Everything about the 2019 Olympiads, admission to them, detailed information

Admission to the Olympiads is one of the ways to gain advantages over other applicants in admission. ...

IMPORTANT: to take advantage of the Olympiad benefits, you must score at least 75 points on the exam. In some universities, it is higher.

The admission Olympics can be used by you as:

    • 100 points in a specialized subject Olympiad;
    • enrollment without competition;
    • additional points to the exam for individual achievements;
There are times when the Olympiad is held in several subjects at once. What matters is what subject is written in your final document.

Which Olympiads are taken into account and which are not?

There are two main directions of the Olympiad, the victory and prizes in which will give you something.

    1) All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren

Having the most weight, the "main" Olympiad.

Organization of the Olympiad... The Olympiad is free, takes place in several stages (about them below). It so happens that those who go to the final stages need to visit neighboring cities or even regions in order to continue participating. For participants, everything is free and paid from the budget, by local authorities.

Winners receive... Money or benefits upon admission. 60 thousand rubles for the winner, 30 thousand for the prize-winner from 14 to 25 years old. The winners go to the university without entrance examinations in the specialty where the subject of the Olympiad is needed. There is a second option: they receive 100 points in the profile subject of the Olympiad, if they choose a specialty, the entrance examinations of which do not include the subject in which they won.

This Olympiad takes place in several stages:

STAGE 1. School. It takes place in October-November. Anyone can participate, if they wish. It happens that you may not be invited. Ask yourself if you're interested. Approach the classroom teacher or principal with these questions. If you were refused, there is a reason to contact the local ministry.

STEP 2. Municipal. It takes place in November-December. Winners and prize-winners of the school stage of THIS and PAST years can participate.

STAGE 3. Regional. It takes place in January-February. All children from grades 9-11, who are winners and prize-winners of the previous stage, can participate.

STAGE 4. Final. It takes place in March-May. The winners of the regional stage of this year, the winners and prize-winners of the final stage of the PAST year are participating.

    2) School Olympiads

Unlike the All-Russian Olympiad, the school Olympiad gives fewer bonuses to the students participating in it. First, it does not oblige universities to take into account its results upon admission and to provide benefits upon admission. In the rules for admission of universities, in the section "registration of additional achievements" there is usually a list of Olympiads that will give you extra. points. Look for the rules of admission and see. In other words, each university independently decides which Olympiads to take into account.

List of Olympiads for schoolchildren 2018/2019 *

    * Higher level Olympiads have priority over lower level Olympiads upon admission.

    Watch online:

Organization of the Olympiad... The Olympiad is free for participants, however, if you need to travel to another city or region to continue, no one is obliged to pay for it. They can, but they don't have to. There are cases when they were paid, but not a fact.

Winners receive... Money (can receive, but not necessarily), sometimes benefits in the form of additional. points to the Unified State Exam in some Olympiads in some universities. Which Olympiads are taken into account and which are not, is indicated in the admission rules of each specific university.

Usually the Olympiad takes place in several stages:

STAGE 1. Qualifying. Held from September to the end of January. Anyone is allowed to participate. You register on the website of the Olympiad, you receive tasks on the Internet that you do right at home. As a result, 2/3 of the participants drop out, and those who succeed go to the 2nd stage.

STEP 2. Final. Held from February to the end of March. Unlike the first stage, not on a computer, but in person. That is, to participate, you need to personally be in a place specified by the organizers. This place may be in another region, city. You don't have to pay for the move.

    How to use the Olympiads?

If you won prizes or won any of the Olympiads, you need to attach the relevant documents to the package of documents that you submit to the selection committee of the selected university.

Please note that you can enroll in the Olympiad only for one specialty at one university. Serve at 5, but with the use of the Olympiad as an advantage in only one.

Every year more and more schoolchildren participate in various Olympiads. And of course, in addition to the desired victory, they are worried about the question of entering a university. After all, universities offer prizewinners certain benefits. Some universities equate winning the Olympiad with 100 points on the Unified State Exam in a subject, while others enroll the Olympiad winners in certain subjects immediately, out of competition.

First, you need to decide which Olympiads generally give the winners benefits upon admission.

    Among them:

There is one more type of Olympiads, which is held under the auspices of various charitable organizations and foundations. It is aimed at identifying the talents and creativity of schoolchildren. Winning such an Olympiad does not give any advantages in admission, however, it can bring the prize-winner a good income. Because, as a rule, the prize in such a competition is a grant for the study of a subject abroad, or a sum of money for the implementation of some creative or scientific idea.

International Olympiads conducted in mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, computer science, geography, astronomy and natural sciences.

All-Russian- in 21 disciplines: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, Russian language, literature, foreign languages (English, French, German), history, ecology, economics, social science, law, physical education, technology, life safety, astronomy, computer science and world art culture.

It is the victory at the final stages in the international or All-Russian Olympiad that is encouraged by universities by out-of-competition enrollment, or by equating the result to 100 points on the Unified State Exam.

However, in accordance with Art. 16 of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation "On Education", having the privilege of the winner or prize-winner of the specified Olympiads, your child can enroll on a preferential basis only to one university or college for one direction preparation corresponding to the profile of the Olympiad, i.e. for one specialty. Enrolling in universities other than the Olympiad profile, your child will participate in the competition on a general basis.

In addition, according to the rules, the benefits for admission to a university out of competition will be valid only if the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiads have scored at least 75 points on the Unified State Exam in a specialized subject.

How long are the results of the Olympiad valid?

The Ministry of Education and Science determined that the results are valid for 4 years, so now students can take care of their successful admission in advance.

What documents must the student submit to the university for admission?

For admission to a university out of competition, it is necessary to provide, among other documents:

Original document proving identity and citizenship

    State document on education

Diploma of the winner or prize-winner of the corresponding Olympiad.

At what age can you participate in the Olympiads?

Any schoolchild from grades 5 to 11 can take part in such competitions.

The All-Russian Olympiad is always held in stages, in 2016-2017 the dates for each stage are determined as follows:

    1. School stage(September-October 2016). It takes place in each educational institution between students of all grades, starting from the fifth. The assignments are developed by the methodological commission of the city level.
    2. Municipal stage(December 2016 - January 2017). The winners of the school stage, students in grades 7-11, participate. Tasks are drawn up by the organizers of the regional stage, officials at the local level are responsible for the implementation.
    3. Regional stage(January - February 2017). It is held among students in grades 9-11 who received first places at the municipal stage or won at the regional stage last year.
    4. All-Russian stage(March-April 2017). Those who took first places in the previous stages or won last year participate. Organizer - Ministry of Education of Russia.

The IOC's decision this week to excommunicate the Russian team from the next Olympic Games sparked a heated discussion in the networks and led to the traditional questions for Russia - who is to blame and what to do?

    Opinions were divided.

Some were indignant about how the IOC adversaries dared to excommunicate our sacred team from the altar international sports, this is discrimination and all that.

Others rejoiced in the sense that it was right for us, now we will wait for the cancellation of our sacred football championship or at least the disqualification of the national team, so that sports humiliation takes on a complete form.

On the question of who is to blame, disagreements also arose - some have traditionally been guilty of Western enemies (read Putin's partners), others - Putin himself. Still others have a bad sports boyar, Mutko, whom Putin apparently cannot defeat in any way.

By the way, Mutko himself said about the incident that he was always ready to leave his post, but so far no one has dismissed him, so he will continue to work. In general, the logic is similar to that of Putin - until they are driven away, you can sit and row. It is even necessary - they didn’t chase away! Not kicked out - it means that everything is being done correctly, it works satisfactorily, it is better for no one to work.

How to be in the current situation - two opposite opinions also arose.

Some said that it was necessary to boycott the Olympics, because it is not patriotic to perform under a neutral rag. Others (and Putin among them) said that athletes have every right to compete and should not be hindered.

The most interesting thing is that for several days some managed to give out directly opposite opinions, first speaking in favor of boycotting the Olympics, and then (after Putin spoke out against the boycott) - for the athletes to rode freely and compete under a neutral flag.

In addition, such an interesting opinion was expressed that it was the IOC's decision to excommunicate the Russian national team from the Olympic action that pushed Putin to the decision to participate in the next elections, that is, to go for a new presidential term. One might think, had it not been for this decision of the IOC, Putin would have refused to participate in the elections and retired - haha three times ...

One way or another, there were many different opinions and the proper unity (tm) was not observed even among the "united".

Therefore, I want to offer my own version of the attitude towards the suspension of our team, and at the same time the answer to the question of how to be in this situation and what to do.

My opinion is that we do not really need the winter (I emphasize - the winter) Olympics in the foreseeable future.

Therefore, it makes no difference whether they invite us there or not, whether athletes go there under Russian flags, whether they go under neutral flags or not at all.

That is all indifferent and that's it.

About the same as, by and large, the participation of the Russian team in some golf tournaments or hamburger eating competitions is indifferent. Or in the Guinness Book of Records.

Now you are very worried about whether athletes from Russia participate in hamburger eating competitions held somewhere in the United States and, if they do, then with or without flags?

Personally, I don't really care. And for our state, participation or non-participation in the competition for eating hamburgers with or without flags does not play a fundamental role in my opinion.

How many Russian citizens are mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records and whether there are images of the tricolor next to their names - it also seems to me insignificant.

The same applies to golf tournaments and other specific sports that are not very popular in our country.

Of course, for specific athletes playing golf or eating hamburgers at speed, this can all be very important, they would like to go to international competitions and perform there under the national flag. And so that in case of victory they will be shown on Match.TV and maybe even on Channel One. But this is important only for them, for hundreds or thousands of people, for their friends or relatives, but for Russia as a whole it is not important.

Agree that Russia today has many more important and significant problems than playing at a golf tournament or hamburger eating competition.

That's when there will be no other problems and we will be exhausted from boredom and tormented by the question of where else to perform, where we haven’t performed yet, what title has not been won yet, in what else to show our prowess and talent - then it will really matter to us whether we are called to play golf, eat hamburgers at speed, or spit cockroaches at a distance.

Someone may object that comparing the Olympics with some kind of golf tournament, or even more so with a competition in eating hamburgers, is simply incorrect.

The competition for eating hamburgers is a specific event, hardly a thousand spectators gather for it, and not a single normal person watches it on TV. Whether it's the case Olympic Games- they are watched by more than a billion people around the world, all countries participate in them - a completely different level, a completely different scale!

Yes, the scale is very different.

But what if a billion people are watching the Olympics?

What fundamentally changes for Russia from whether a billion people will see Russian athletes at this Olympics or not?

Will our oil be more expensive from this?

Will more tourists come to us?

Will the ruble rise in price?

You yourself, when you watched the past Olympic Games and saw athletes from other countries, ran to the store to buy goods from these countries? Or did you go to these countries as a tourist? How did the victories of athletes from this country or its place in the final table influence your attitude to this or that country?

In general, do you remember well which countries took places from first to fifth in two or three past Olympiads? Can you list from memory without looking at the Internet?

It is clear that the highest places are always occupied by the USA, China, Great Britain and Germany. But does your attitude towards these countries depend on how successful their athletes are at the next games? Do you remember their performances if you are not a fan of a specific athlete from these countries?

The vast majority of spectators who watch the Olympic Games quickly forget the performances of most athletes, especially from other countries. Only the brightest moments remain in memory, such as some exceptional records or, on the contrary, exceptional failures, such as falls, loss of the baton and similar situations. However, even this is not always associated with the country that the athlete represented - it happens that a fall is remembered or, on the contrary, an outstanding achievement, and from which country the athlete was - not everyone will say.

The audience mainly follows the performance of athletes from their own country, and they look at representatives of other countries insofar as. From the entire Olympic show, the viewer singles out the performances of his national team, and athletes from other countries, with rare exceptions, merge into one variegated mass and are quickly forgotten.

This means that the national team of the country goes to the Olympics not so much to show themselves to the whole world, but to show themselves to their compatriots, so that they can watch the performances of their athletes against the background of athletes from other countries.

Thus, the meaning of a trip to the Olympics is almost completely reduced to the fact that we ourselves see how our athletes will perform there.

But if we want to watch the performances of our athletes, is it really necessary to send the national team for this to the Olympic Games?

It is clear that performance at the Olympic Games, among other national teams, looks more solid than at domestic competitions. More party, more competition, many events, a bunch of records, a brighter picture, and so on.

But, if desired, this can be largely reproduced within Russia.

Above, I made an important reservation that we are talking about winter Olympics- and you probably already guess where I am leading.

Just four years ago, Russia built a full complex of Olympic facilities in Sochi - these are completely new facilities that will remain modern for another twenty years.

Who prevents us from conducting our own winter Games?

    Yes, no one bothers!

Who will remove our team from the Winter Games in Sochi?

    Nobody will remove!

Every four years, in parallel with the Winter Olympics, you can hold your own version - the Russian championship in winter sports, and at quite Olympic venues.

The Russian championships in winter sports are still being held, but they are distributed in time and in different cities, but you can collect them all and hold them every 4 years in Sochi, for one or two weeks. Due to this, there will be more spectators in the stands and in front of the TV too. Because it is much more interesting to see the whole complex of winter sports at once.

In addition, the winter sports championship can be declared open - then athletes from other countries will come to it and it will turn out to be a quite representative get-together.

Of course, mostly not the strongest athletes will come, who either did not make it to the national teams of their countries, or could not prove themselves in them. But we still want to look mainly at our athletes, we need the rest mainly for the entourage - that will be the entourage.

By the way, it will even be interesting to compare the results shown at the Russian open winter sports championship with the results of the parallel Olympics.

If you wish, you can mix the results of our "Olympiad" and "ours". You can even mix the picture of the performances.

In short, if we want to watch the performances of our athletes, and we want to watch mainly ours, no one and nothing prevents us from doing this.

We can watch the performances of Russian athletes before the Olympic Games, after the Olympic Games or during the Olympic Games - whenever we want.

And this, among other things, has a purely economic sense.

Almost $ 50 billion was spent on the preparation and holding of the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, which is almost 10 times more than other countries spent on the previous winter games.

Therefore, we now need to hold something like the Olympic Games in Sochi 10 times so that these costs for the construction of Sochi facilities are more or less justified.

So why do we need the Olympics, to which they decided not to invite us?

We have Olympic facilities, we have athletes, we have stands, we have a TV set.

Bringing your athletes to your own Sochi and placing them there is not a problem. It is also not a problem to invite those who wish from other countries. The cost of renting multiple hotels for a couple of weeks is nonsense compared to what has been spent on building Olympic venues in the past. To send a picture from the competition on Russian channels is all the more not a problem. Even the stands are not a problem to fill - spectators come to the KHL matches and other competitions, and here there are a lot of sports at once, you can watch more in one day than anywhere else.

It is another matter that the Russian leadership, due to its rare stupidity, Western worship and handshake, does not organize anything of the kind.

Mutko lacks either the brains or the courage to offer something similar and bring it to fruition.

In addition, at the Russian winter sports championship at the long-built Olympic facilities it is impossible to cut as much money as they saw at the real Olympics in 2014, so this idea has no pocket sense for Russian officials.

But this is a completely different conversation.

Here I just wanted to say that there is no objective need for Russia to participate in the Winter Olympic Games in the foreseeable future.

We can just as well conduct large-scale competitions in winter sports ourselves - we have everything for this.

And it would be even more profitable, because through the sale of tickets for the stands and TV broadcasts, it would be possible not only to compensate for the costs of the competition itself, but also to recoup some of the past costs for the construction of facilities in Sochi.

And if such competitions became systematic, they would attract attention abroad and become a completely independent and independent sporting event. You could also invent your own name for them - Russian games, for example.

And then the IOC would be forced to think hard who they did worse by removing the Russian national team and getting alternative winter games.

    Therefore, the conclusion is:

By and large, we don't need a trip to the Winter Olympics.

    We need normal power.

Because when there is a normal government in a country, there is always a way to watch the performances of its own athletes and be happy for their results. All the more so when the full complex of Olympic facilities was built just four years ago.

And when the country is full of swindlers and idiots instead of normal government, then the removal of the Russian team from the trip to the Olympic Games really turns into a large-scale problem, which is deliberately inflated by the authorities in order to play on patriotic feelings and create an image of an enemy from which Putin supposedly defends the country.

But what is the big difference whether they are going or not. Russian athletes to the Olympic Games, in what composition and under what flag, when do we have the power in our country that we have the joy of watching?

What difference does it make to how fast Russian athletes run compared to others when Russia, figuratively speaking, has no head?

Olympiad for schoolchildren is called the solution by students of different classes of tasks in various subjects of the school curriculum or on interdisciplinary topics. How can Olympiads for schoolchildren be useful and interesting for an ordinary schoolchild? Do you prepare for the Olympiads at school? Is it difficult to take part in the Olympiad? Do I need to pay money to participate in the Olympiad? Do the Olympiads help in the future in studies and in entering the university? What is the role of parents in the child's participation in the Olympiads? Let's try to understand these issues in general terms.

The main thing is not victory, the main thing is participation

Every year, at the parent forum in the fall, the topic of the Russian Bear Cub Olympiad in the Russian language arises, and each time the parents have one, but a huge claim for this Olympiad - “as a child in the 2nd ... 3rd ... 5th grade can know that- this and that, his this was not taught at school».

Why does this question arise specifically in relation to this Olympiad? Most likely, this is the very first mass school Olympiad for the child and his parent. It is designed for children starting from grade 2, and, despite its "charge", is a very high-quality product, as it is organized by people who professionally work with gifted children.

(For participation in the "Russian Bear" you need to pay a little money, however, it is worth noting - if the child is among the winners, the prizes received will many times exceed the cost of participation, and small memorabilia like magnets and bookmarks are given to all participants.)

This is not taught in school.

The principle “this was not taught at school” is correct in relation to any Olympiad. The Olympics are not a test. Olympiad tasks are designed in such a way that the child, when solving tasks, could not find answers to these tasks in a textbook or on the Internet in a finished form. When solving Olympiads, a child needs both independent thinking skills and the ability to make a non-standard decision.

The Olympics are a great way to find a “success situation”: even if the school puts on the student the "C grade" mark, even if the child does not succeed in the control tests, it is quite possible that he will be able to handle the Olympiad tasks. Simply because the child will not be punished for the fact that the solution to the problem is not written down in two cells, and not indented by four. The technical requirements for participation in the Olympiads are usually quite simple for children to understand and fairly simple attentiveness.

Any participation in any Olympiad, in principle, is a big plus for a child.... The child sees differently formulated tasks and understands that the subject is not limited to a boring school textbook, in any subject there is a lot of interesting and unfamiliar, what is worth learning and what is worth striving for... And even if it doesn't work out today, you can prepare, read additional literature, ask your parents or teacher questions.

In addition, the sites of the Olympiads, as a rule, contain tasks from previous years, most often with verification. This is an excellent material for additional study of the subject and for self-control.

Are Olympiads held at the school? Do you prepare for the Olympiads at school?

Some of the Olympiads for schoolchildren are held only at school... There are schools in which, starting from the elementary level, the participation of children in the Olympiads is welcomed and encouraged at the management level, there is a separate person who is responsible for working with children in the part of the Olympiads. Such schools, as a rule, are venues for mass Olympiads (such as the aforementioned Russian Bear Cub, the Kangaroo Mathematics Olympiad, the EMU Olympiad, the British Bulldog English Olympiad, and intramural Olympiad venues for middle and high school). But what if your child's school does not have time for this kind of work? Does the child have no chance?

Certainly something impossible do it yourself. For example, if your school does not hold a Russian Bear, then the child will have to go to another school with the consent of the organizing committee, since this Olympiad is, in principle, held only on the school playground, it cannot be written at home.

In the middle and senior management, the situation is changing.

The main Olympiad, which must be carried out at the school level, becomes from 7 (and even from 5) grade All-Russian Olympiad for Schoolchildren (VOSH)... VOSH is a multi-level system; it has a school, district (city), regional and federal level. (In Yekaterinburg, as in other large cities with regional divisions, there is no special city tour.)

To reach participation in the federal level, you must pass all levels from the very beginning: take part in a school tour, the best guys from the school go on a district (city) tour, the best from the city go to the region, the best from the region go to the federal level.

Pupils of the 7th and 8th grade (in mathematics from grade 5) take part only in the school and district (city) tour, the regional tour is not conducted for them, the children of the 9-11th grades go to it. (If a child from 5-8 grades solves tasks for 9th grade, he participates in the regional tour on an equal basis with ninth graders. Such talents exist). Participation in VOS is absolutely free for the participant.

In Yekaterinburg, school and regional rounds of the Olympiad are held under the name "Young intellectuals of Yekaterinburg", the conduct of these tours is coordinated by the city Department of Education, and the municipal information and methodological centers of the corresponding districts of the city are directly involved in the organization. By order of the city, the schedule of school and district tours is approved. School tours are held in the 1st quarter school year, regional - in 2, regional - in 3, federal tours are held in March-April.

Basically, a parent can remind to your child about the school tour, even if the school teacher does not do this, this information is open on the websites of schools and the IMC.

As a rule, VOSh is not prepared for the school and district tour, although assignments from previous years in various subjects are quite easy to find on the Internet.

In the Sverdlovsk region, there is a system of preparation for the federal round, schools of such preparation are held in the third quarter of the academic year on the basis of higher educational institutions in Yekaterinburg. School preparation for each subject lasts a week. It is free for participants, but for residents of other cities, the regional authorities do not pay for their stay in Yekaterinburg during the school.

School Olympics - School or Family?

The HOS system does not at all intersect with other Olympiads aimed at middle and senior schoolchildren. Other Olympiads are held, as a rule, outside the school playground, they have a different system of rounds - each Olympiad has its own. And the school, as a rule, absolutely does not stimulate the participation of children in these Olympiads in any way. A teacher who is interested in the success of his children, of course, can post an advertisement for the Olympiad, but it is simply impossible to get schoolchildren to participate en masse in these processes.

It turns out the Olympiads invented, they there is, but often children and olympiads are just in parallel planes... The school does not create conditions for the intersection of these planes.

The most interesting thing in the system of olympiads outside the school is participation in the so-called "Olympiads from the list" because they directly affect university admission.

An unofficial site that remarkably tracks information about the All-Russian, and is also an excellent integrator of information about school Olympiads in general:

The official site, which annually publishes a list of Olympiads, the order of which is determined by the Ministry of Education - “Olympiads from the list”: (Please note that the “Olympiads from the list” change annually, in addition, their level may change.)

Something like this on the website of the administration of the city of Yekaterinburg looks like information about the festival "Young Intellectuals of Yekaterinburg":
