems to have decided to test his strength again. December was marked by average results and the loss of the relay finish to the Swede Karl Johan Bergman, for which the athlete received a considerable portion of criticism. In January, he showed the best speed at a distance several times, but misses in shooting did not allow him to reach the coveted podium. Fate seemed to be postponing a new date with the podium to Sochi.

And at the final stage he ran for Russia, who on the last lap won the fight with the German Simon Schempp and was the first to cross the finish line. , so we will not repeat ourselves - just once again admire his excellent performance.
